I think this is the start of the good news coming in, great to have our leader around for at least next season.
In L1 I think he still has a lot to offer we just might need to pick and choose the games he starts a little bit more, but as an example for others to follow we could not get better.
A true warrior and HTAFC legend great work by Mark, Kevin and Jake and the team to get Hoggy signed up to continue the Journey at HTAFC.

So that means Hogg has turned us down then.

So that means Hogg has turned us down then. I love how he uses first names. Just give that sense of familiarity that some may fall for.

Club legend. Be interesting to know if he had any other offers? It was only whether he was gonna retire or have another year, he was never going anywhere else

Nothing against Hogg coming on for 20 minutes or perhaps a little longer if required, just hope it didnt cost to much.

Not really looking forward to the inevitability of Hogg starting most of our games when we fail to recruit any midfielders who are good enough, or any new leaders who can get the team ticking without him being in it.
Would've preferred a fresh start for the club, but hopefully playing at a lower level will hide some of his loss of pace and energy over the last couple of seasons. If the going is good, he's absolutely crucial for keeping standards high.

As i feel he can do 20 minutes and bit parts, but nothing more anymore . It is not his fault, its just time catches up on you.

Think Whitehead in 2017. Great option for us to have. Not many clubs in L1 will be able to boast that and have his experience. Blue and White throughout. Not shirking responsibility or failures. Legend. UTT

Club legend. Be interesting to know if he had any other offers? It was only whether he was gonna retire or have another year, he was never going anywhere else This suggests he will take more of a backseat this season which is exactly how he should be used. Similar to whitehead 16/17. With the documented issues from the back end of last season, just having him in the dressing room will be crucial and money well spent.

I remember Hoyle or Wagner laughing and saying even back then that Hoggs contract "takes care of itself" when quizzed on if he'd signed a new deal.
Brilliant news! Ain't many left in the game as loyal and commited as him.

It does but we missed him hugely in the championship last season, I wouldn't necessarily think he'll just be backup. He said when I'm needed because he's a pro and knows he's not a guaranteed starter, same as anyone. We need more central midfielders for sure but in Hogg and Kassumu we've got 2 very good defensive ones. It's creativity we desperately need and have needed for three seasons!

These comments about being similar to Whitehead in 16/17 coming on to see games out, it happened twice all season. He made 10 starts and 6 sub appearances although some of the sub appearances were when we'd lost the game to keep the score down. Be very surprised if Hogg is used like that. I hope he is used sparingly but worried it will prevent or dissuade us from searching for a proper replacement.

Great news. If Helik can also be persuaded to stay, we've got two key pieces of the backbone for next season.
