I was actually going to post something like this earlier. I kept seeing transfer rumours on Twitter that Charlton were linked with so many players. I thought maybe they are just waiting to get those deals done before they announce have got a fee for May. Suppose it’s same reason clubs keep fees undisclosed

Turn down the transfer fee, not move back to his house in Doncaster and miss the opportunity to work under Duff again. You can see why it may not have been a hard sell for him.

Wasn't he our record signing for AGES - possibly right up until Schindler*, which was probably less if you adjust it for inflation. Apart from those mad years in the Prem, I've never really known us spend seven-figure sums.
