Someone stated earlier " it's just a game", but it isn't is it, it is history, it is a symbol of the Town it is part of the weave of life within the town of Huddersfield, it is the stuff of dreams and despondency, it is what motivates so many kids to start playing football. It is jobs for quite a few people, it is pride and passion, it's rivalry and bragging rights, it is the talk of every playground in Huddersfield on Monday, it is what my dad gave to me and I gave to my son and daughter and have now given to my grandson, it is part of the history of my family and a thousand memories personally of games gone by over the last 50 years. It is the thousdands it has cost many fans for many years. Above all else it is about time our team realised it is all of the above and more, they need to undertsand it is not just a game and a pay packet, Huddersfield Town mean so much more to us , because when they have gone it is still our team, always will be. We need players who understand this and wnat to die for the shirt. Relegation beckons , but lets go down with a fight please, not the kind of simpering terrible football we saw today. If you’re referencing me I said “it’s a football match, nobody died” in response to one of our ‘fans’ calling our players ‘scum’ and ‘a cancer’, in that context I think a bit of relativity was called for. |

I may have allowed Wagner to put out teams that had little intention of making a game of it, it was different circumstances and I didnt like it. Last weeks lack of belief and ambition started on Thursday and culminated in the team doing nothing but fulfill a fixture, its a poor marker placed down and it showed today. If you dont win then lose well, just losing and fucking it off leads here. |

Let’s hope these buyers still want us in league one And this is my thought exactly, they must have known there was a distinct possibility of relegation. Like someone else posted if we now scare off potential buyers then administration seems closer to realisation. I'm worried If they do still want us in league one I'd imagine Dean will have to drop his price dramatically. At the moment I believe he's still funding the club so, for his bank balances sake, the sooner he does some sort of deal the better for all. |

The so called leaders in the squad have gone missing , yet last season when thigns were good the leaders were there yet this season nowhere . Behind the scenes might be up in the air, yet the players are getting paid nothings has changed for them in terms of their liveley hodds. I have seen town sides, not get paid and never ever give up , play when they weren't getting paid etc , yes they weren't good neough but they tried. Totday i saw a town side who just gave up like last week, that is simply not good enough and should never be good enough . They are purely a dreadful bunch of footballers. The surprise performances from Ward, Rhodes, Pearson etc last season are no longer there - maybe they're finally past it, maybe they thrived under a genuinely good manager. But overall they are an awful group of players. |

But overall they are an awful group of players. We defended our half and we scored 25 goals from set pieces. Many games were knife edge but went our way. It was very dull but simple and the players bought into the success it brought wether they liked it much or not, the work rate was excellent and mostly efficient. Any periods of efficiency this season have been via upped workrate and closing down, they have been sparse though. Defending deeper, quicker and for longer hasnt worked, we let in too many and we dont score from set pieces. Being dull but efficient meant we were more likely to fall away than repeat the season. Truth is the two players we sold were very important to how it worked, probably too much so. |

Can't be arsed trawling back on this thread, but I guess I'd agree with most of it. FWIW I thought Hungbo was our best player, Rudoni & Diarra also put a shift in, but the rest were garbage. Ward was the worst player on the pitch and if Warnock thinks he's the answer up front, then we really are well and truly fucked.
Some of the so called experienced players are taking the piss with their recent performances. I'd ditch Lees, Hogg and Ward on Tuesday and Helik only gets in because we don't have much else. I'd go shit or bust v Brizzle with the following team
Pegleg (Bilko's not quite ready yet)
Lowton (only because we've no better)
Pearson
Helik
Jackson
Kasumu (assuming he's fit)
Camara
Rudoni
Knockheart
Simpson (he can't be any worse than Ward)
