Would be fucking mint if True!
Some decent transfer news for town for once. Feels like it’s all been mediocre for the last 3-5 years.
Alfie May would definitely be for the long term, he could do bits in the championship. Impressive that Charlton have kept him

Literally the perfect signing if it comes off.
66 League 1 goals in the last 3 seasons, League 1 golden boot last season and worked under Duff before.

Bid from Town - Now that would be showing some proper intent! 27 goals last season. Minimum 20 goals the past 3 seasons. Played under Duff at Cheltenham. Nice link there. Pete Rourke is usually on the money. Scored 83/184 since 2020. Him and Healey upfront yes pls.

Looks agile enough to cause havoc and can't see it breaking the bank to land him if Charlton will let him go. But he will need feeding lol.

We're up against Wrexham and Ferencvaros according to that thread...

We're up against Wrexham and Ferencvaros according to that thread... If this is true playing under Duff again should help convince him. He knows how Duff wants to play and that he will be a regular. Good chance of promotion as well.

This would be a solid striker. May, Healey and Bojan would be a great set of strikers for league 1.
Backed up by either Harratt or Ward - one of them would surely leave.

Bid from Town - Now that would be showing some proper intent! 27 goals last season. Minimum 20 goals the past 3 seasons. Just to play devils advocate (why not, DATM hates balance): 31 next month. Shite rate prior to the last three seasons. Arguably a poor return when under Duff.

Hate it when deals are discussed before the player has signed. But if it gets done it means we can sing "he's electric ....."

Hang on hang on. How do we now know who is “ITK” on a Charlton forum? Some knowledge that!! Reading the forum is hilarious. There’s some profile who’s clearly their version of CHT saying shit like “I know who the replacement is but can’t say for the sake of Nathan Jones” 😂. ITK should be banned as a phrase on here.

If we are to gamble on a lg 1 striker I'd go Langstaff rather than May both goal scorers just feel langstaff been a bit younger could still improve.

I must be psychic. Had my usual email from 442 magazine on Tuesday to answer questions for their preseason edition. One was "the opposition player I'd love here is"... My answer was "is Alfie May from Charlton. Scored goals a plenty in an average side last season, and we haven't had a guaranteed goalscorer for many seasons" One of my sensible answers to the numerous questions

A quick browse turned up a post from lunch time saying May was on his way up north. Possibly just coincidence, lucky timing I guess.

Another sneak preview... The active player I'd love to have back is Steve Mounie. He'd score for fun in League One, but the lure of Champions League football for Brest may put paid to that notion The player I'd happily drive to another club is Josh Koroma. On his day he has all the skills. Unfortunately his day is like Santa's - once a year

I'd be over the moon with this one. Proven top League 1 performer, very decent returns from both a career, and recent seasons perspective. Not injury prone Has experience with Duff
If we're aiming to get out of the league (upwards, not down!) then this is the way to go about it
