I’ve not known the team “leaked” before. We knew who was playing in the afternoon. Did Chicho even pick it? Dont think a manager has this season. That’s going off buzz’s words

We started to look much better defensively till Helik got injured. If he is out for any length of time then I think my optimism will finally wain. With say no Helik, Pearson, Turpin, Yuta, Boyle (to a lesser extent) , Nichols the next I do think it’s hard we will concede less than we can score.

The players seem to have accepted their fate for some reason. Not sure I’ve seen a team as lethargic, not seemingly upset by some of the poor calls by the Ref.
How we’ve gone from a team with so much spirit to this is beyond me.
A team of strangers at times.
It’s as though there’s a bloody curse been cast over the club… 😵💫
We now have a 15 game season where we need to increase our performance levels and points gained by around 30% or more from the previous 31 games. It’s a tough ask, but at least we have the benefit that a number of other sides are just about as shite as we are.

I’m still struggling with that team selection. So much so it’s making me angry and I want an explanation from the coaches involved! We have 5 strikers that have played first team football this season. 2 others in Hudlin and Harrett that have played league football. Can someone from the coaching staff please explain why only 1 (ONE!!!) was picked in the match day squad. Ward is injured, Harrett not sure he can play. The rest? I think Ward and Kamberi are injured, Hudlin and Rhodes were poorly and, for some reason, Harratt and Simpson played for the B team leaving only Waghorn. No idea why one of the B team 2 weren't driven straight to Stoke to be on the bench, at least.

The decision-making is utterly awful, when you consider we played with a two for the B team. Surely Simpson could have been put on the bench? Or Harratt? Goodness knows we needed more than just Waghorn towing away on his own. In and among the doom and gloom, I do wonder whether last night may prove to be a blessing in (a very convincing) disguise. That's as bad as we've been. Anaemic, passive football with no aggression and no desire. The performance of a team that is ill, that needed to chuck its guts up to start the healing process. Today represents the day of chicken soup and dry toast, with any luck. A few home truths will be spoken, of that I have no doubt. Perhaps its best to get that all out of the way before the arrival of Warnock. Yes, that analogy is terrible. But I hope it's right. 4 points separate us from Cardiff. We have a game in hand and we have to go there. We'll get players back (Helik in particular). We have a man-manager at long last. If last night happened in four weeks, I'd probably not say any of this. But there is still a faint glimmer of hope which we need to grasp.

we had the Stoke commentary on and they were waxing lyrical about Stoke like they were bloody Brazil. I thought they were bang average, we were just utter garbage.......seems to me all the teams around us are pretty crap so we are still in this fight with Colin at the helm!!!

The trouble is that the gap is now increasing again plus we've given the other two sides in the shit with us a big confidence boost and in the process of the Blackpool, Wigan game and again yesterday demonstrated our abject ability to keep clean sheets or dominate games. We had 3 games versus relegation fighters in succession to turn the heat up on them but them under some pressure, we failed in all three. So many opportunities this season to get our noses out of trouble but each time we seem to stick it further in the shit.

So many opportunities this season to get our noses out of trouble but each time we seem to stick it further in the shit. I'm not going to disagree. We've had so many opportunities and we're hitting the hardest run of the season, but stranger things have happened. I'll admit we haven't played well for 90 minutes once this season, but you never know. I watch football to try to enjoy it, hard as that can be sometimes. But sport is a funny thing. England Test cricket have gone from stale garbage to entertaining, winning cricket almost overnight, with the same players. Football teams have pulled back from the brink time after time. I still have some faith.

Yes thank you. But to be honest I am sarcastic/flippant/ironic etc etc, usually in response to the wildly swinging commments on here but I dont think anybody will find I am in the habit of dishing out the personal vile that people post on here. Glad you understand me. Back to the subject matter. That wasnt good last night, was it.

Not since the 10-1 at Maine Road have I ever seen a worse performance than that. Add to that the fact that Stoke are crap and I only have one word to say....
Doooooomed!

I switched on last night full of anticipation,I was slightly encouraged by the 1st 5 minutes,Stoke then got 2 corners gifted,I winced at the 1st and expected the worst for the 2nd,after the comedy goal went in at 13 minutes I switched off and watched a recording I had made. When that finished at 9-45 I looked at the results and was not surprised to see Towns.Justification at the switch, I missed a pile of garbage apparently judging by the posts on here.If I had NW,s phone number I would tell him to stay retired.

Needed to have a look at that again, seeing as you don’t get replays on the RB. Not a lot you can say about the keeper there, he’s way off saving that, then ends up in the net after not touching anyone. Poor…

Not as poor as Tom Lees failing to win a header or even lay a glove on a 5'11" 40 year old.

A few random comments on Stoke message board below. I agree with all of them.
'Huddersfield will finish bottom'.
'What an absolute whores maw of a sid'e.
Huddersfield are probably the worst side I’ve seen since we got relegated.
'Stevenage were better than those useless wankers from Huddersfield tonight. And we think we’ve got it bad. Definite League One members next year unless Warnock somehow manages to find something in there. They just looked diabolical all over.'
'Colin is 74 now and had to be coaxed out of retirement because either Huddersfield are completely out of ideas or everyone else they approached told them to fuck off.'
'They’re truly, truly rancid and I think they’re absolute certainties to finish rock bottom even with Mr Wanker esq. at the helm.'

Probably because they are shite. Just because they are there, doesnt mean they are any good. Right what’s the alternative? play fucking none!? Im just being argumentative to be honest, im out of alternatives for this lot. I just hope warnock can pull something out the bag and we get a fresh start with the ownership asap because my enthusiasm is gone and has been for a while.

I've been following Town since the early '70s and I've seen some poor players and teams. Now I'm not going to say that this is the worst Town team I've ever seen, but they are pretty atrocious. It looks as though many want out, they are timid and unsure, and when the opposition get the ball for any period of time and their confidence drains away. A few of things I noticed about last night: 1. Remember when we used to laugh at teams that would just hoof free kicks (from any position on the field) into the penalty area? That's us now. 2. The first touch from some of the players is appalling - Lowton and Koroma... hang your heads in shame. 3. Not one of the midfielders is anywhere near the penalty area if on the rare occasion we get Hungbo in a clear position to cross. (I'm trying to remember which midfielders have scored this season). 4. The default is to hoof it up to one of the smallest strikers in the Championship and when he goes off, just hoof it (the "gerit forad" lot will be happy). I'm trying to remember a team as consistently bad as this - no plan, no organisation, no method of play. At least Warnock will not let us go down without a fight. To be honest, there's every chance we will play more football, and better football under Warnock than we have under Pelach. And Warnock is a so-called long ball merchant. The football under Pelach has been utterly appalling. Hoof and hope with little direction.

Could they get that on the dressing room wall so the players can see what opposition fans think of them
