Can’t remember if this has been discussed before, but I’m starting to come round to the idea that not every foul in the penalty area should automatically result in a penalty. I’m in a minority of one whenever I discuss this with anyone. Any thoughts on this or other rule changes? Handball rule I don’t understand anymore, and think we need to get back to being clear daylight between defender and attacker for offside calls.

Leeds Utd to be relegated to the Gelpack Sunday League, and even then that their players must play in slippers and be smothered in Fiery Jack. Amen.

I don't think two yellow cards should be an automatic red.
I'd also like to see more emphasis on "winning" as opposed to the tedious football of "not losing" that has become the modern game, encouraged by dishing out 4 points for a win.

Ban knee-sliding after scoring a goal!

Early on over the top play acting..ie cheating should be a yellow card straight away.
On the other side of the coin one idea that has been a really good one is the foam that refs use at free kicks, the footballing authorities got that one right.

Goalies spend far too much time holding on to the ball.

A return of "Play On".
The game does not have to stop after any infringement!

Any player rolling over as if they have been shot has to leave the field of play for 5 minutes, injured or not. The time can be managed by the 4th official.

A return of "Play On". The game does not have to stop after any infringement! Agree. The very best Ref’s have always been the ones who are intelligent enough to keep the play flowing.

I’d like to see an end to timewasting through the following measures: 1. Make it compulsory for there to be a multiball system at matches. 2. A time limit (10 seconds to take a throw in) and 20 seconds for a goal kick or free kick. Failure to take in the limit means that the free kick or throw goes to the opposition.

Sin bins.
Red cards generally spoil a game, particularly if early on, and yellows don't make much difference to the match they are issued in.

Think my wife's interpretation of why we got 3 points on Thursday could actually make football more interesting. She thought it was 1 point for scoring a goal, 1 point for winning the game and 1 point because we scored the last goal.
If you actually gave out more points for more goals and especially a point for last goal scored it would hopefully make more entertaining games.

Or maybe 3 points for a win by 1 or 2 goals, 4 points for a win by 3 or 4 goals, and 5 points for a win by 5 or more goals?

Repeating others: No VAR. 3 subs allowed. 16 man match day squad. Linesman to make an instant decision, not 20 seconds later. £20 away ticket, every game, every ground.
