If money were his main motivation he would just have put us in administration and clawed back a few million. Is there any potential for him to get some future tax relief from writing the loans off? On the other side of the equation, I suppose HTAFC will end up with a not insignificant tax bill when it eventually hits the P&L... DH will be unlikely to get any tax relief on a simple debt write-off if HTAFC is still trading. |

you wasn’t by yourself I said let’s wait till it’s announced what ever that was and then we could pass a opinion I think a lot on here will be feeling A bit silly but the bottom line is we have made a big step foreward utt there was a load of disinformation posted about what was going on, and people reacted to that (incl me).. .so maybe folk will stop posting rubbish and unfounded 'facts' in future ? As it is, i'm waiting for the details of this deal before making any comments now.. Behave, this is the internet  |

Just taking a step back from the pro-Hoyle anti-Hoyle stuff here - do we actually know yet if this is a good deal for the club, and for the fans?
Personally I'm delighted we've had a 100% clean break - that was always my main wish for this sale - but there is almost nothing other than the DA Capital storyline to suggest who this has gone to?

Yeah he was sound Captain, but only after my dad intervened. We weren't touching the car or anything, I just remember it being a really nice motor. Not something you would see in the Town car park Obviously you know the time period but it was when everyone used to go in the Rope Walk after games and I'm not joking, but we actually saw Kenny Irons driving past in a really scruffy looking Ford Fiesta. Talk about one extreme to the other, but then again, that was Kenny I suppose From what I heard, Irons was usually driven over here and back cos he was usually full of Guinness I saw him and Kevin Gallen enjoying a drink or two in The Cavalry Arms, back in the day. They were watching a match on the TV in the back room. You'll be shocked to hear that Kenny was getting nicely stuck into the Guinness, although Gallen looked to be on the orange juice, in true soft southerner fashion 😁 |

I think this thread will be needed ;-) So what happened htafc35 ? It dramatically changed. I am happy however North American involvement sounds exciting, hopefully we find out more in the comming days / weeks. Time to conectrate on staying in this league now with a much more positive feeling around the club, players, staff and fans after this and the last couple of results i hope the confidnce and belief returns just in time oh and hopefully we hear something about Reading. |

So was this Dean having one last laugh at the ITK posters by feeding them a load of bollocks? Or, the Dutch were set to takeover but something happened last minute which meant it wouldn't go through so 'Plan B' had to be put in place. |

Shame. American investors in English clubs (after all, Wrexham is Welsh) have generally not performed too well in respect of appreciating history, tradition, and the fans' emotional attachment to clubs. I would have preferred the Dutch business model.
The sooner we learn who this consortium is, and whether they aspire to address the concerns not only of me, but of many DATM readers, the better.

Think thats right. people are getting very excited ( understandably I think ) before they know anything about who these people are or what sort of ambitions they have for the club. That said, its probably telling the one person who probably will,, Hoyle,, has written off so much money so they get it. That has to be a positive sign. I probably favoured the dutch interest simply because I knew something about the people involved and what they'd been doing at AZ, which seems very impressive. but until we know the details of the North American people and what theyre about, its impossible to form an opinion really. |
