it's normal now for fans to sing that song to teams going down. I'm sure if you beat us and it puts us down or close to it your fans will be singing the same to us. It has happened to us before when we have played a club at the end of the season and they have been relegated/already relegated/we have relegated them and I don’t recall much crowing, the odd young muppet perhaps. The taunting at the end of that game by blue noses was bang out of order and you will get it back in spades if the roles are reversed in 2 weeks time. I suspect there will be a heavy police presence that day because it could quite easily turn ugly. Didn't we relegate Barnsley a couple of years back?

Too young to remember it, don't even know if I was at the game, but is it right that the Birmingham fans were singing "We'll Meet Again" to our fans, and were generally gloating that they'd sent us down? Yes, and the old "Shit to ma Lou Macari" song, constantly. Walked past the Lou Macari chip shop yesterday on way to MCR marathon start line - always makes me happy when I see it mentioned on line somewhere, first time I've seen it in real life!!

Sorry Billy but some of us older supporters have never (and never will) forgive Bob Latchford (thus Birmingham too), so have never had any softness for your team. Not your fault though. Bob was a fantastic striker for us and his brother Dave a great keeper. I wasn't aware he did wrong to Huddersfield. What was it he did ? Latchford broke Town goalkeeper Terry Poole’s leg. Poole was being tipped for the England squad but was never quite the same after his injury. Not satisfied with that, the following season Latchford put Poole’s replacement David Lawson in hospital after another challenge. We don’t like BCFC. Up the Villa!

Went there with my Dad when we went to watch a Man Utd game when I was a kid, not long after Macari had been here, and I expected to see him in there

They'd already gone by the game but it could have been relegation D-day just prior.

I saw Terry last week and he showed me his leg. It's a right mess. Like Terry Bobby Campbell had a couple of bad breaks......Looked like a map of Europe. I was at one of those games where Campbell broke his leg, you could hear it snap and he was pounding the ground with his fist in agony

Difference is though , unlike the neanderthals from Birmingham, we wont be ripping out the seating and chucking it at the opposing fans due to us getting a bit upset that the police wouldnt let us out of the ground for safetly reasons. Mindless cretins who were intent on causing bother that day.

Not your fault though. it's always sad when a player suffers a bad injury but in all my many years supporting my team and watching football I only remember Roy Keane deliberately trying to break bones. I have seen players from other clubs do it to our players and I didn't like them for a few years but I would never not like his club for his actions.but each to their own and I respect your opinion and still hope we both survive.

Coincidence? No, he knew exactly what he was doing, and didn't pull out of the challenges. Big, dirty, bassa. He'd be in big trouble for that approach these days. I hope Rovrum beat you 100-0 and that you go bust overnight.

That photographic evidence doesnt really support the idea Latchford 'deliberately' did poole though does it. The one on Lawson was worse. Landed really awkwardly. Lucky he didnt break his neck. Guess it's why keepers always jump with their own knee up to protect themselves now, which Lawson didnt do.

I’m giving Billy Blues until CoB Thursday, if he survives on here after Saturday then I’d suggest we’ve had some good results that day… 😉

So you don't see Latchford knocking Lawson out then? sorry I didn't see it on the tiny video but I just found it on YouTube on my TV.it was a clumsy challenge and I don't think his intention was to hurt him. I noticed the ref didn't even book him. That said his arm was raised and I think if now with VAR it would have at least been a booking possible red.Never nice seeing players been carried off.

What you can't see in the photo is the ball . Because it's nowhere near when he smashes the keeper .

Can’t remember but we wouldn’t have gloated on about it, same as we didn’t with Reading. I don’t ever remember oppo fans doing it before or after 2001 either but that really made my piss boil. Given the circumstances under which we were relegated in 2001, we’re safe then we’re not, to have them rubbing salt in the wounds to the extent they did…they can fook right off.

You get a great result go above us at a crucial moment, then you come on here wishing we both stay up , more or less knowing it’s us or you. Yeah cheers ( ??) the odds are highly stacked against us now, but I will leave the ground much happier if you do relegate us knowing a blues fan wished us well. Personally couldn’t care less who stays up as long as Huddersfield do and I’m not even slightly convinced re your sincerity. My Villa work colleague though wishes you nothing but Relegation sorry. ( matters shit though really).

Your wrong in your guess but it's your opinion.up until Saturday we had been getting no luck and after the Cardiff defeat I started to fear the worse. After the Coventry game we have a chance now.As I said of the other teams around us I hope Huddersfield stay up.if you study the table it's Not only us or you who can go down its actually 8 teams who can still go down.
