So we need a midfielder who can pass. A creative midfielder who can get the the ball from a midfielder who can pass and can then create chances for our striker. A striker who can score chances created by the creative midfielder who can get the ball from a midfielder who can pass. Simple. Also, we need either 2 proper full backs, or if God forbid Moore still remains as manager and insists on playing 5-3-2/3-5-2. We need 2 bionic wing backs who can run up and down the wings defending and attacking on their own each and every game. So andy robertson at liverpool and maybe kyle walker from city ? |

Nixon saying Moore wants Rhodes back in Jan I guess on the plus side he could be ours from 1st Jan instead of waiting all month hoping that something else comes off. It would also be refreshing to have a player full of confidence. Additionally, DM knows him well and how to best use him (you'd hope). Does anyone know how he's been used at Blackpool? As part of a two? |

As part of a two? It looks like part of a 2. He couldn't play in the FA Cup game as I believe he played for Blackpool, but presumably could play against Leicester. If we were to get other strikers in before the end of January, he could go back to Blackpool before the end of the transfer window. |

Danny Armstrong from Kilmarnock looks a good option for the wing/attacking option, 3 goals and 7 assists, wouldn’t be too expensive but gives something different on the wing

Dane Scarlett has been recalled by Tottenham Hotspur from Ipswich Scored loads in the Spurs youth set-up but it's not really transferred into senior football as yet. Minutes wise he's played the equivalent of around 30 games and scored 6 goals, two of those coming in the EFL trophy. Pinning hopes on a young lad to help us climb the league is a big ask. |

Well, that’s exactly what happened vs Blackburn and we’re 3 goals and points better for it. Still, one swallow doesn’t make a summer… There was a subtle switch out of possession to more of a 5-4-1 until Blackburn sort of gave up, which allowed more help to the wing backs. I also think that Warnock was correct when picking Kasumu at wing back last season and Moore did it again on Tuesday. Wing Back is Kasumu's best position, or at least it is the best place to fit him into the 5-3-2/3-5-2 formation with our players. |
