This time of year is horrible and despite the benefits physically a 12 day break will have its going to be mental torture for us fans as we sit back and watch it all unfold.
Cardiff are decent and despite being below us now I reckon they will be above us by the time we play them. 6 pts from their next 3
Reading have got Luton and Coventry who are both really good teams with plenty to play for. However with Wigan at home also you'd fancy them to get 3-4 points from them 3
QPR can't keep losing however GD is an extra point as well. Norwich at home, Burnley and Stoke away are all fixtures where they could catch their opponents on an off day so let's say they could get 4 points from them 3 as a pessimistic but realistic prediction
Assuming Rotherham beat Bristol away but lose to Cardiff and Boro
That would leave us 3rd bottom with 3 to play
Rotherham 48 Cardiff 48 QPR 47 Reading 46 .............. Town 44
Looking like we will need at least 4 points or 3 if we beat Reading.

If we do avoid the drop (which I think we will), I just hope it’s merited and not by GD, or we’ve been reliant on Reading losing that 6 points. The Hawkeye thing playing a part will be gut wrenching for us. People will argue that we should have won a point in the other 45 games, but for technology to relegate you, a season after the PGMOL debacle will be a tough one to stomach… Keen eye on the games tonight then… Fingers crossed for a zero or meagre points return for the 3 sides involved. I haven't seen it back, but in real time I thought it was a penalty to Sunderland last night and I thought the ref gave us a couple of soft free kicks on the edge of our box when we were a bit against it. It felt to me as thought we got that point back last night.  Never a pen, even the Sunderland commentators said it on the stream.

Reminds me of the first season in the prem, all wanting Swansea and Southampton to draw and losing our heads when Southampton won. The next day we got a point at Chelsea and we’re safe. Just gotta let it all play out

Tend to agree with this..despite getting whopped 4-1 Cardiff played quite well at Sheffield Utd....QPR are yet to show though and with Burnley then Stoke away after tonights visit of Norwich, desperately need points. With that in mind it might be better if Cardiff are already safe by the time they play us if they perform in their next 3 games . Reading are the dark horses who can regularly pick up draws..hopefully Luton and Coventry will have enough desire to beat them.. My darkest thoughts are we could be in the bottom 3 by tonight...and with another round of fixtures to be played before we play again...we could theoretically be relegated at Cardiff.
Theoretically Cardiff could send us down, but for that to happen we'd need both Reading and QPR to win all of their next 3 games and Cardiff to win at least 2 of their next 3. If we assume average odds of each of those 8 wins being at best 6/4, but in reality longer than that, you're looking at odds of at least 1,500/1. Let's hope the Cardiff fans really love Warnock and help with the atmosphere

Not even the most optomistic optomist can see QPR getting 4 points from those 3 games. They wont get 3 even, they will be lucky to get 1 - from Stoke.

Massive evening for our rivals. They'll all be expecting to pick up at least a point, so pressure is on. If they lose it's a huge bonus for us.

All Norwich, aren't we?
Come on Dave, do us a favour.
Easier to support Luton tonight now that Nathan Jones has been gone, too long.

I've got a theory - that's probably a load of nonsense - that:
- Burnley know they're champions, it's a matter of "when" and not "if" - they knew those last two games (Reading and Rotherham) were winnable, but felt it didn't matter in the scheme of things - and they were away from home - they knew that they could clinch the title at home to QPR - clinching the title at home is probably better for the fans, no? - so they coasted through these last two games, deliberately playing a bunch of reserves - ...so that they can seal it by thrashing QPR at Turf Moor - which they undoubtably will
All this assumes, of course, that Vincent Kompany doesn't really care about who gets relegated. I know, I know - that part is a bit of a stretch.

The worst thing about the run-in (IMHO) is that you start to care about events that in an ideal world you wouldn't give a sh*8te about.
For example Reading Vs Luton.
A game between teams that (sort of these days) represent nondescript Southern town's I couldn't really give a sh*8te about (don't wish them harm just irrelevant to me).
I'd like to keep it that way but if I hear about a Luton goal tonight I KNOW I'll be punching the sky.
I've become reconciled to the fact I care too much about Town for my own sanity ....
.......but when you add in worrying about f*****g Reading Vs Luton, I'm expecting a visit from the men in white coats.

Our next two games are Cardiff away then QPR at home After our blistering mini spell where we stuffed Blackburn Sunderland and Coventry and just about saved ourselves we’ve now reverted to previous form with three defeats and a draw and we’re playing awful football again Neil as already stated he’ll be giving some youngsters a run out in the last few games Hope we can do you a couple of favours but we’ll certainly have to improve to get anything 😡

That point away to Sunderland was vital - we would already be in relegation zone without it.

I had hoped that after last night and Norwich,Watford and Luton all having plenty to play for that we might have stretched a wee bit ahead... silly old me !
Unfortunately like ourselves QPR, Cardiff and Reading are equally fighting for their lives and are (quite rightly) not gonna give an inch if they can help it...
The next two Saturday’s are gonna be the exact same as tonight and we are very liable to be in 22nd place come 30th April v Cardiff City - I suppose we could probably let them go now being ahead on points and having a game in hand ( v Rotherham ? ) and hope they win that and pin The Millers back a little -
It’s still very much in our own hands but results and the fixtures are definitely going to conspire to ramp up the pressure to exploding levels in that eight day 3 match period but at least we’ll know what’s required...
We can only hope that Cardiff will be on the beech and surely Sheffield United too and who knows where Reading will be by the final day...
Ma late niece’s grandpa Alex (RIP) used to say to me quite rightly after moaning about ma hangovers - ‘You’re on your own’ !
After tonight regarding Huddersfield Town and our relegation / survival cage fight I’m afraid the one and only conclusion can be - WE’RE ON OUR OWN ! 😬

Reading are bottom of the away game league table
They have 12 points from their 21 games which will most likely be 12 from 22 when they lose at Coventry
On paper we couldn't have had an easier final game.

Worrying about what other teams are doing is pointless. Look after our own destiny by taking 4 points from the last three games. That won’t be easy (only 2 out of the last 9) - but that’s what we need to do.
6 games ago we would have bitten somebody’s hand if for this situation.
