I called it that because I couldn't remember what the road was called! As for how fast I want to go, I'm generally on there after spending a couple of hours on the motorway, and because there are a lot of cameras in quick succession, with a changing speed limit - and if you miss the sign or don't pay attention, it would be easy to get those points. FTR I've only ever once been caught speeding, and it wasn't there. Mostly, it was just intended as a light hearted facetious comment. Yes sorry, sounded worse than I meant. I come in that way too, mostly because my family were all from that side. I lived in Lepton, but dad moved to Fenay Bridge, dads family from Skelmanthorpe, mums from Flockton and my first 12 years were spent in Grange Moor, before moving to Lepton until I was 21. Before dad died just before covid I'd stay over there, and I still visit my Aunt in Skelmanthorpe, but not every game I go to. Surprisingly coming from Stockton, it's only 0.3 of a mile longer that way than it is via the M62 and prettier in many ways. Worst bit for me is bloody Flockton with it's 20 limit all the way through the village. It's almost impossible to stick to 20 for that distance in a modern car, especially with someone right up your arse. Not seen any cameras I don't think though in the village, maybe one, been a while since I went, but will be there Sunday. ( Wednesday match, but got a lift, yes there are two of us up north) I've had one speeding also, part time job driving for Boots after I retired, in Thirsk. No worries. I have a failsafe method of avoiding getting caught speeding on there. I find that if I drive at about 35 in the 50 bit and then 25 all the way to Tandem I'm just fine. To help me remember , I imagine that there's a copper behind every lamp post.

I am not sure how Burgzorg can be our most creative player by far when he rarely passes the ball. I get that he can create chances for himself on the occasions he gets past the defence, but he rarely creates for others. He just hogs the ball. He might be a talent, but he needs to develop far better awareness of those around him, and realise there is no "I" in "Team" before he starts to realise it. As I've said on here oft times before, I'm in the minority who wouldn't sign him even at £1m. Not and never will be a team player; he's greedy and wasteful. Get shut. I did wonder whether AB might have been referring to Burgzorg in his final remarks in today's press conference...

Its where greed isnt so much of an issue rather than giving it to him in space in a wide area or slightly deeper?? He does win some free kicks at least. Just dont want to see all those long balls, hopeful balls, from Wednesday again. Front 3 of him, Koroma and Thomas backed by Rudoni and either kasumu or Matos following up??? West Brom have 2 big centre backs, no point playing to their strengths, give em a real awkward player like Burgzok to deal with?? Ward is a sub for later on. Burgzorg will be ploughing his own furrow I guess..

Dad loved there and agree they're good, especially as The Green Hut in the Village is nothing like it used to be. I do prefer "Chippy Booths at Spa Bottom though. He's long gone but the place is still known as that. ( Expect this'll get booted off at this rate, we're a bit off topic!)

Big game.

This is absolutely huge now. Psychologically essential we get ourselves out of the bottom three. Only a win will do.

I did wonder whether AB might have been referring to Burgzorg in his final remarks in today's press conference... Ab did say certain players were not sticking to the plan on Tuesday and if we had we would have got points Burgzorg has his own plan and is not a Team player...for those reasons I would get shut

Presure is on as we need to get out of the bottom 3
Many of these team can move up 6 places with a win then find themselves back where they were with a loss
I think town will draw v W B A then have a good win v Rotherham
These 4 points should take town out of the bottom 3 if other results go our way

……………..Nichols Spencer Balker Helik Headley ……………Kas Matos ……Thomas Rudoni Koroma ……………….Ward Burgzorg nowhere near starting 11 after the shit he served up on Wednesday. Performance like that should open an opportunity for others in the squad like Koroma. Ward is hit or miss but he ran his socks off for as long as he could against Cardiff and was one of the few players to inject a bit of heart into a pretty dire night of football, so earns a place in there for me. Bojan comes on for him over Burgzorg. Hogg can fuck off. Happy for him to be in the changing room for the rest of the season and make a cameo when Matos is shattered each game but nothing more. Legend, but past it. We go down if we rely on him. Pearson in for Balker if he’s not fit, Lees can fuck off also. He’s shit and his awful performances outweigh his solid ones unfortunately. Stay solid, attack from the off and I think we can win this one. West Brom will be licking their lips and we tend to do alright in those situations. UTFT I love the vitriol against Hogg and Lees yet you start with Ward who has offered square root of f**kall. If fit and available. Nicholls Spencer. Helik. Balker. Headley. Hogg Thomas. Matos. Rudoni. Koroma Burgzorg. Maybe Balker not quite ready to start this one & Pearson or Lees to partner Helik, Hogg will start with Matos/Kasumu & possibly the same the set up as last Saturday with a similar game plan without any dismissals......AB needs a clean sheet, Worthy had two in a row would be a good time to copy him 2-0. UTT.

Anyone else worried about the number of points the teams around us have been getting lately? I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this season. Prove me wrong, starting tomorrow lads

Need to win this, because anybody that’s followed Town for more than a week must know that Rotherham will get at least a point next Saturday.

This season has got 54 points written all over it to stay up.
Two seasons aside since we got back in the championship we barely get over that mark.
Worrying.

Waking up this morning and seeing the conditions makes me think today is going to be a very attritional slog of a game , which I do think suits Carlos more than us .
I noticed they struggled with QPR’s set pieces and hope that’s one area we’ve pin pointed to exploit .
I hope we set up in the knowledge WBA probably won’t press us but will look to sit back and counter at any opportunity.
Team for me is 451/433
Nicholls
Spencer Helik Lees (Balker if fit) Headley
Thomas Hogg Kasumu Rudoni Koroma
Burgzorg
Optimistic 3-1 Town

Hoping for a win obviously but a point against this lot really isnt a bad result.
Out of the remaining fixtures. Six of the teams left to play are currently within six points of the relegation zone. If we dont get enough points from this lot then we dont deserve to stay up.

If we dont get enough points from this lot then we dont deserve to stay up. My thoughts exactly. However, I remain confident that, regardless of the result today, we will stop up. My team: Nicholls Spencer Helik Balker (Lees if RB isn't fit) Headley Hogg Matos Thomas Rudoni Burgzorg Ward Subs: Maxwell, Pearson, Jackson, Kasumu, Wiles, Diarra, Jones, Koroma, Radulovic.

Whose turn is it for the last minute withdrawal due to personal reasons/bit of a cold/slight knock?
Need 11 men out there today.

Had Wardy managed to knock in that equaliser we'd be level on points with Birmingham, and goal difference, and goals scored/conceded...Out of interest what's the next criteria for sorting league position, if there is one ?

No matter the result today, we’re not safe or doomed.
I remember walking out of the Coventry match last year 100% convinced we were down. I’ll bet Wednesday fans thought the same after they lost 4-0 the week after we beat them 4-0.
With Rotherham next we could really do with a draw, a win would be huge. I get the feeling one or both of QPR and Wednesday will stay up, need to make sure it’s not at our expense.
What majorly important is we get a performance a marked improvement from the Cardiff match. More intensity. Really would like to see Spencer and Headley at full back and matos starting.
