The lie Phil told about the Man City game, though appearing relatively meaningless in the grand scheme of things, revealed the kind of person we were dealing with.
Unlucky or not with what's happened to his businesses, he was never the person Dean should have been selling the club to.
I'm not sure who I blame more but it has to edge towards Dean as Phil would never had become involved if Dean didn't put the proposal to him for taking control of the club.

Whatever happens, we can expect the Heavy Woollen Mafia to circle the Hoyle wagons soon enough.
Already a few are crawling out of the woodwork, by the looks of it.

It’s never boring being a Town fan is it.
I just want a club I can say I’m a proud fan of again. We appear to be going down in a tonne of flames, headlong into the financial abyss.
I really couldn’t blame any potential buyers for looking at things currently and thinking ‘no chance’. That’s what worries me, that the ongoing wrangling is cutting off a lifeline of us being sold to start again.
And to think it’s two decades since we were in administration. We never expected this to happen again. When will we and other football clubs, learn. 😞

The way the HTAFC Women's team official Twitter account is retweeting every negative comment aimed at the club from their own players - "bare minimum" "happy to wheel us out for PR" "token gestures not good enough anymore" "they will not be silent anymore htafc is incredibly telling of what an utter shit tip we are. Good on them.

Sadly it sums up the state of the entire club.
The foundation are, and have been an absolute shit tip for the last year behind the scenes. (Not the people working on the ground).

If either of them never set foot in the stadium ever again then that suites me fine, for me neither are welcome back at Town sorry. Both have absolutely well and truly fucked up. To err is human, to forgive divine. Given how much time and money Dean has put into the club perhaps a little divine forgiveness is in order? It is, after all, just football. To just dump us back into League One where he picked up the club has been a total utter waste of his own time and money. Sorry, no forgiveness here over this. He had it all at Town the adulation of the fans but he blew it, absolutely sky high.

It might concentrate a few minds if footballing debts (i.e. player wages) were at the bottom of the list to be settled, below local suppliers etc

I think the women’s Twitter thing is linked to International Women’s Day, just getting a few grumbles out there on the back of it.
I’ve posted before that I occasionally walk the dog up at Storthes Hall park and you have to admire their commitment, often at their own cost. I doubt they’re asking for anything close to the same molly coddling the blokes get.
Professional footballers must be some of the most pandered to sportsmen on the planet.

What a sad state of affairs this is, if we go into admin, it can't be good and it's a crazy thing to do putting hard working staff's job's on the line.

The game is heading downhill very fast, like you say the players egos are massive, a lot needs doing to bring the the modern game enjoyable again.

It would be very town to go into administration as a calculated risk to push through a deal and end up being liquidated.
Seriously though whilst I'd never want to see good people lose their jobs it does feel like the club needs rubbing out and starting again in many areas.
I'll go to Emley or Everton to watch them regardless.

It will be very interesting to see if he has actually put any money into the club. Me thinks not Town's accounts for the year ending 30th June 2022 are due to filed by the 31st March, so this might tell us something. It will be interesting to see whether the club have raised money secured against phased payments from the sales of Toffolo, O’Brien etc so as to enable Dean to maximise his loan repayments, if admin is now being contemplated

Tried to tip you all off on the 29th of Jan as to what could happen, but my post seemed to slither under the radar. Anyway, what a mess. Dean had is troozers pulled down by Phil I reckon. You like to think so and that Dean was hoodwinked but it seems more like Dean did the deal more so that he could get his hands on player sales profits and parachute payments ,sure Phil was going to bail after Dean had had his loans repaid and probably make a little profit ,covid and his businesses going bust really put a spanner in the works .

Can someone explain what the plan would be with this?
Is Dean able to take the club out of administration having been a shareholder when it dropped in to it?

Can someone explain what the plan would be with this? Is Dean able to take the club out of administration having been a shareholder when it dropped in to it? Yes, if his offer to the administrators is the best they can secure for creditors, and as DH is likely to be the largest creditor it’s more than likely that this would be the case.

And the Pure administrators would get nothing? If DH offered creditors say 10p in the pound, and that was accepted by the administrators then the Pure Administrators would get 10% of their acknowledged debt.

And the Pure administrators would get nothing? They might get something as part of the administration process, but DH could ultimately regain control of the club, or, he may have somebody interested in picking it up out of admin.

And what about all the other creditors? We're going to fleece them just so Dean doesnt have to pay the Pure administrators what they think they're owed?

Is what the creditors think they are owed, what Phil has put into the club.
