Can AB outthink the professor? I hope so! The Baggies will start favourites and being the underdogs suits us. so I am opting for a Town win. Maybe he can, but Carlos has a better squad to work with and their morale will be high now that they've put their financial worries behind them. I think AB will prove to be a better head coach than CC (and I rate Carlos!) but he can only work with what he has available.

We can't be as bad as we were Wednesday and hopefully we've got that bad performance out of the way we'll put in a good one and win this. Of course we can be as bad as we were on Wednesday. We've done it loads of times this season!

PC ay 1pm.....AB planning for 6 points in 6 days. He could do that in less than 6 minutes if he drives on that road between Grange Moor and Tandem without checking his speedometer.

Why is everyone putting Burgzorg in the team.....he should never play for Town again. because he is the most likley attacking player we have to create a chance or score (note I said attacking as we all know Helik is most likley to score), he is bar far and away our most creative player if fit he has to start. Del is a massive talent and someone we should be signing up as soon as we can do we have nobody else like this in the squad. He had a bad night last night, he even said so himself but I would say everyone else also had a bad night, he was not the worst player on the pitch. Kasumus first touch was that of a sunday league player last night, sorba kept running into people, ward missed a sitter and did little else, edwards actually looks slower than pearson, bojan on my god he is not looking like a championship footballer......... I am not sure how Burgzorg can be our most creative player by far when he rarely passes the ball. I get that he can create chances for himself on the occasions he gets past the defence, but he rarely creates for others. He just hogs the ball. He might be a talent, but he needs to develop far better awareness of those around him, and realise there is no "I" in "Team" before he starts to realise it.

As I've said on here oft times before, I'm in the minority who wouldn't sign him even at £1m. Not and never will be a team player; he's greedy and wasteful. Get shut.

Wakefield Road, why not call it what it is? I come in that way every time, speed cameras at top of Lepton and a few other places, but never particularly noticed or been fined. It's 50 to Lepton, then 30 then 40. How fast do you want to go?

I called it that because I couldn't remember what the road was called! As for how fast I want to go, I'm generally on there after spending a couple of hours on the motorway, and because there are a lot of cameras in quick succession, with a changing speed limit - and if you miss the sign or don't pay attention, it would be easy to get those points. FTR I've only ever once been caught speeding, and it wasn't there. Mostly, it was just intended as a light hearted facetious comment.

Its where greed isnt so much of an issue rather than giving it to him in space in a wide area or slightly deeper?? He does win some free kicks at least. Just dont want to see all those long balls, hopeful balls, from Wednesday again. Front 3 of him, Koroma and Thomas backed by Rudoni and either kasumu or Matos following up??? West Brom have 2 big centre backs, no point playing to their strengths, give em a real awkward player like Burgzok to deal with?? Ward is a sub for later on.

I come in that way too, mostly because my family were all from that side. I lived in Lepton, but dad moved to Fenay Bridge, dads family from Skelmanthorpe, mums from Flockton and my first 12 years were spent in Grange Moor, before moving to Lepton until I was 21. Before dad died just before covid I'd stay over there, and I still visit my Aunt in Skelmanthorpe, but not every game I go to. Surprisingly coming from Stockton, it's only 0.3 of a mile longer that way than it is via the M62 and prettier in many ways. Worst bit for me is bloody Flockton with it's 20 limit all the way through the village. It's almost impossible to stick to 20 for that distance in a modern car, especially with someone right up your arse. Not seen any cameras I don't think though in the village, maybe one, been a while since I went, but will be there Sunday. ( Wednesday match, but got a lift, yes there are two of us up north) I've had one speeding also, part time job driving for Boots after I retired, in Thirsk.

Trouble is, it takes a few games 5/6 for a new manager to get to know his best side.

Trouble is, it takes a few games 5/6 for a new manager to get to know his best side. Not if you have 5 or 5 injuries. If balker is fit to start, we simply put legs and pace on the pitch. Nicholls Headley helik balker spencer Matos rudoni kasumu Thomas burgzok koroma We compete further up and compete faster.

Most of the pillocks I end up behind drive at about 35 in the 50 bit and then 25 all the way to Tandem. They drive like there's a copper behind every sodding lamp post.

In contrast to our last two homes games when we had new Championship referees we probably have the most experienced in David Webb, his 1st visit to JSS was back in our league one days & a regular since, this season he's done Leicester at home & both Saints games......Awarded Town 2 pens (converted) back in 2020.

I like Burgzorg, he gives us some unpredictability and I think he’s a snip at £1m. That said there’s no way he should start ahead of Koroma (who I’m also a big fan of) on Sunday, It’d send a terrible message to the squad.

……………..Nichols Spencer Balker Helik Headley ……………Kas Matos ……Thomas Rudoni Koroma ……………….Ward
Burgzorg nowhere near starting 11 after the shit he served up on Wednesday. Performance like that should open an opportunity for others in the squad like Koroma.
Ward is hit or miss but he ran his socks off for as long as he could against Cardiff and was one of the few players to inject a bit of heart into a pretty dire night of football, so earns a place in there for me. Bojan comes on for him over Burgzorg.
Hogg can fuck off. Happy for him to be in the changing room for the rest of the season and make a cameo when Matos is shattered each game but nothing more. Legend, but past it. We go down if we rely on him.
Pearson in for Balker if he’s not fit, Lees can fuck off also. He’s shit and his awful performances outweigh his solid ones unfortunately.
Stay solid, attack from the off and I think we can win this one. West Brom will be licking their lips and we tend to do alright in those situations.

No I get the comparison I do but the fact he has people of their seats because there's à chance he might do something is why we pay to watch footy. I think someone mentioned on the other thread that he's this squads VLP and I loved him. We have to switch mentally from workhorses to players that scare defenders.

I find the hate of Burgzorg funny considering there’s a similarly wasteful player who gets lauded as the next big thing. Granted they’re different players but I’m always seeing how when rudoni scores one he won’t be able to stop. Yet this is both their stats this season. Rudoni 27 games 5 goals 2 assists Burgzorg 25 games 6 goals 1 assist.

Can’t argue with you there, I just think the best way to get a result this week would be to not start him and potentially introduce him for Koroma/Rudoni for the last half an hour where he can run at their tiring defence, who just so happen to be pretty big lads, not the quickest etc. I agree he’s more exciting than Ward (and most the squad) but I think game management should be considered for this one. I also know fuck all about the best way to win, just spouting my opinion!
