If I can just say...the sign of a good manager is you play according to the ability you have in the squad...not tryimg to introduce some fancy dan FA Badge playing pattern that might get kudos with fellow FA badges, but is far beyond the capabilities of the players. For me we've seen too much of this 'purist' football...and this is where Warnock makes his living by stepping after the purists failure to keep in contact with reality..

What's it taste like? Never had it! Horrible! Never took to it when I lived in the States. As Crux said, “medicinal”. Each to their own. Told you I was weird 🤣🤣

Excellent post and I think this applies to a lot of clubs/managers. I watch Boston United a lot (unfortunately) and you can see them (and others in the same league) try to play tippy tappy football that they aren’t either capable or fit enough to play. Some of the defensive howlers I’ve seen this season make Town’s defence look pretty solid.

What's it taste like? Never had it! It's quite medicinal 🤣. It's a bit like the mouthwash you get at the dentist, but fizzy 😋 Tastes like Dr Pepper to me, medicinal but in a tasty way.

Some of the defensive howlers I’ve seen this season make Town’s defence look pretty solid. thanks..I wonder who the main beneficiary is of this...is it the coach and his fellow support coaches ticking off a list of achievements on their CV's to advance their future status within the higher etchelons of the pyramid...is it also the players who want to be taught this way so they too can maybe advance by being 'skilled' in these methods of playing.. broadening their appeal to a wider range of clubs... If this is going on you have to ask who is managing it because ultimately how you play is less relevant to how many points you have...the aim, for owners at least is to advance up the leagues and make more money.
it kind of raises questions about what actually is the priority here..

I've NO IDEA what that was, but it was a definite exotic treat when the pop man had some left when he got to our street...and would take the place of the Cream Soda that my little sister would otherwise demand!

Its surely about balance....play when you can but surely defenders are there to stop others scoring.....not gift them soft goals trying to do things they cant. Man city do it because their back line cost 250m or so and their lads zip it to and fro with high skill and energy. Ours cost 1m ish..... hence helik, pearson, lees, yura, pearson cant do it the same. Money doesnt assure you of everything but my bug bugbear with english football is we try and copy others ad infinitum. Take the best of others but add your own stamp........like brighton do.

Started off okay but makes himself/herself look a twat in the last line, why not stay calm like he/she started off? I'm glad I'm not on Twatter because I'd probably end up spending most of the time arguing

People would rather say nothing in the ground (where they can be heard) but post it all over Twitter for some attention. Pathetic.

Shameful talking to KN like that after he’s been here for such a short period. Makes me embarrassed to be a Town fan.

Screaming out 'Nagle is a daft c***' in the ground whilst Kevin is in California, or sending it him on twitter? The lads clearly a weird attention seeking twat either way.

People are just weird.
I’ve not been too impressed by KN but I’d say that affects 10% of my overall view of him. I’m 90% for him, 10% reticent of how he’s doing things. If I were to ever tweet him the 90% would take precedence in how I presented myself to make sure I was measured, considered and respectful.
Pricks going off half-cocked show themselves to be utterly unhinged. As a club, we’re far better off without this vocal, tiny minority.

That's Twitter for you unfortunately, some people just can't help themselves. I do often think that in a sane world the likes of Dom would never get the opportunity to communicate directly with the owner of the club.

If fans keep poking KN with a stick eventually he'll just think...do I need this ? I think he's completely underestimated just how serious football fans take the game in this country. Football is not all bouncy castles and ice creams like it is in his country.

I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.”

And before anyone starts, I don't expect Nagle to understand the difference because he has no experience of the game in this country.

If fans keep poking KN with a stick eventually he'll just think...do I need this ? This is the worry, got fans outright abusing and hounding him everytime we lose a game. The same fans asking him to spend a fortune on the squad. Absolute freaks that need to take a step back before jumping on Twitter.

The only difference now is that people say it to the chairman on Twitter rather than at a game, in the local newspaper or on the radio. The abuse Nagle gets is exactly the same as what his predecessors have got, let's not pretend it's a new thing. If we start picking up, the abuse will stop, as it always does.

But he's always going to get it when the team aren't doing well, just as every single chairman in our history has got it. The abuse has just transferred to social media now, whereas in years gone by it was directed to their faces, and also in local newspapers and local radio etc. Nothing has changed apart from how supporters vent their spleens, in the old days it was done in person, nowadays it's done behind a screen. Look at the clipping below, 33 years ago and Town fans were protesting after we'd lost a match. As The Specials sang in 1980, "nothing ever change"...

Football is not all bouncy castles and ice creams like it is in his country. he'll be splitting his time between the 2 clubs albeit he'll be expecting the management teams he has in place to deliver what he's asked...maybe he'll get more frustrated with them first before giving up altogether.. at his age he doesn't need to prove anything but i'm pretty sure his kids reading those tweets will be having a word with their Dad...that's where the risk is for us at Town. KN needs to get off twitter, it is X -rated after all......

More protesting from April 1990 as Town sat 9th in the table. And then in September 1992 after our worst ever start to a season: All this moaning and groaning really isn't anything new.
