I don't think two yellow cards should be an automatic red. I'd also like to see more emphasis on "winning" as opposed to the tedious football of "not losing" that has become the modern game, encouraged by dishing out 4 points for a win. Exactly the opposite. Bring back goal average. Defending is as important to a football game as attacking, and I'd enjoy todays numpties not being able to divide on number by another, even with a calculator. I part agree, I like three points for a win not two, just find goal difference irrelevant, and goals scored even worse. Why not if it's so important use goals conceded, the leats of course. ( Because it doesn't make any sense for either. It should combine both.)

The name Football should be changed to Soccerball. This would prevent confusion with other sports such as American Football and Rugby Football. This would also be helpful to our new owners who possibly thought they were buying an NFL or Rugby team. YUK! Only the Americans think something where you hardly kick a ball is called football. I simply don't understand any of their major games, and neither does most of the world. No relegation, hours of play due to money and adverts. When they can understand cricket, I'll give them a break.

Almost every change made since they went from goal average (which was ridiculous though helped us win our first title) to goal difference should be reversed. To name a few: Get rid of fucking squad numbers Get rid of 3 pts for a win - you should never have some league games worth less than others. Get rid of VAR Get rid of 5 subs - no more than 1 sub plus a goalie sub allowed Get rid of stupid divisional title - use 1st division, 2nd division etc I’ll think of a few more later Goal average was fine. Defending is a part of football. I like three points for a win, so I'm not anti change. The problem with it now is no one could work it out. As kids in the 60s we could do it in our heads almost, never mind a calculator.

All of the ball to be in the corner quadrant. Stop this overhanging the line nonsense.

The league cup to be limited to teams from the bottom three divisions and the prize on offer changed to automatic promotion from whatever league the winner is in.
Otherwise just scrap it.

VAR to be manned by retired referees not current ones who might have to face the same team the following week

- Bring back indirect free kicks.
- Handball has to be deliberate.
- Offside needs clear gap between the players.
- Offside called immediately, stupid to play on.
- Get rid of VAR in the English game. Elsewhere, reviews must be concluded in 10 seconds otherwise original decision stays.
- Only foreign refs in the PL to stop bias / corruption. British refs can work overseas.
- FA Cup winner gets automatic place in Europe.
- FA Cup final takes place at end of season once all games completed, how it used to be.
- Get rid of the League Cup.

The toffs brought in the term over a century ago to differentiate it from Rugby Football, which was shortened to Rugger. I remember in the 60s and 70s grabbing the ball and going to the rec to play “soccer” wi me mates; that’s what we called it in Sally Nook. These days everyone thinks it’s only an American word.

Sin bins. Red cards generally spoil a game, particularly if early on, and yellows don't make much difference to the match they are issued in. I'm with you. Introduce an 'orange card' - 10 minut sin bin- for any deliberate foul play - like pulling someone back when they've gone past you - or any cynical trip/foul. I hate the phrases - that was a good foul to give away - worth a yellow - it's just cheating.

Also - 10 seconds for a player to get off when subbed - if he's not off then the game restarts and the sub can't come on till the next break in play.

Since most throw ins are foul throws, allow the ball to be thrown back into play one handed, like a ball being thrown from the boundary edge in cricket.
Would create a lot more space on the field as the ball could easily be launched from one side to the other.

if a player is fouled and needs the trainer, he then has to leave the field of play. If he has been awarded a free kick then the player who fouled him also has to go off, so that his team does not have a numerical advanatge from a foul.

Yup, and “docker soccer”, where you could kick shit out of whoever had the ball. (it encouraged a fast passing game…or…passing to people who weren’t liked 🤷♂️)

Defenders allowed to foul/obstruct as much as they like when ushering the ball out for a goal kick. VAR is clearly the biggest disgrace in years.

Handball has to be deliberate. - . Absolutely this. That rule change ruined "The Referee's Alphabet" by Half Man Half Biscuit, and should be changed back solely for that reason.

Defenders allowed to foul/obstruct as much as they like when ushering the ball out for a goal kick.VAR is clearly the biggest disgrace in years. Disagree with this one. If the defender isn't actively playing the ball as it runs out but actively preventing the attacker from getting to it then, in my view, they are 'impeding the progress of the attacker'. Under the Laws of the Game (Law 12) this should be an indirect free kick. I think this would help create more goal chances either through more free kicks in and around the box or alternatively defenders having to play the ball whilst under pressure.

if a player is fouled and needs the trainer, he then has to leave the field of play. If he has been awarded a free kick then the player who fouled him also has to go off, so that his team does not have a numerical advanatge from a foul. Some recent examples of players rolling or crawling back on to the pitch before getting treated. That should be a yellow card for time wasting as they could be treated (if they really needed it) off the pitch and allow the game to proceed without interruption. Rugby, both codes, allows players to be treated as the game continues unless it would interfere with play. Assuming no foul had occurred then a version of this should help prevent time wasting due to feigned injuries as it would mean the team is a player down as play continues. From a safety perspective players who needed it could get treated quicker without the referee having to make a judgement call as to whether a player actually needed treatment and have to stop the game for it. .

Like rugby, if players don't move 10yards from the Free Kick move the free kick forward 10 yards.
