No, read what I ACTUALLY posted, I said the FA must have seen something good, even tokenism needs SOME ability be shown. Sorry I’m not talking the piss out of you just quite shocked you believe what you’re texting. Work in many industries now have targets refs are no different talent as NOTHING to do with it unfortunately, but you believe what you want I don’t. Mate, I know there are box ticking targets within industry, I've seen it first hand at my previous employers. I'm just giving the FA a little bit of benefit of the doubt. If they box ticked someone with absolutely NO ability then it just draws attention to the box ticking. That's the only reason I think she must have shown an iota of ability somewhere down the line. I will add though, that I personally haven't seen much ability with my own eyes, quite the opposite, I just can't believe a corporate entity would open themselves up to that kind of public criticism and scrutiny without some kind of evidence of ability to back up their decision. Then again, it is the completely competent FA and PGMOL we're talking about Edit: and don't worry bud, you didn't offend me in any way

Diversity is the number one thing these days in all large corps. Ability has nothing to do with it.

She’s simply rubbish.

Not watched any women's football but do they use male referees and line people? If so do young men get fast tracked in the female game?

Mate I completely agree, I never said I thought she was any good, just that I thought the authorities would have seen SOMETHING (anything?) to box tick her over some other woman. Maybe the others they considered were even worse I wouldn't even call it naivety as turbo2 suggests, as I say I know it goes on, just that if they were going to box tick (which obviously goes on) they'd pick someone they could box tick and get away with it without too much scrutiny/negativity. If she's the best of the box ticking bunch though, fuck me football is in trouble.

Hate Birmingham City and their fanbase has higher than average number of idiots. I was at St Andrews when Latchford did Poole in 71 and again following season when he nobbled Lawson.....hope we can somehow drag them down with us but hard to see us beating a blind school eleven with this shower of shit

In the sell out 52,500 71/72 QF game we got 25% of tickets 13,000 plus and apart from play off finals and Autoglass I don't think in my lifetime (following Town since 67/68) we've ever had a bigger away following. I genuinely believed we were going to win the FA Cup that season ....last time we ever reached a Qf

I think the train had to pull forward twice to accommodate the carriages and people getting on!

I went on the Hanson coach with my late Dad which got stuck in traffic so we missed kick off finally getting in that corner near where scoreboard/clock was just in time to see them go 1-0 up at same end
