Notice it has all gone quiet on the Man City charges front, a little reach around for the Premier League and all is okay no doubt. Had any club outside the PL or even any PL club outisde their protected bubble (lets not forget the zero action taken against them for the ESL stuff, which by the way the PL already is) we would have seen instant point deductions and fines etc. It's who you blow.

The PL haven’t got the financial clout to take on City. Like Newcastle now they are pretty much untouchable with their unlimited funds to employ the best lawyers

Wigan players have gone on strike apparently? Perhaps the EFL should suspend them for the rest of the season and make their results this season invalid. I wouldn’t have a problem with that.

The EFL are a complete joke. The top 2 are under a transfer embargo. Coventry can postpone their first 3 games all at very short notice without punishment. Reading may or may not get the suspended points deduction. The Rotherham V Cardiff game is yet to be rescheduled. A potential buyer of Birmingham lent the club money before he took over which is not allowed but when he pulled out the EFL took no action. They have goal line technology that can be disrupted if a goalpost or a lot of players are in the way. Any more anyone can think of?

Pretty sure they’ve said it’s going to be around 3 more years of investigation yet on that charge The simple fact that football steals the headlines for as many off the pitch things as it does on pitch, tells you all you need to know what a shitfest modern football has become. It’s why we should all be a little tempered around the new owners, we haven’t a clue what their objectives are, are there any underlying motives etc.

And that is damning - utterly bloody damning indeed ! ☹️

Allegedly PGMOL is a private company, with a monopoly to provide refs and officials. It is funded by the PL and EFL. It has it's own structure, rules, employees, training programs..independent from the FA. It's a private contractor, it is not governed by the FA.. As a private company it can be held liable in law.. I don't know if it has a long term contract with the FA to provide 'excellence' in match day officiating (haha)..or if the contract is re tendered, open to competition...

That's the risk you take by being daft enough to sign for Wigan.

Chinny reckon? Aw man, I don't like relying on teams getting docked points and imploding to stay up - but right now, I'll take it!

Allegedly After what a referee and Barcelona have been accused of and knowing that the big Greek has been accused of match fixing, allegedly is being very very nice.

Wigan have QPR at home next. We could probably do with them winning that and bringing another team into relegation trouble. Let’s hope the players are paid by then and up for it.
