Spot on, it's a dreary dirge and above all it's the United Kingdom's national anthem not England's. Spot on really so it's bloodthirsty and outdated but worthy with some nice lyrics like equality, fraternity and liberty which are kind of good. Yet singing the Red Flag doesn't make you a socialist least at a Labour Party conference, in the words of Depeche Mode "words are meaningless" especially when spouting BS. Lee Carsley was born in Birmingham that's in England incidentally not Ireland, why does he want the job could it be the money. This fake Irish patriotism (half of Huddersfield are Irish descent including myself) is pathetic besides the fact he would be yet another English FA yes man. England really needs a foreign manager who has actually won stuff, not someone with an identity crisis. I wasn't convinced you were female at first, but thanks for confirming that you are.  |

Tichel is a fantastic tournament manager. Has a decent record in cups with the clubs he has managed.

What an indictment of English coaches. When Howe or Carsley are the only real alternatives. No surprise when you look at the top two divisions in English football as they are totally dominated with non English coaches. What happened to the "pathway" for coaches from St Georges Park ? The real top international sides, the ones that win tournaments, Brazil ,Argentina ,Germany and Italy, would they ever employ a "foreign" coach ?
Sven and Capello were hopeless at the job, hopefully it is third time lucky

Great for the short term, can see us getting over the line in a tournament now.
But, as sure as night meets day he'll fall out with either some of his players and those above him, risking dismantling the great work Southgate has done for 'Team England'.
