why cant you be a little bit positive though I read every post and its negative nothing to say that is a positive. I said I would pay for your season ticket if it meant you did not attend with your negative vibes, but I guess you decided to keep coming and keep being negative (maybe you are not in the ground but you certianly are on this message board). Is there not any way you can priase something the club has done instead of putting it down at every possible occasion, what part of you thinks signing JH on for another year is not good news for the team / club ? I really do not understand how you in any way think this is not good news ? yet again you make a postive thread about our Captain staying for another year into a negative, I just dont understand why you have to bring down the thread to a positve, your like a talk sport presenter who is told / paid to say something conflicting in order to antaganise people and create a debate, maybe this your intention but its kind of draining and boring like a broken record. It's not always negative. It's just all you choose to see. I have praised the club loads of times over the last few months, I've said many times that they do some really good work off the pitch and have never said any different. There's been several events over the last few months that have been a credit to the club and I've said so. I agree But you ignore it because it doesn't suit your agenda. No maybe just didnt read them sorry. I even tagged you in a thread to show you lots of positive stuff I do for the club, in my own time and for free. But you ignored that as well. Ok sorry did not see this either. I've watched Town in 70 grounds, so I most definitely do go to the games. We probably stand next to each other having a beer on match days !
I don't take too kindly to people telling me I'm something I'm not and telling me that I shouldn't support the team I've supported since I was a boy, so can you stop doing it, please. Not telling you not to support, just be good to see something postive and appoligies if I missed these posts.
And on your final point, calling me a "broken record", that is the biggest irony of all ironies coming from you. You're the most boring poster on the board, with your pretend "in the know" posts that sees everyone sighing with a collective yawn. I have said somethings on an earlier post a week or so ago and I am pretty sure so far all are correct and you will find that they all are (Hogg singing, Umbro again), you can block me if you like will be easier.
Strangly we probably agree on a lot more than you think.
Anyway lets stop the endless arguments I am sorry if I upset you and I will try to be more respectful to your opionion on things in the future, hopefully you return the same gesture.

Oh joy. Let’s not dictate on who should and shouldn’t say why they feel? Football is an emotive sport, just now there is a level of negativity and worry about it next season but it’ll dissipate if we get off to a good start. Bring on the joker sales and fresh faces coming in, proud to be at a club like Town. Sort it out then. Fair enough. Clear warning to you both htafcokay castlehillterrier; take the spat private or you’ll both get a few days rest from the forum. I’m all for opinions and debate but I speak for everyone when it’s tiring logging in and seeing tit for tat posts tagging on. htafcokay you do some tremendous work but don’t react so easily to bait. castlehillterrier you’ve been advised before…stop baiting and continuing to throw bait. Dead simple. It’s the close-season and it’s boring but this isn’t a primary school playground.

There's little wonder I lose my rag.

Do me a favour and piss right off. Sorry no
Stop telling me what I should be doing, stop putting words in my mouth and stop telling me I'm something I'm not. You can post what you want (within reason), All i am asking is why does it always have to be negative? Keep trotting out the "you're negative" lines all you want, I'll get excited when some signings come through the door and we start winning games. We might get to see this then...... out of interest would any of the names above make you excited as I am pretty sure some of this list will be at town next season ? I'm still waiting for you to pay for my season ticket, but as with everything else you post on here, it was bullshit. see below I am happy to, to keep you away as I always said I would I would donate weekly to someone who cant get one. why cant you be a little bit positive though I read every post and its negative nothing to say that is a positive. Back to the point, I think Hogg still offers a lot at this level. we really missed him at the end of the season as the midfield lost all sense of discipline and organisation overall the last 6/7 games. He does have his limitations but those wont be exposed as much at this level and if we can make some good additions to ours midfield, this can be a real positive.

The vast majority of readers are not remotely interested in viewing anything castlehillterrier has to say, but here we are. He chats absolute shite and he 100% doesn’t go to any of the games and how he calls the players and staff by their first names is laughable. If he does, more than happy to meet up and be civil but in my opinion he’s on here to feed his ego. If he was a long term supporter as he says, it’s a bit odd he made an account when we got the new owners and proceeded to make up transfer rumours. Admins - he was warned about pretending to know the going’s on at the club. Yet TIME and TIME again he comes on here saying he knows the inner transfer dealings at the club, yet none of the actual in the know posters know anything. So it’s clear it’s all a lie. Like I’ve said, I actually like his posts where he just comments on the club and HIS opinion. I admit I have continued to derail the thread but I have blocked him yet his posts still come up and I’m not sure why.

