Linnington is usually a very poor ref but I thought he had a pretty good game overall, we've certainly had much worse lately.

Came so close to not going today. Ground down, 42 years of love, 41 years a season ticket holder, but I'd just had about enough. But that's why we carry on. Felt drained but hopefully the lads get some momentum from that roar of the goal going in. I love Huddersfield Town to my dying day

Someone needs to have a word with Nicholls before Preston. His cocking about from dead ball situations and back passes was a massive issue today in terms of momentum. A 'keeper giving the ball to a marked player; knowing it's going to have to come straight back to them, is just wasting valuable seconds.

But, it did slightly irk me that Millwall time wasted for 94 minutes and then we did it when we had the lead, for what, all of 3 minutes? And we’re the ones that get booked for it. I know it doesn’t really matter, just seems daft.

Left before the end as I didn't want my car to outstay the time on the parking ticket, was halfway across the car park when we scored so I'm looking forward to seeing the goal on the highlights. First time in over 30 years of watching Town that I've left early and missed a goal...
If we're level on 90 in either of the last two games, I'm off!

Waking up Sunday morning after a win - finally.
The Boos from our fans when Edward’s came on were out of order.
Full backs are a problem though.
Play Spencer at left back ? Turtle at right back ? Mmm I’m Not sure Ollie hasn’t played in months very tough to come into a relegation battle when you have barely played.
Headley just needs to concentrate more and do it faster. Seems to slow down and not make a positive decision.

It wasn't nothing. The frigging ref could've blown much earlier and saved both from yellow cards but chose not too. Millwall then just tried to get him to react with snide kicks off the ball. AB went over and had a right hug and a word with him after the final whistle. poor reffing this. He absolutely could have stepped in earlier. Given the foul against Sorba and avoided giving 2 yellow cards. He could have avoided Sorba’s booking, but not the Millwall player’s. Pull back is a booking, every time. I actually think he was OK. Though quite how we ended up with as many yellows as them is a mystery.

poor game ruined by the wind but who cares , i thought millwall were pretty awful, also found it pretty despicable how straight after thomas booking they were trying to wind him up as he walked towards their half , wasn't sure but spencer stepped in and gave one of their players a clip - thought he might get a booking but not sure if either ref or lino saw it

Ref made a couple of bizarre decisions where he booked both players for an altercation but didn’t book theirs for knocking the ball away or cynical fouls beforehand that caused it

Quite how Honeyman didn’t get a yellow out of it for trying to provoke Sorba I’ll never know. It would seem from the scuffle that happened in the tunnel area at full time that Brooky (the kit man) saw that incident and let Honeyman know about it

Got what they deserved in the end.

Don't remember more than a few occasions when they hung onto the ball or kicked it away and once when a player went down like he'd been shot.

Approached Honeyman and said a few words about his antics and then Brooky stepped in and stopped Honeyman from getting back at him.

Aside from the goal, my favourite bit from yesterday was the Millwall commentary just after our goal complaining how long we were taking over our throw, completely oblivious to the fact they were making a double substitution 🤣

I think it was only their last sub that strolled off the pitch (was this before the corner for the goal?), but I’d agree. They did their best to disrupt the game though, and their tactics were pure shithouse for the whole game. You could argue they got what they deserved really. I think Town deserved the win, but in reality 2 average teams and it could have ended 3-2 with better finishing from both teams. All that said, the release of tension after the goal should be what the ownership team should tap into. That’s what gets the ground going, goals in the opposition net… It’s been a while since we’ve seen that sort of drama. Or maybe not, it felt like Deja Vu, around this time last season…

Another forgettable game (looked very much like a League 1 match) between 2 distinctly average teams until the end. Don’t know what some of the Millwall players were trying to do 2nd half but they got what they deserved. Some right silly twats out there; Mitchell and numbers 39(?) and 2 especially so. Some right fuckin nonsense at the end too. We’re desperate for points so I’ll obviously take it, onto PNE.

Linnington is usually a very poor ref but I thought he had a pretty good game overall, we've certainly had much worse lately. Linnington is a dreadful referee, he should given a foul against Sorba, instead he was slow to act, instead of nipping the incident in the bud. He allowed Millwall to constantly commit niggly foul on Town players, without booking the offending players, disrupting the game. The decision to book Tom Edwards, late on was a joke, typical Linnington - UTT.
