Bonkers that one win clouds so many into thinking that all is suddenly well. Granted, a terrific win, but let's not pretend that the club haven't clearly been desperately trying, and failing, to recruit over the last fortnight. Thus, a failure at the top level. Regardless, a fantastic win, and let's hope this squad can significantly overachieve for another season before we can genuinely start to rebuild. Is that the same bonkers as warnock will walk out after the window weve had?! |

I don't think anyone is really thinking all is well, it's more relief that Warnock can actually get a tune out of this squad it seems. Some hope has been restored, think we all know next season will have to see major investment if we intend to become a serious football club. |

I know it is unlikely that we will now look to the dregs of the free agent market, but there really are slim pickings. I've attached the names at the top of the Transfermarkt.com free agents list filtered by centre forwards. On that list itself there's really only Sebastian Andersson who is within our budget and an improvement on/different to what we already have. Edit: you might have to click on the image to enlarge it. There were a few goals in the championship yesterday which we simply wouldn't have scored as our centre forward doesn't move or react quick enough The speed with which Hardie for Plymouth reacted to the rebound off the keeper to poke the ball in for their second looked really simple but that just gets cleared by the defence against us |

no thanks; high wages, past his prime and wouldn't be surprised if his main focus isn't football. I think he's married to the girl from little mix and just had a kid. Maybe looking at one last payday.
Why can't we look for the next andre gray, Adebayo, Morris etc...
Strikers typically give the best returns if we invest a little

Won't be going in League 1 Not to every game, maybe 2 or 3. I'm not watching that level again it is utterly miserable. We go down it'll be five seasons minimum. And we gave L***s fans shit for being fair-weather supporters  |

15-20 goal championship strikers (that everyone is asking for) cost £15-£20 million now but Gray has been both of these in the past (allowing for inflation) and whilst clearly in decline he would be relatively low risk.
whilst you think a London club would be on his radar he has spent his last year in Greece so it’s a little bit closer.
