Awful video, really nice kit though, I hope they use it more than the green thing. Not sure I agree. The video is an acquired taste for sure. I am not saying I like the video either though. But, it's definitely from the local youth, it "showcases" the diversity, the community etc. You can tell by the lyrics but the message is cool, it was probably a project for them, and that was their winning results and selected lads. That will be a huge accomplishment in their young life so far. I actually like us trying to target the youth, we're just a bunch of old grumpy farts, and be honest the kit well its nice. The above isn't an attack on your comment TR, but seeing a lot of us moaning about the choice of song and video too. Side note: on some previous comments. If any have the patience to read this far. I'll get my tin ready for this one. We as a fan base complain we don't invest money into the squad, the stadium, the match day experience etc. But, we find any way possible to complain when the club tries to find another revenue avenue. We're the moaning terriers. We're always skint as a club, because we continuously run at a loss. Expect our owners to pump in millions with no return (bad business acquisition is that). We as a fan base often always looking for the cheapest price ticket, the 2 kits only, cheapest everything etc. Which we have every right to. Sport has been changing, the cost of it, the commercialization of it. We have to keep up. We're not the biggest club nor do we have the biggest fan base. So we don't have millions of sales on shirts, hundreds of thousand ticket sales and other mass revenue streams. For example this is on a bigger scale and much different to us but hear me out. But, living in Boca Raton right next to Miami (where I previously lived) I was fortunate to be 1 of the very first season ticket holders for Inter Miami. (it was close, it was football and there was a buzz). When I moved to California and Texas I decided to not renew my ST. Fast forward to today Messi signs for Inter Miami, and tickets have literally gone from an average of $29 to $489. Not including shirt sales. That were previously $80 they were selling Messi shirts for $200. They cleaned up!! Every man, woman, their kids, their dogs and even their Tinder dates were buying up. But, that investment has paid them back Millions! Allowing them to go and get Busquets, Jordi Alba, soon to be Luis Suarez and Sergio Ramos (yes they're older and out of their prime), but that's the power of investing too from the fans/spectators/clientele side not to mention the commercial benefits. So, we have to have a big margin to at least try to compete. Yes, money, bills, life costs are forever increasing. Nobody is holding a knife to our throats demanding we pay up, or we buy. But for those that are blessed, in a position to do so, and they chose to, power to them. They're hopefully helping finance the club as we try to continue to grow and build. UTT

For every person who can’t ( understandably) or won’t buy the merchandise, there are people like Westie who decide to spend on the Town products. I can also understand why the club are aiming at the younger market. Middle Age usually means that we become a bit cynical and careful what we spend our cash on. I’m in between the two. I won’t buy anything Town related unless it appears to be a bit special. Both the home and third kits are in my opinion.

For Norn Iron Terrier Who was asking about The Goalkeepers Kit it did say on the club website written by Hannah Croft on 18th July that there was limited stock on them so with me being 3XL and these ones going the fastest normally I got in there right away as I like it and I’m currently awaiting delivery of it and other gear also... It looks as if it’s still there on all sizes but if anyone wants it maybe it’s best to be in there and not be caught by The old “If you’re no fast your last” and “If you snooze then you’ll lose” mantra 😬 If it’s any help The club shop number is : 01484 - 960999 - and the staff are very helpful and fantastic to deal with ! 😊 👍

Cheers everyone who replied on the keepers kit. I must have just missed it as I've been checking regularly online and it's always been blank. Looking for the full junior kit so hopefully they'll have some shorts and socks listed soon. Will see how all the kits look in the clubshop as I'm across this weekend. UTT

I'm still no clearer why we actually need one. Just because other clubs do it doesn't mean we have to. I like the concept of sticking with the same kit for a couple of years, after all the quality is so poor that people will probably need to replace their shirt each year anyway. Agree completely about not NEEDING a third strip. Especially the years that the away kit is massively different from the B&W with no danger of clashing. I wonder when teams first started selling the 3rd kit and who was the first to do so. I'd put money on it being Manure or the dippers that started it. Just checked and it was Man U, 1948 fa cup final. We started using them in 92/93 I personally don't see a problem with it. As you said earlier, people are not forced to buy them. People seem to moan because we don't have any money and moan again when we try increase our revenues

Mosher, I obviously didn't make myself clear (I personally don't like the song) but the song wasn't selected by the club,as implied by the 'complaintants', but was part of a tie-up between North Huddersfield Trust school and the Town Foundation and a project they were doing jointly.
I put the link up because it was obvious that the 'complaintants' hadn't read the story behind the song.

It's Town mate, if some of our fans didn't have something to moan about regarding our club they'd probably implode or something

Noticed from the ATT minutes that Nagle was asked if there would be an option for shirts to be available without the corporate sponsor on them. He said he'd raise with the commercial team (or something like that). Can't say I expect any change though as no doubt the sponsor is factoring in replica sales in the price they pay to sponsor and not just the visibility of the team on match days.
I've got a number of shirts with a variety of different sponsors but following the plain 'Paddypower shirt' which I bought as I did the the one from the following season also sold blank (when there were a number of different local sponsors) I've not felt the urge to buy any of the more recent ones and act as a walking billboard. Don't use Utilita and have no knowledge of any issues of them as a corporate entity but am now of the mindset that the club badge (whatever you might think of it) is all that I want to display - the manufacturer's logo is an unavoidable extra but much more discrete.
I appreciate that the sponsor on the 3rd kit is a charity but I don't personally like the squiggly heart symbol and whilst I would probably have bought one if the shirt was plain, won't do with it on. Instead I'm looking to get one of the training polos as these don't appear to come with the eye doctor sponsor which features on the shirts the players wear.

The music on the shirt unveiling video is awful! Suppose its targeted for younger ears than mine, bloody crap all the same, don't get why younger ones want to sound like theyre London Gangsters but there we go. I do like the kit though! wannabe London gangsters rapping about loving their mum and wanting to get their GCSEs. Hard hitting music from the mean streets isn't it. In fact it's already made me commit a knife crime since I first listened to it Im on about the accent not the content of his 'rhymes'.

Does anybody know anyone who can remove the sponsor from the shirt for a price?

I think they were personalised hawaiian shirts - you can order them from a number of websites by just sending a picture of the face you want adding to the basic palm tree relief.

I am a bit past middle age, so the nearest I get is to wear a rugby style shirt, but not one belonging to a rugby club. I suppose each to their own, they are entitled to it, but I think that it does them no favours. Their again what do I know everyone seems to want to dumb it down these days, I may just well be behind the happening curve and happy to stay there.
