I just don't see how anybody can take anything AB says as serious.
He has been an abject failure and looked around for something to blame and we got a dig at Wornocks pre season, but no mention of DM much longer role. We also got a dig at the players. I can see that in any bunch of players there will be some that are more difficult than others, but to try and walk away pointing the finger after the results he gave us is a tall order. AB was worse than Buzz and DM he was just an out and out failure and should not be give any credence at all. I watched the players last season. He was absolutely correct that some players weren't interested. He was only confirming what I'd been watching with my own eyes. When did this perceived non interest start? After Warnock left. During DM's tenure. When AB arrived. The results got worse when DM arrived and then fell through the floor after AB turned up.

I would argue it started under Danny Schofield and continued through to Mark Fotheringham. It briefly stopped under Warnock, but not initially as we actually got worse under him to start with, and then started again under Moore and then Breitenreiter. This squad of players have played well for about six weeks in two years.

This squad of players have played well for about six weeks in two years. I am not sure that anyone thinks we have a good squad (maybe Warnock and Jepson apart). Since the previous relegation we have been selling off players and replacing them with lower quality replacements i.e. Ex Town has beens, old past it players young players from lower leagues with no one to help them develop in to the players we need. No thought of developing a squad or looking at what the first eleven needed in the way of strength, passing or speed, just faces to fill places. It is no accident that we are where we are, we need to realise how we got here and the what we need to do to change things. Videos and diary events are nice, positive tweets on X may be wonderful, but we need to be realistic and listen to people who deliver not abject failures.

If anyone took that at face value then more fool them. That's what he does, he builds them up, boosts their confidence. It's what he's done his entire career. Weird some town fans still don't get it despite having watched him at work twice. If you bothered to read my other comments you’d realise I’ve already given him credit for the mind games It’s just the ridiculous levels of exaggeration I laugh at My take is, he’s earned the right, and then some. If it were some rookie talking shyte it would be different!

Town fans being ostriches again, who would’ve thought it. Get your head out of the ground/your arses and realise these players are poisonous.

The bigger problem imo is the shit stirrer in the middle telling tales and blaming everyone but himself. How did AB hear about this terrible pre season that supposedly occurred, hhhmmm I wonder.

If it’s from the backroom team , then it’s pathetic. They gave warnock the job. But it might well have been the players. Let’s face it they were useless most of the season. But at the end of the day AB was out of order. Making excuses. Basically excluding himself from any of the blame.

Warnocks account of things, even if if it’s true or not.
From the criticism about preseason, the timing and the decisions in managerial appointments this season, The lack of professionalism by the players and ultimately relegation.
I think the finger-pointing at players and managers doesn’t really matter
There was a director of football that oversee all this and was the common point of management. Then there is the CEO who is Kevin’s eyes and ears.
Both of those senior individuals oversee this shit show and resulted in relegation. How Kevin can defend these two people and actually state they’ve done a good job/everything I’ve asked of them is baffling.
I appreciate a new phase of trying to put out some video diaries and point to the future and not even engage in the past season.

Certainly not AB a complete failure looking to point the figure elsewhere away from his results at Town. This pointing the finger at the players also helps Cartwright for his lack of ability. Are all our players saints? Certainly not. Not all players are poisonous, but when we keep picking up rubbish managers and then finally realising they are very poor and replace them with worse, the players are going to get antsy. If you kept getting rubbish managers to tell us what to do we would soon get the hump and tend to ignore them and just put in what you have to do. I have seen it happen more than once.

Did NW talk in any detail about who exactly those target transfers were in the Summer and the reasons why they decided not to sign for us? 👀👀

Neil Warnock has done exactly the same for us that Peter Jackson did. I don't see folk harping on about the Jacko years in the same vein though.

You assort blame to the manager and not to the players who have overseen sackings of countless managers? When a pattern emerges it’s better to analyse the root cause. That wasn’t AB, it’s the players.

When a pattern emerges it’s better to analyse the root cause. That wasn’t AB, it’s the players. We have had more than one manager and apart from Scofield on his first taste of management they have all done better than AB. So yes AB is an abject failure! The players are not the best we have spent several years selling off anybody we can get a few bob for and replace them with :- Ex-Town players Past it players Injury prone players Players bought in, but not for the positions we required Cheap lower league chancers After you look at it, you can see that it may not be the easiest of jobs, but to be the worst manager of the bunch apart from a complete newbie, AB can only be seen as an abject failure.

That's a reason why the relegation happened. Warnock's brand of voodoo papered over the cracks.

So in spite of DM being so poor we were out of the bottom 3 by a margin, but AB took us on a dive to next to bottom. That was way poorer than DM. If he had arrived any earlier we could have ended up right at the bottom.

It's easy to say we were 'X' points clear when Moore was sacked and ended up where we did. However for the vast majority of Moore's reign, various other teams were even more shit than us and were never even close to being on a run of good form. Those teams while Andre was here, did then find form, unlike us. Had those teams found form while Moore was here, we'd have been in the bottom 3 before he was sacked anyway.

But that was before Worthy's last game and after that when Breitenreiter started working with the players it was only 2 points so not as bad but still poor

We were still outside the zone, he started off fine and came across well, finally thought we had found a decent boss, but then started having personal spats with his players and his stubbornness kicked in. He blamed every man and his dog apart from himself, he may have an impressive CV and a poor squad, but he was far from impressive at HTFC unfortunately.

Moore was appalling, we'd very likely still be in League 1 if he had remained our manager. Fact is other teams down the bottom turned up and battled when it mattered, we were pathetic. It boils down to the higher level club management decisions, we miraculously survived last season by a Warnock miracle. Last summer we should have either kept Warnock and supported him, or carefully appointed a new long term successor (not Darren Moore). We did the most idiotic move ever which has been detailed plenty times so I won't repeat it.

I believe that it shows just how much AB lost the squad. Everyone else around us became motivated but he drove the team in to a slump. What made this worse was that he started pointing the finger at everyone but himself, I suppose it helped Cartwright keep his job for a bit longer.
