He can be frustrating, but my opinion is every team needs a bit of a maverick, someone capable of the unexpected. I'm sure the coaches will be speaking to him about this, but it's a balance between his instinctive play and being part of the 'team'. Rudoni screaming blue murder when he stood alone on their penalty spot as DB runs in at tight angle and chooses to shoot...! which is easily blocked by their keeper. These little moments are where we should be scoring goals, so maverick or not he should get his head up and figure out what the best option is. I'm pretty sure he's been told this hundreds of times in his career so far..

He should still have tried it though.

All this creating of songs for players has always amused me. 99% are total rubbish and cringeworthy. But I am truly staggered by the fact that Town's choral faithful have never taken up the most obvious song ever, The Knack's 'My Sharona' for Josh Koroma. Couldn't be more simple and, other than the repetitive der-der-der-der-der" so beloved of football fans, the only lyric to the song would be his name! Unbelievable, Jeff.

Frustrating cause he makes the chances himself but fucks them up himself too. Ok as an impact sub but I would not be starting him again this season.

He reminds me of the boy in the playground that is 6" taller than anybody else that hogs the ball. When he has the ball he wants to dribble the ball into the net or shoots from 30 yards. A bit like Brian Glover in Kes. He has no concept of lifting his head and looking for a better positioned teammate. He frustrates the hell out of me and if he was offered on a free then I would say "not bloody likely, he will destroy team morale eventually"

We are all presuming he puts a perfect pass in a small gap between a keeper and 2 defenders to Healey?
Give him a break.
Looks easier than it actually was to make the pass across.
Let's just get behind him and the rest of the team and stop criticising for the sake of it.

But none of us criticised him the other week after his perfect left foot shot hit the net and he jumped into the crowd in celebration. He remains the one player we have who can produce a bit of magic.

After a couple of months I thought he’d be cheap for a million, now it’d be a rip off. Not a team player. Doesn’t even get away with it because we are so bad. A decent manager would realise he’s more of a hindrance than help

Weve sold obrien, toffolo, billing, camara, grant in the last 3 or 4 yrs for fees totalling more than 40m and replaced em with less than adequate replacements on frees and modest fees in the main. Whats left of value in the squad? Helik, spencer, rudoni and thomas apart very little at present. Such a disappointment after the heady days in the prem.

He did way more than Healey today…..
And Healey cost 2 million.
Also it was great play to actually create the chance to cross it.
He’s a bit of a maverick but every team Needs one of those.
I’d love to sign him permanently.

Let's just get behind him and the rest of the team and stop criticising for the sake of it. Please look at the incident again - it WAS bloody easy to make the pass. Instead of his second touch just before he took the shot he had the time and the space to play a simple pass to Healey, before the goalkeeper or any defender could stop him Just look at Healey's reaction Quite simple, a selfish idiot with no goal "awareness" whatsoever.

He absolutely should have tried to square it, but I think there's still a big chance it would have got cut out by the defender if he had. Poor decision making but not quite the nailed on goal plenty are claiming.
More worrying are his performances in general the last couple of months. He's gone from being our only attacking hope to looking like a clumsy pillock who doesn't have a care in the world.

The defender was pretty well positioned and the pass would have had to have been perfect. People seem very quick to get on his back and seem to not say so much when Healey or Rudoni run down blind alleys and lose the ball.

What's AB doing with them all week? They look totally clueless and devoid of confidence.

I’d love to sign him permanently. Permanently would all depend on the money. In a good side who didn’t need all 11 defending and where his bad moments can be afforded I’d take him for 500-750k. In the situation we’re in now he just ends up been a huge point of frustration. He drives me potty personally but I’d still be bringing him off the bench in any game from now to the end of the season where we need a goal. I’m terms of starting recently he’s not done enough to warrant putting up with him basically been a game plan wrecker.

Burgzorg is not a player who will ever be consistent in any regard. He will misplace easy passes more than most. He will be selfish in a way that frustrates and annoys. And then there will be the days when he seems almost brain dead by being caught offside time after time.
But he’s a wild card. He’s a player who you need in a squad. Yeah, he can be a liability. But he can also win a match in a moment of brilliance that nobody else in the squad can produce. That’s the kind of player he is.
The other thing he can do that others cannot is get us from box to box. Harnessed as a ball-carrier, he’s the one player who can really get us up the pitch.
He’s a player who will get either 3/10 or 9/10, with no in-between. And at the moment he’s closer to the former than the latter, but he still has a big part to play in this limited squad.

Why do Koroma, Ward etc decide they want it when Warnocks here but not when anyone else is? I wouldn’t look at AB, I’d look at the players.

Or we should find/have found someone who CAN motivate them. May as well have put me or you in charge for all the difference it would make.

I’d disagree on that, the likes of Koroma and Ward have had 7/8 managers at Town. There comes a point where you have to look at the players and say are you doing? We can’t keep making excuses for this lot.