Btw, if he does know as much as he says (unlikely). I’m not sure justasmithers and Nagle would be too happy that he’s on here trying to leak everything to a bunch of people he’s never met just so he can pleasure himself when one idiot falls for it.

Some people need to realise that Hoggs off the field stature at the club is huge. Every young player coming in on loan has named Hogg as the person they looked up to. Matos has been the latest.
He offers so much off the field that will help the club.

I think the last few years he has been one of, if not the fittest player I am sure I read somewhere he still came out on top on the pre season tests (I am guessing thing like bleep test, etc ) 100% JH is having some more issues with niggly injuries, and maybe lost a little bit of pace but the desire and determination is still there and with the drop down a division I believe he has lots to offer as one our central midfielders, I imagine he will subject to fitness be one of the first names on the team sheet every week. Matos saying what he has said in the recent interview would be backed up by many players, its a massive boost for the club to have the General staying on.

I agree with those saying we can't be relying on him to be starting games. And this next comment is an example and not meant to be disrespectful, but Hogg will be perfect to start in nitty gritty away games such as Crawley, Leyton Orient etc. I wouldn't necessarily be starting him in home games, where we should be playing an attacking, flowing front foot style. He will also be very useful in the Papa John's and League Cup.

He's been a legend for Town and the broad sentiment behind your post, yeah, but he's hardly an icon in the world of football. The Matos article on Chelsea's site says "Players like Jonathan Hogg were great and they were very good guys" - no mention of looking up to him, which has quite significant connotations for loans players from the biggest clubs in the country. Also, the dressing room was widely acknowledged to be toxic only weeks ago - yes Hogg was injured at the end of the season, but does that mean his huge stature at the club was unable to sort the dressing room out?

I actually hope we have the squad that allows us to pick and choose when Hogg starts and doesnt it will be better for him and the team to be not starting every week, I do see him starting lots of games however next season be great to have 4 people to rotate in that position, Hogg, Kasumu, New Signing, New Signing, especially if the two new players have a better passing range and keep the game moving with Hogg and Kasumu to do the breaking up of play. The home games whne attacking we could play him still but I tend to agree we could play someone more attack minded and bring Hogg on towards the end if in control or to see out a game. I am not sure there are many better players available to us in his position and certainly not many to set the standards that Duff will be looking for. Currently we can have Wiles or Rudoni in front of the two in a 5-3-2 (3-5-2) formation, we do need some more attacking wing backs to play 3 / 5 at the back however or else we would not have many forward thinking players in the team. Its really all about balance and Hogg gives balance as long as the squad / team around him has balance and compliments him also. Very excited to see who we bring in now, and also who leaves as I am sure there will be quite a turnaround both ways in the squad. We now have our heart, we now need to add, lungs, legs and a brain to the team and we are well on our way.

Admins: come on! As tiresome as petty arguments are (I know, I’ve had a few), Lee adds so much to this forum. The stuff he does with our history and how he touches base with us when he is going to interview former players is invaluable.
Clearly, you are banning the wrong poster imo. We are losing too many characters on DATM. Please reinstate him. Cheers.

Also, the dressing room was widely acknowledged to be toxic only weeks ago - yes Hogg was injured at the end of the season, but does that mean his huge stature at the club was unable to sort the dressing room out? Sounds like the dressing room was a disorganised mess with zero discipline installed last summer, DM came in and was not strong enough to change it, AB came in and the timing was not correct to change it but I believe he wanted to just could not afford to have even less players avialable. I am pretty sure a new set of rules will be in place for all players at the club for next season starting the first day back of pre season the ones that dont accept it are probably already on the way, players are paid lots of money but they need rules and disapline still or they end up just causing issues. Hogg was part of this dressing room but unfortunatly I believe it went to far for Hogg and the other experienced pros to control it. Duff comes accross as someone who can install this discipline (but he needs people like Hogg around to help) from what has been said I think Duff can install this but maybe in a better less authoritive way than AB might have done it, again its about finding a balance but for sure some of the bad eggs need to leave ASAP maybe not all but at least 3 or 4 and then the culture can be changed. Winning games will also help with this and hopefully we see the full impact of this during the season.

If it helps I don’t want anyone banned, and I was just asking a question I even apologised before Admins said anything as I think something was taken out of context in my post by htafcokay I certainly didn’t mean to upset or disrespect. I disagreed with something said but certainly did not mean to offend or upset with my disagreement, we all should be allowed an opinion even if we do / don’t agree with it. We are all town fans and part of being a fan is the discussions together I really like that people have different opinions / views on things sometimes you even end up changing your mind with a good debate.
