It's possible that the Duff's throwing not just Bojan ("it’s like: ‘Oh, I’ve got to run again?’.") under the bus
but Cartwright too ("The club have obviously seen something in him to pay the money they did").
If I were Nagle that's the way I'd read it.

I'm willing him to do well, as are lots of others. He seems a likeable sort. He still looks pretty average but is improving. I doubt he'll get anywhere near double figures this season though, talk of 20 goals is absolute pie in the sky.

Think people are reading too much into Duffs comments about him not running and they are being taken out of context.
All he is saying is that with a two striker system both have to work the channels. As opposed to playing a 4-3-3 or something with two inside forwards supporting Bojan.

I want him to do well, but at the moment I can't see anything they he does well. He appears to be rubbish at all the skills a decent striker needs.
I honestly hope that this looks like a stupid comment after he's bagged 20 goals

Yes 2 wins in a row and let's have a continued pop at a player
Brilliant

Following the press conference, hopefully stability in his personal life and a return to full fitness will = goals.
Can't have been easy for him, sounds like alot of unrest. Yes he's on good money, but money means nothing when you're alone abroad (I've been there, but not on this large money).

There was potential for a move away, so he was unsure of his future and then there was his injuries etc so quite alot of disruption. The window closed, he's got proper accommodation and his girlfriend is permanently here now. He's also fit a d looking sharper every day in training. To paraphrase.

Time for this fella to produce imho. He's had a very easy ride from the fanbase imho - he's done little to justify his rumoured price tag ..... but it's clear he has some talent. Tine for duff to get him performing - if he does he will deliver at this level from what I've seen. He has talent as I've said - but the desire and application has to match it and consistently.

Eeh times are a changing. Huddersfield Town player admitting he finds Huddersfield boring and is enjoying life now in Leeds (22 minute mark), whilst getting paid very good money for doing next to fuck all. Wish the reporter would have delved more into that! I mean it's a bit of a tactless thing to say unless you're a bit of a self-important, arrogant sort of twat. imo. Don't like him.

Wow he comes across BAD !!
Why is he here?? He’s not a good footballer, the manager doesn’t rate him and he obviously would have left already if he hadn’t been such a weak crock.
We’ve recruited really poorly that January…there were really obvious signs about Healeys mentality too from how he became available to us and then his stupid attitude which for me was solidified after the final whistle in the final home game, and it’s zero surprise at his lack of availability this season.

Definitely a player there. I get the feeling that him getting a goal could kickstart his career with us.

Think its time we just get behind the lad.
It hasn't worked out so far, but the negativity and pressure put on by some also won't help.
People again picking up on little things in a presser and using it as a stick to beat a player with.
The guy has talent, up to Duff and Co to get it out of him.

Why does it matter where he lives or enjoys I'm a town fan have been since I was a kid but even I don't like Huddersfield town centre anymore nothing here. I prefer to go to Halifax or Bradford more attraction and better things to do. Main thing he found a home and wants to enjoy football again which can only benefit us

Why on earth they housed a young footballer, here on his own, in Huddersfield is anyone's guess. The town centre is a total shit hole, zero reasons to step foot in it.
Some beautiful surrounding areas and easy access to the big cities but in his situation with the amount of money, free time and lack of family he'll be much happier in Leeds I'm sure.
Not sure Huddersfield town centre will ever recover, gone for good I fear.
Interesting he has again said he's not really been injured until recently.
Really hope he can get on the score sheet on Saturday.

I don't see the big deal here. There are any number of teams based in unattractive places. As long as a player is living within reasonable travel distance, and they're happy, that's all that matters.

It's a dump unfortunately. I was shocked and saddened the last time I briefly popped in. At least the council is getting rid of car parks and building cycle tracks. That'll bring people in for sure 🤡

I came back up with the wife and kids and spent ten minutes walking round town center before deciding to drive over to Halifax. Center is awful, looks tired empty shops everywhere. As said above is it past saving? Maybe

I can maybe understand a player struggling with this over time, but cant really understand how it would stop a player hitting the ground running. If you get a decent move to English football, on good coin no doubt, just live and breath it. Sleep, eat, train for 6-12 months and you'll likely be in a totally different place, possibly on double the money. Im not saying footballers are robots but they are afforded more reasons for not doing their job than folk in most walks of life. Imagine a sales man who stays in shitty travellodges all week telling his boss his sales are down because he misses his mrs! Most folk would be delighted to get away from thier girlfriends for a few months. When i hear this about footballers I always think of students who manage to move to different places/countries for years with fuck all money, shitty digs, and often not enough money to see their family/SOs even if they wanted to, yet manage to take it in their stride better than footballers on thousands of pounds a week in air bnbs. Give me a few grand a week and a laptop i'll sleep in a broom cupboard for 6 months, inbetween training and playing football matches

As said above is it past saving? Maybe Having been brought up in Huddersfield and spending many years going out in the Town Centre in the evenings , it does sadden me to see what it has become in the last 10 years or so. I’m sorry to say, the only time I now visit my birthplace is to see the football, once a fortnight. It will be interesting to see the outcome of the redevelopment of the market area - the plans look promising but whether they can ever do enough to transform the place is up for debate.

Same I only ever really come back for football, but park on Leeds road and straight back home after. Never go into center. Used to love a night out in town. Many a good night in west ridings

Like Bojan, I moved abroad for work in my 20s by myself, and was living in short term rented accommodation in a fairly small provincial town for a month.
However much money you're making, it's bloody difficult to not have that stability of a home space, and not have anyone close by to share your difficulties with- I was in a long distance relationship when I first moved which broke down before long. Once I'd moved in somewhere I knew I could stay, things settled down for me. Hopefully the same will happen for Bojan.
If you've not had that experience, and are using it as a stick to beat him with, stop and think for a bit.

It’s times like that, that makes you realise how much you rely on your network of family and close friends.
