How opinions vary…. I’ve seen all three league matches and it still feels to me as if we will be 14th /15th area of the league. I most certainly hope we are

Imagine the difference if their number 9 played for us. Quick, runs in behind, good footballer. Probably doing some/many a disservice but when was the last time we had a player like that?? Stewart l?!

Mixed feelings about the game. Both sides were poor in final third. Thought we as always look good from set pieces. Boro created more in open play. Both sides were poor in final third.
Positives Team looks to be clicking and well drilled Defensively we are better and less open Rudoni looks to have more purpose Thomas crosses seem to be back on point We look solid New winger looks tidy and very quick ( Jones and new lad would be exciting)
Negatives Without Hogg we look rudderless on the field and in his final year.
The lack of rotation and NW seems to have his trusted 11 which up top are poor and we need to try something else
80 min+ subs far too late and this seems to be a weakness in Warnocks in game management (even though he’s 1600 games and knows everything about football)
Ward isn’t a starter, bench option

Town fans, quite rightly, love a team that gives their all, we've got that. With a bit more quality, we would be safe in this division but we will continue to struggle if we can't find an answer to attacking players not scoring goals, keeping better possession. & moving the ball upfield.
With the reliance on set pieces for goals, it's no surprise, after 3 games that our joint top scorers are a CB & OG. What is a surprise is the reluctance Neil has in not bringing on Hudlin, who in pre-season, looked the best equipped forward in the squad to hold the ball up & bring others in. All I can think is that he is waiting to be sent out on loan.
Big positives for me today, this was another entertaining game, Nichols & Hogg being their best selves, Thomas firing in decent crosses again & Del Boy looking like there is a player in there, albeit I suspect he'll split opinion, & have the same end product, as VLP.

Said on page 1 I'd take an away point and we got one courtesy of an OG. Still time to make a signing or two before window shuts, a long season ahead still with turns along the way.

i thought we were slightly fortunate to get a point at the end but that doesn’t change that we were very very good for 20 minutes in the second half and i thought Boro were a good team.
Very risky tactics letting them run at our centre halves one on one but it’s good to watch.

Don't forget that Middlesborough spent something like 5 million on that striker of theirs. He was class don't get me wrong but we matched them throughout bar a couple of break aways. If only we could dig deep for a decent CM and a striker we would be pushing the door for the play offs this season I genuinely believe that.

Decent performance to be honest, think a few town fans are overreacting about how we played, but each to their own. However, Ward is shite, provides absolutely nothing to the team He's not shite is he? That goal v Sheff Utd for example.

Good point.. Not seen any of it.. Can someone who attended answer some important questions.. (No bedwetters or happy clappers please just normal supporters) Where did the zorg play?? Came on for diarra who wasn’t as influential as he was against Leicester. Played on the left and koroma went more central 1st impression?? Decent away point but for some good Nichols’ saves and boro’s spurned chances Did we deserve a point?? Yes but I may be slightly biased Is Middlesbrough a shithole.. Not unlike Huddersfield. Lovely surrounding area Did you wanna go home.. No, I’m still here. Lovely fish and chips on the beach at saltburn on sea Thanks in advance.. 🍻🍻🍻 UTT, we’ll be ok this season

Maybe not good enough, not clever enough but I don’t question his effort. Unfortunately it’s the most difficult position to fill and unless we get lucky with one of the kids it doesn’t seem like we’re going to be able to buy the player we need

Danny Ward offers absolutely nothing. Zero, squat. Absolutely nothing that any striker in league 1 can do.
I've thought he was overrated for a long time now. With Koroma and Thomas putting balls in like they have been doing its criminal how little threat he poses.

I thought we’d see Hudlin come on given his contract extension and was a bit bemused as to why we didn’t see Jones come on after his impressive cameo last week but I guess zorg got the nod ahead of him. Hogg was immense in his hometown and nice to see him come across to the town faithful at the end and greet his young family. He’s got an impressive torso as well for a thirty-something.

Much better compared to the Plymouth match, don’t think we’ve got the balance quite right. Like that we’re playing football and not just defending the box, but the higher line is giving the oppo too many chances. Need someone with pace that can cover the ball in behind. We seem to keep switching. Started with a high line then went very deep for last 25 of the first half. Second half went a bit higher again I’m not sure if that was intentional, but if it was, it worked

YOrkshire Post:
Nicholls: Made important first-half saves to thwart Hackney and Forss and a big one on restart to deny Latte Lath. No chance with equaliser. Outstanding. 8
Edwards: A bit of a mixed bag in truth. 6
Pearson: Went close to continuing his purple patch on the scoring front v Boro. Some great blocks. 8
Helik: The pace of Latte Lath troubled him at times. 6
Ruffles: Forss was an irritant at times in first half. 6
Hogg: The Boro lad did not let anyone down back home. 6
Rudoni: A great battle between him and Howson. Pushed further forward in second half and more involved. 7
Thomas: Expended plenty of energy and his attitude was excellent. Produced the breakthrough with a wicked inswinging corner and some of his deliveries caused big problems. 8
Diarra: Went as close as anyone in the first half. Quiet in second. 6
Koroma: In and out sort of day. 6
Ward: Had a good tussle with Boro’s backline. Nothing really dropped in the box. 6
Substitutes: Burgzorg (Diarra 75). Put himself about, booked. 6

I enjoyed the rapport between Thomas and Warnock after the match. Quite a cuddly love in. Might even take him fishing to his secret lake one day?

Decent point. Impressed by the new lad. Hogg man of March for me. But only if you don't count Nicholls, ey? Yes Nichols played well - but Hogg booked on 4 minutes still tried manfully to fill the glaring holes in the middle of our midfield. We are desperate for another central midfielder.

You can't live off a goal with a team promoted and firmly on the beach that game. If Utd needed to win that game they would have the same at Cardiff and so on. Ward is just not doing anything to contribute to the team I'd leave him out and shore up central mid-field, then play a lone striker but he needs to warm the bench from now on for me, and by the sounds of the comments on here the majority of Town fans feel the same but Colin picks him?
