Yeah as I said they (Moores) were rejected by DH, and nobody knows yet who these other Americans are. I don't know why the EFL blocked the Dutch takeover, but they obviously didn't like what they saw, which doesn't exactly reflect well on DH. |

Don't new owners need to show access to funds to cover the next 2 or 3 seasons, so £15M to £20M in our case with current budgets? Maybe this was beyond the Dutch group? They seemed to have the football background, but a limited amount of cash.

Once again things are being speculated at and portrayed as factual happening on the back of rumour and gossip.
We really should learn our lessons and wait until we actually KNOW things before coming to conclusions over what happened and why.. the last few days should have taught everyone that!
Quite clearly people have been ( deliberately IMO ) fed bogus information, knowing they would put it out there.

Once again things are being speculated at and portrayed as factual happening on the back of rumour and gossip. We really should learn our lessons and wait until we actually KNOW things before coming to conclusions over what happened and why.. the last few days should have taught everyone that! Quite clearly people have been ( deliberately IMO ) fed bogus information, knowing they would put it out there. Captain the information wasn't Bogus it was correct when posted, and it did look like we were going Dutch until something that Maynard suggested higher up stopped this. I am quite sure that both me and Maynard would agree that when this thread started it was accuarate (without speaking for you Maynard sorry!) I would like to say this new deal is fantastic for the club and will be just what we need, unfortunatly I can't as i have zero information about the new deal other than what has been said by the club so far, its is however a fresh start and I for one am excited to hear the new ownerships plans in time once we have a full statement. We don't even know if they are US based or Canadian based or a bit of both perhaps. I still believe the largest issue was DH getting the shares back and nearly ended in the worst possible way thank god it didnt, the rest of this season now has some real intrest and it would not be town if we had a boring mid table finish would it! I think Dean might be able ot make some of the money back in a future book, there is so much that has happened in his time, you could probably place it in the fiction section as i am not sure anyone would believe it all actually happened ! |

I don't have any problem with trusted sources who want to forward information, though I do believe a bit more discretion wouldn't go amiss in some circumstances. I don't believe you are privy to any information that can't already be gleaned from social media out there. |

Genuinely excited to find out who these people are and what their ambitions and intentions are. You have to presume they want to make money by owning HTFC and its hard to see that ever happening unless the team is in the PL. Not being local lifelong fans like almost all our previous owners have been, its hard to see any other motive for them getting involved. Of course the owners of all championship clubs have no doubt got the same ambitions and they cant all achieve them. But still, exciting times. |

I would imagine that if you created a list of all these super wealthy owners that came in and bought a football club, there would be so many stories where an abundance of wealth hasn’t resulted in an upturn of a club’s status.
I would hope that all most of us want, is a club that’s run sensibly, still has the ambition needed to gain promotion, make the team successful, but that doesn’t over leverage the club in the process.
I’ve never understood why ownership of a football club in England (& probably some of the bigger leagues in Europe) is ever going to be a decent business proposition. For wealthy people there will be dozens of easier routes to get a better return, so I’m puzzled as to what drives some of these owners, other than some degree of narcissism and possibly access to a convenient laundromat…
