2-2 draw written all over it. Gives us your verdict on the promoted teams & do you think they will be one or two of them punching above their weight.......Could Stockport & Wrexham possibly cause a stir?

I've bitten the bullet and bought a ticket. Usually dislike away games cos of all the coked-up kiddies, but it's not far down the road and if you can't get excited for the start of the new season, when can you? Predicting a tight, niggly game ending 1-1.
I'd almost forgotten my last visit to London Road, when we went 2-0 up and then fuc... excuse me... and then we didn't win!

If we want automatic promotion, we need to be aiming to win every game. That’s a winning culture, so I’m going for a win. Exactly. We need to change the whole culture at the club. We've been a negative, backwards passing, know our place, happy to be here, since Tottenham at home in the first PL season.

Wrexham - Top half just Stockport - Comfortably midtable Mansfield - Stay up just Crawley - Comfortably relegated

2-2 draw written all over it. Away to a promotion chasing side I'd take that all day long.

Without wanting to sound like a Birmingham fan, I want us to go to games and act like the big shots we are. None of this defending 1-0 leads and respecting the opposition. We have an opportunity to rejuvenate the fans and after years of acting like small fry we should start throwing our weight about.

Peterborough supporting mate tells me that Conn Clarke is on fire since joining them. Needs watching.

I know tactic talk is boring but im not sure if a 352 is the most effective way to use this squad.
I hope theres a plan B because something like a 4231 might work a bit better.
Hogg or Kasumu next to Kane gives a bit of destroying or energy alongside ball playing. Evans Wiles and Koroma behind Healey works better for me and you can still have the full backs bombing forward if needed.

I’ll reserve judgment to will play a proper game but I’ve never been a fan of a 3 back. Yes it’s dynamic but only is you’ve got the real quality for it, all 3 of our main centre backs are slow and pretty bad on the ball - that’s why Balker is such a big miss. However I also don’t know what league one will be like, it might be worse than we expect or better. Last season we played teams who were top 10 who didn’t exactly outclass us so let’s hope duff can get it right.

It'll be far from easy but we should be winning this, our squad is significantly more expensive and has better quality on paper. If the manager has been able to get his ideas across we should be looking at a minimum of a point. That's assuming there are no injuries to key players, strikers for example.

Starting to get the buzz now so weathers good beers out thinking of whipping those deluded dicks in their own backyard picking up the ball at full time then giving them the middle finger out the window of the league one promotion funbus! Tickets sorted and it’s a direct train from Melton Mowbray to shiterborough UTFT

Think we might be in for a rude awakening, they score plenty, we concede plenty. Think the squad we have is mid table. With 4 days to go we are 4 or 5 short in my opinion and too many players in the squad that performed so woefully for the last year or 2.
The best chance we have of going back up is at the first attempt and once again we havnt realised the scale of the task at hand. How long now since relegation is confirmed and we havnt signed a striker, and we still have gaps to fill. Birmingham have realised that chance and will walk this league.
3-1 Peterborough

Weve got relegated and changed mgr in the last few mths - that makes recruitment tougher and our record on it in recent yrs has been poor. Weve still to see a fit balker and bojan.....if they exist and there will be ins and outs a few in the next 2/3 wks i suspect. Lets just see how we go eh.........

I'm not massively worried that we've still got gaps to fill in the squad. Personally I think we're 3 or 4 signings away, but if they all arrive on deadline day, so be it.
We've got 51 games this season - minimum. We're going to need a squad. We can still pick a competitive team for this level. There's nowhere that we'll be horribly out of our depth with the current squad. I'd rather we get the right player in on deadline day than a bang average one now just to say we've got someone.
The best players will have multiple offers to weigh up and will be able to play hardball with clubs. Premier League clubs will be assessing their squads as to who can go out and at what level. I expect a few decent deals to go through in the last couple of days of the window, and that's fine.

Had a promo email from the club about Premium Experience for the home games..White Rose Club, Match sponsor, Match Ball sponsor, Heritage Suite. Premier Lounge, Club Town, Match Day Box, ....but they all have 2 price options, Cat A and Cat B ? Does this mean matches are going to be categorised again depending who the opposition is, and if so will this also apply to gate entry on the day ?

Abroad at the moment and want to buy the match pass to watch the game.
I'll be paying from an English account and an English home address etc will it still allow me to access the match?
Assuming people have done this before.

Only seen the new lads properly once in our shirts so any comment would be premature. Friendlies are always hard to make any judgements on.. Dont want a scattergun approach and end up with players that never play too much for us but seem to be here far too long. Must be good funds for a striker given the amount in fees and wages we were prepared to give for May.?? Id also rather get one player that fits than 3 to fill up the squad, now..

Assuming people have done this before. When I've watched on ifollow in previous seasons I've had to use a VPN to fool it into thinking I was UK based. I found nordvpn to be the best option considering security, functionality and price. Can't remember how much it was for one month but not bad, just remember to cancel!

Isn't it (or the area) the site of a number of battles between us and Vikings, us and Normans and a whole host of others? Or is that a different Stamford?
