Difficult to understand the criticism on here after that performance.
Korma might deserve to be cut some slack? He was a handful at the weekend and we know he can score. He deserves a chance to get his eye in this season. I trust this manager 100% so I'm sure he wouldn't play him if he didn't see that he will have a positive effect on games.
Well done to Callum Marshall. His movement was excellent, took his goal brilliantly and the assist was superb. Big shout out for Headley as well - excellent performance. Kane, Kasumu, Sorensen.....all had great games.

Which Marshall did all the spadework for. He was excellent tonight, whereas his strike partner was his usual self. It’s called teamwork. It's called delusion. Ward was garbage. |

We're we expected to win? Yes..
Main thing for me was how we went about the win.
Over the years we may have got the win but huffed and puffed and somehow got it.
With 8 changes (I think) we looked comfortable with a plan and controlled every aspect.
Let's hope for a decent draw in round 2 and if we lose, so what!

Kane, Kasumu, Sorensen.....all had great games. Some people just love a moan on here, it never changes. Anyone whose first reaction after that game is to criticise will never be happy. We weren’t perfect and could have been more clinical but a 3-0 win with solid performances all round is all I need to come away from a game in a good mood. On to Saturday and for the first time in years I’m confident, we could be in for a fun season here. |

We've just won 3 nil with utter dominance and I've seen less negativity at the wrong end of a magnet. Unbelievable. I'm surprised many fans actually enjoy watching us.
Fair enough if we'd lost. Have a moan. That would be understandable.

Very professional performance, from what I’ve seen of the new signings they all look very good. Headley was excellent also.
I do however feel it’s one season too many for Hogg, great servant but things just seem to grind to a halt when he receives the ball.

Thoroughly professional performance. We only really went at it with real intensity for a couple of short spells, otherwise it was all about control. Scored 3, missed a couple of sitters, hit the post, and a couple of shouts for penalties. But also conserved energy, rested players at sensible times, and no injuries or suspensions. In spite of targeted criticism at some, nobody had a bad game. Headley was excellent, and along with Sorensen man of the match. Iorpenda also impressive. Kane enjoyable too.

I've gotta say, I'm really enjoying watching us this season. Duff really has implemented a game plan, we're still disjointed at times and it's understandable given the amount of time he's been here. But I just feel something special is on the horizon.

2-0 away at Peterborough - over by half time.
3-0 in EFL cup. Over at half time.
I love the control and the dominance but where’s the excitement…
Seriously though. Tonight made me think we need to continue to dominate games to the point that there seems to be an inevitability that we’ll score and then defend the lead or go on and score more. . The last two games have given me confidence that’s possible with the obvious additions.
But to win league one you need to be circa 100 points and total dominance is what it will take almost every game.
Good early signs though

Kane is genuine quality, honestly don’t think we’ve had a player in midfield since Mooy that I’m comfortable getting a ball fired to and then being able control it and link up play… I think he could be for us what Bannen is to Wednesday |

Some fantastic football and performances. Delighted for Marshall. Kasumu and Headley unplayable... outstanding.
Kane just pulling the strings, wonderful through ball to JK.
He didn't score, but at least JK was in the right areas and forcing mistakes.
Let's truly get behind them on Saturday... something special is being built here.

Koroma might have missed some tonight but his movement and positional sense is so much better than Ward. People sometimes forget it’s his movement and pace which earn him his chances, I’d rather have that than Kian Harratt and Danny Ward type strikers who mince around doing very little in reality
