The ownership have seen the full Warnock effect up close. He is a miracle worker at this level, it doesn’t make any sense how he does it and how no one else can consistently, but the proof is there. NW keeping us up was an incredible achievement but a bit of a double edge sword in that it gave a false picture of mean squad quality. I can see why the ownership thought we’d be reasonably safe to change NW when they did unfortunately it’s really laid bare how far off quality wise the squad is at this level. I don’t think NW helped with his “top half squad” comments on leaving either, he knew as well as the rest of us that wasn’t true and we were likely to be in another relegation battle without serious player additions. I don't think many on here had a false picture about our squad We all knew it was more than weak Unfortunately the people making the decisions didn't agree Not sure you read to the bottom of my post, because that’s what it says.

Yes it does but makes for interesting reading. Would you care to share what 'claims' you've heard? All you need to do is check the Warnock threads on here. I've done all the trawling I need to do to satisfy myself that I believe NW's early, yet unplanned, demise was down to him and no one else. I don't believe for one second that DM was an opportunity that the club couldn't miss out on after persuading NW to stay on for one more season, especially only 6 games into the season (they gave him the Stoke game as his final hurrah), but they'd clearly had enough and criticising the owner publicly after KN's regretful social media outburst after the Norwich drubbing was the final straw. It's so patently obvious it beggars belief that people think otherwise. It's with huge regret that the conversations weren't done behind closed doors as I too believe we wouldn't be in this position now if they had been but they were, and it happened, and I'm sure lessons will have been learnt by those involved but it doesn't alter the fact that we are 4th from bottom of the league with 4 games to go so we should stop harping on about it and get behind KN and AB to secure championship football. Just as a footnote, lets remember that up until being contacted by DH, NW hadn't managed a football club since leaving Middlesbrough by mutual consent in Nov. 2021 (subsequently announcing his retirement in April 2022) and save for 33 days at Aberdeen hasn't managed one since despite his past clubs such as QPR, Plymouth, Rotherham also being in the relegation mire.

Justasmithers inspires me. He's positive and loves Town. I truly believe good times are ahead. You can't beat end of season excitement whether it be getting in the play-offs or surviving relegation. Every game now is massive. It's stressful but I love it Birch twigs are in the post 😉 Good man. First class or second?

Warnock saved us last season and had us comfortably out of the relegation zone this season. There's alot of speculation around agencies and things but no hard evidence that there was any wrong doing. For me, he should have got the full season until we found a proper replacement, not Moore. I don't care if Warnock wasn't at every training session, he was still getting enough out of the team in a division he kept us in. It's a results business. This season has been a complete shambles from our own staff which are currently employed and there's still focus on NW who's been gone 6/7 months. Our transfer windows have been diabolical. We kept a manager who was clearly not right for us in charge for far too long and now we've got a manager with no experience of English football trying to keep us in the championship. You can look back and convince yourself Warnock leaving was a good thing all you want but the fact is, it's not got any better since he left, its got alot worse.

What we do know is Dean asked Neil at least twice to come out retirement to help save Town, he didn't publicly bad mouth the team/staff when losing back to back 4-0 & basically gave NW a free hand to prepare the squad in which ever way he felt fit, which included giving the players a week off in last March international break (like Sept when we won both games either side).......Its his style of man management & the new regime weren't happy with it so they parted (wrongly IMO).

I cannot see any manager being successful at HTFC with Cartwright and Co picking his players.

I cannot see any manager being successful at HTFC with Cartwright and Co picking his players. First job at the end of the season. See if Webber fancies it. Absolutely key position.

Can we include the whys and wherefores, ifs and buts, surrounding NW in that as well please. I know, I'm as guilty as anyone there, but all that really matters is staying up and, then again, in the whole grand scheme of things, if we don't, it's only football and not the end of the world as we know it. Lets stop all the sniping and bickering and channel our energies into getting a point or 3 tomorrow. Love to all (......for now ). TFI Friday

I think Kev might even admit he called it wrong, but he'd not say so on his podcast as he'd have Big Dave chasing him up the street!

I still cringe at the announcers dig at the end of the Leeds game..” see you again next season.” Somehow I don’t think we will. So tinpot that, time he hung his mic up. And took the players with him. Absolute bollox bro.. It’s banter.. I loved it.. Never ever ever miss an opportunity to take the piss out of the dirty beeston chestwankers.. 🍻🍻 Would’ve been great if we were up there with them, not an embarrassing mess of a club destined for league one. There’s a time and a place for “Bantz” I agree. Just made us look stupid as a lot of folk around me thought as well.

That’s the nature of football. Nothing wrong with taking the piss out of other clubs, even if you are the PA bloke. If it comes back to bite him I doubt he’ll be losing any sleep over it, he’ll just wait for the next opportunity and hope it goes in our favour.
Lot of people feeling a bit sore on this forum since the weekend.

To be fair, “position of strength” takes some beating if you’re trying to make us look stupid. Those smug wankers need to go. KN probably needs to learn as well if it was his social media post that led to Warnock’s comments that led to him being sacked. That’s probably cost us our Championship status and him a lot of money due to ego.

We all know where the buck stops. I don't think for a moment that Big Kev or Justasmithers imagined we would end up here. Just a word of advice though guys, if (if!) you are surprised at the vitriol being handed out at the moment, I'd be inclined to go offline on Sat if we lose. #HereToHelp
