Darren Moore it is, then - hearty greetings, of course, but there won't be much time for a fanfare of brass bands to welcome the new Town manager. Anything but, in fact, it'll be a couple of sessions on the training pitch and then on Monday off to last season's losing Championship play-off finalists, who still look decent to me even if they haven't started quite as brightly as everybody was expecting.

Pretty tough start, of that there can be no doubt.

Bit of a score to settle here as well after the 4-0 thumping at home 6 months ago.

Cov on a bad run,town picked up form.Still a tough game.Would take a draw to keep the unbeaten run going and get Moore off to a good start.
Given he played 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 a lot at Wednesday and we have looked better in the 3-5-2 from West Brom onwards probably the.l best thing he could do is keep things very much the same.Working any of his own ideas in can come gradually.

When would have been a good time for him to take over? Unless we waited for the next international break. Why would they tell Warnock at WBA that his last game would be Stoke if it hadn't been decided there was someone to replace him? Why leave him in charge for anymore games?
Fall out or not Warnock was clearly trying to put out a squad that would win games, none of the new ownership team appear to be idiots and would realise that a caretaker manager wasn't the way to go, so if there was a fall out they would wait until they had someone and then shove Neil out the door overnight. This didn't happen. Warnock himself has said he thought he would be replaced at Christmas although Jepson thought they might be here until the summer. That would appear to a breakdown in communication between Warnock and Jepson. It is clear that Warnock knew that he would be replaced when someone suitable came along. Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?

DM has a better chance with the team in reasonable form but to improve that statistic, Cov away is not a great one to start with.

I suppose it is down to how far you want to see and look at what was said.

We can ignore Talksport and anyone else you want, pretend that they did not step in to save DM from answering questions. It may not be lies but there does appear to some form of twisting the tale. This may be down to covering dates up etc.

At the end of all this Warnock has left the building and DM is now going to do his best to be a success and Nagel needs to be more careful and open with us.
