It would be typical town to go into administration and suffer the associated points deduction, then accumulate enough points to have stayed up without the administration points deduction. Either that or three other relegation threatened clubs do the same!

Phil Hodgkinson, a lot of Town fans saw through the fella right at the start. One of the biggest charlatans and bullshit merchants to ever be associated with Huddersfield Town. I hope he never sets foot in the ground again. Love it when some on here insist that those of us who saw through him are only saying it with the benefit of hindsight. He should never have even been given the chance to own the club. A shameful episode, all round. I was taken in by him at his cinema Q&A, I'm ashamed to admit.

Not seen backpeddling on this scale since Nayim leathered one at Dave Seaman from 60 yards... Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim.... Absolute classic.

If either of them never set foot in the stadium ever again then that suites me fine, for me neither are welcome back at Town sorry. Both have absolutely well and truly fucked up.

Does anyone think Dean wants to be in this position? He needed someone he thought would be a safe pair of hands while he was ill, and to be fair Phil made a decent fist of it before his businesses collapsed. The model was to make the club self sustaining with player sales so we didn't need a money bags pumping millions into it every year. If Phil's businesses has stayed buoyant and player recruitment and sale had been better we could have continued on that path. Hindsight is 20/20. Lots of mistakes have been made and I'm sure if Dean could do it again he would do it differently, including not getting a life threatening illness. In fact knowing what he knows now he probably wouldn't have touched it with a barge pole. Or he might simply not have sanctioned ridiculous budgets in the Premier league that we could never afford. It wasn't so much the budgets we had. It was the complete and utter tripe we bought with it. As I recall we were nearly into July 2018, and hadn't signed anyone, so went into a blind panic and amassed that bagfull of shite that took us until last season to finally offload. There must be other clubs who fuck things up on a more regular basis than we do every generation or so - but right now can't think of any!

Phil has been made the scapegoat, Dean Hoyle has a lot to answer for to the demise of our club. He sought out PH to get the best deal for himself, someone who agreed to use the club’s money (parachute payments and player sales) to “buy” the club so DH could claw as much money back as he could. He gambled on getting to the Premier League last season and when it failed again took what he could, losing the manager and better players in the process. He’s gambled the club’s future through pure greed.

I said last week it wasn’t a possibility for DH to do this, however now we have no progress with PURE admins this is a real possibility it’s a big mess and it now might be the only option so that PURE admins are completely out of the picture, don’t forget DH only has 25% shares right now, at no point did I say DH was putting us in admin. Or he could just pay the previously agreed price. Whilst you're here, what's your take on why the original deal with Kirklees over the stadium didn't go through? 👀👀

I hope he never sets foot in the ground again. It will be very interesting to see if he has actually put any money into the club. Me thinks not Town's accounts for the year ending 30th June 2022 are due to filed by the 31st March, so this might tell us something.

Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim from the halfway line, Nayim.... Absolute classic. Baddiel & Skinner did a brilliant recreation of it on Fantasy Football with Nayim singing along to the Pet Shop Boys.

Baffles me how he's got away scot-free with what he's done.

It looks to me like it was the classic leveraged buy out, funded using future guaranteed income with minimal actual investment by the so called purchaser. A shit sandwich minus the bread.

To err is human, to forgive divine. Given how much time and money Dean has put into the club perhaps a little divine forgiveness is in order? It is, after all, just football.

Got visions of watching television next month, and Panarama comes on.
Headline, the wheeling and dealings at Huddersfield Town at what really went on, we have the full story, some viewers may find some content disturbing.
