Obviously hope we don’t go into admin, but that’s mainly because of the impact on small businesses that will be creditors.

I always thought there might be a stage where a deal couldn’t be done and DH decided to finally cut his losses and stopped putting money in, thus meaning we’d enter administration.
Are we maybe approaching that stage

Fact, Dean and Phil are not stupid when it comes to making money and businesses, when Phil bought 25% shares, he and Dean knew his Pure Bussiness was going down the pan, so did the deal that suited them both.
Since then and now somewhere trust in that deal changed, so Dean has been forced to claw some of his money back an alternative way, totally slashing to the bones of the running of the club, hence to where we are now.
Will Dean come out and tell the truth what really went on behind the scenes, very much doubt it.
This could really turn out nasty between the 2 of them when the books are looked into.

The fact that this is now a serious discussion just shows how badly the club has been run since we reached the cash cow league. The powers that be should be ashamed, especially after peddling the 'custodian' bollocks year after year. This would be a disaster for the club, the staff and for the countless businesses left out of pocket. How can this have been allowed to happen under the watch of people that supposedly support the club? Why wasn't the club sold last season when they had interested parties looking to buy? Selfish greed and gambling the clubs future on promotion can be the only answer. Fuck the lot of them! If we had beaten Forest in the final last year would you still be saying the same thing? But we did lose to Forest and now nailed on for relegation just 9 months later. That hypothetical world is great though, isn't it?

A lot of know it all’s on this thread that can tell us all exactly how things have played out. Only issue being, they know the square root of fuck all. As we’ve already established, you fit firmly in the camp of knowing the square root of fuck all on all aspects of Huddersfield Town and football. Instead all you do is berate fans for debating about the shite situation the clubs in whilst you sit pretending it’s everyone else’s fault. What was it you said at the start of the season…? Hang on a minute, we are all shocked, disappointed and unhappy about yesterday's news. But 'shocking state of the Club'We are good Championship level Club We have finished 3rd only last season We lost a play-off final to get to the Premier League We have secured long-term deals for key Players such as Sorba and Nicholls We have some superb Players such as LOB and Toffolo (well, at the time of writing we do!) Loads of season tickets sold (and we all like the cheap price we pay for them don't we?) We have a great squad of Players in my opinion But the club is in a 'shocking state'?.The risk of administration is real and rightly should and can be debated by fans. That’s the whole point of a fan discussion forum, If you don’t like it, don’t read it and clear off. Take prepare with you whilst you’re at it. My loyalties lay with Huddersfield Town, not Hoyle, Hodgkinson or anyone else. I dont apologise for discussing such a crucial time and decision such as this. Oooft this is outstanding detective work.

Is this the Illusory truth effect? If that isn't the name of a 70s prog rock band then it bloody well should be.

It would be typical town to go into administration and suffer the associated points deduction, then accumulate enough points to have stayed up without the administration points deduction.

I'm sure the irony of you telling others they know the square root of fuck all is completely wasted on you. Give it a rest, move on from me and find another poster where you can lurk under their bridge week in, week out. It's becoming tiresome. Nah I'm alright thanks.

Does anyone think Dean wants to be in this position? He needed someone he thought would be a safe pair of hands while he was ill, and to be fair Phil made a decent fist of it before his businesses collapsed. The model was to make the club self sustaining with player sales so we didn't need a money bags pumping millions into it every year. If Phil's businesses has stayed buoyant and player recruitment and sale had been better we could have continued on that path. Hindsight is 20/20. Lots of mistakes have been made and I'm sure if Dean could do it again he would do it differently, including not getting a life threatening illness. In fact knowing what he knows now he probably wouldn't have touched it with a barge pole. Or he might simply not have sanctioned ridiculous budgets in the Premier league that we could never afford.

That hypothetical world is great though, isn't it? It's more the expectation that people who buy football clubs can see the future, because when they start that journey it is all hypothetical.

Woahhhh hold the fuck on here. You previously posted a few days this… I’ve highlighted some bits in bold that you may want to cast your mind back to. Make your mind up, what is it? Not seen backpeddling on this scale since Nayim leathered one at Dave Seaman from 60 yards... Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim....

Question is would you have trusted those in charge not to make of mess of it in the Premier League. Dean certainly hasn't learnt any lessons from his previous mistakes to suggest so.

Phil Hodgkinson, a lot of Town fans saw through the fella right at the start.
One of the biggest charlatans and bullshit merchants to ever be associated with Huddersfield Town.
I hope he never sets foot in the ground again.

He should never have even been given the chance to own the club. A shameful episode, all round.

As said before, the way this club has been run in last few years is unbelievable. From been told club was in a healthy place financially to be on the verve of administration is crazy No fire sale, Bromby said. Contracts have relegation clauses etc etc.
