How did he do overall? I only managed to watch the last 30 mins and he had gone off!?
Great he scored obviously but how was he otherwise?!

Has evident ability and that little bit of quality we have been lacking. Someone mentioned on the match thread that we wouldn't have any other player who would have taken that touch perfectly off the chest for the goal - I would agree. Do not want to put pressure on after only 1 start. But I genuinely believe he could get 10+ goals this season.

Good movement, close control, not afraid to use his pace, and didn't seem to misplace simple passes. He'll cause defenders problems this season if he continues like that. Him and Wiles made us look a whole lot more dynamic.

Looks a threat gets involved physically wins free kicks the right end of the pitch and has proved can score!

Rudoni shoal was well taken but comparing the two I’d edge zorg as he had pretty much the whole of both teams to shoot through on a tighter angle. Great audacity to shoot from their though 💪🏻🔥

Both used their chest granted, but the technique and execution for Bergzorgs was much more difficult. Rudoni also had a little bit more space and it was a general control of the chest. Bergzorgs came in and he had to create the space using his chest control by pushing it away from the defender, away from the goal. You know I would favour Rudoni if I could....

Looks like a proper footballer, can control the ball, has good awareness, can pass...run...and shoot..Needs a bit more time to tune in with his team mates though.

Clearly a technically talented player but I also think he will frustrate by trying to do too much. A couple of times yesterday he was in if he just took the ball forward with his first touch but instead looked to spin on the ball, have numerous touches and the chance was gone.
Certainly an upgrade on what we had so it is down to Warnock to get the most out of him

Looks really decent, good ability and understanding of the game, held on to possession well and got into some good positions. His left foot does is allergic to touching the ball

only 24 too. Looks better than what we had before. Tall, awkward, strong, fast and looks like he knows where the goal is. He got in a good position early on too when ward picked the wrong ball for the pull back

Cheers for that. So whilst we didn’t get all the lads we wanted in the window it sounds like at least quality if not quantity

Rudoni’s goal was brilliantly executed, more from the perspective he hit it ‘on the reverse’ if you see what I mean. I think the keeper and defence were expecting a shot to the other side of the goal with a left footed strike from there, but he bamboozled the lot of ‘em. Wasn’t his goal at Watford last season scored on the reverse as well? Only managed to see a few mins, so can’t comment on the new lad, but it certainly won’t have harmed his confidence having scored on his full debut.

My point being, Dan trying to be smart as per, when infact the goals weren't exactly the same. As shown in the images, Rudoni had all the time in the world, nobody within nearly 10 yards of him, you would expect him and any other professional footballer to control it comfortably and set themselves up. That doesn't mean to say it wasn't executed well. Still a lot to do with the finish and it was a great one. But with Burgzorgs control, there was a man right on him and the control had to be perfect and into the space. Much much harder to do.

It's really not that deep and not worth an argument pal. Of course they weren't exactly the same goals. But it's a bit much to say not one of our other players could have scored Burgzorgs goal! Burgzorg was helped by the fact Conor Townsend was running across him, so a simple chest down and he's wrong footed. Rudoni had the same player (Townsend) charging out towards him, so had to kill the ball with his control to enable him to get his shot away. Great composure and great strikes from both of them. However, I'd have been very disappointed if Nicholls had conceded either of them...
