Duff praised him in his post-match, so he doesn't think so. But you know best. You must have been absolutely apoplectic when he scored tonight. Others have said Ward was garbage tonight. I'll await your posts having a pop at them.

Negative Ninnies: stick it up your cakehole tonight. Our second team walked past poor opposition fine, we missed a few chances but the game was over by then.
If this is Duffball, keep serving it up please. Not often we win our first two games of the season, progress into the second round of the league cup, score five and concede zilch in the process.

It's called delusion. Ward was garbage. You’ve been following Town long enough to know that ultimately it’s all about goals and wins. You can stay a curmudgeon or contrarian if you prefer.

I've always said that Headley is a baller, for me he is easily our most underrated player and today he looked absolutely class.
When I first saw Marshall I thought he would be bullied mercilessly and that crunching tackle on him I thought had snapped him in half. From that point however he got up and played excellently. He had a cracking debut.
I feel for Koroma, such a confidence player and today won't have done him much good.

Wouldn’t say anyone really played poorly today. But yes they looked a poor side.Herbie Kane looks a very good player, for me I prefer watching his type of midfielder than an evans or a wiles who will get more of the plaudits from goals and assists. He’s going to have to work his way in seemingly though. Seems to be competition for places which as long as duff can manage that is absolutely a good thing. Koroma should have 2 though, first one decent effort after a brilliant ball, the one on one, well you have to score them. Headaches to pick the team again saturdat maybe. Good win.

I think an adqministrator should not be taking pops at a poster unless the post is in breach of the rules. Doesn't look good, to me anyway.

Is that two over the bar and and an absolute gobber for Koroma since he came on? And one off the inside of the post Gotta feel for the lad sat behind me... had a bet on minimum corners (10) and goals (4) in the game 💀💀💀

From other games tonight Tom Ince scored a hattrick, Will Boyle scored and Luke Mbete scored an own goal And Ben Jackson got the winner for Barrow vs Port Vale. Perhaps more importantly for us - Eccleston got a run out in the second half.

Personally don't think you should take a pop at the admins unless you've already volunteered to be one! If you have, then fair play.

I know Morecambe weren't up to much tonight, but the way he played I can't believe a Championship side didn't snap him up this summer. He's far too good for this level on that showing.

He was class, so far looks to be Champ material, hopefully makes it with us for season 25/26. Liked the look of Miller on Sat too. What a change some real competition for places makes.

Men vs Boys but a good performance, some good football at times, the only complaint about tonight is the blank 2nd half but another game to gel and get some understanding, confidence. Good night all round.

Yes it’s early days but I truly believe duffman will take us straight back to the championship
Harratt will be loaned out soon to a league 2 club Que of clubs want Iorpenda including some in our division but duff wants him around Pat Jones also likely to get loaned out.

Without wanting to repeat some comments regarding the lack of quality/effort etc of some town players [insert names here]. It was so great to hear Duff giving instructions from the technical area, seeing them being implemented and then watching them being executed and effective. We’ve a great crop of players and although limited in depth in some areas I feel we’ve enough, although let’s see how the transfer window plays out, players to implement Duffs tactics. Finally a proper manager. Bit drunk. Hah.

Iorpenda did really well tonite......may need a loan but right now looks like he can genuinely compete to play week in week out. Better than kasumu on the night for me but all opinions.

It’s not very often I agree with htafcokay but I’m with him on this one. Not a fan of Ward and think he’s been stealing a wage from us for too long. I would be happy if he didn’t play another game for us as it would also mean our other strike options are doing well.
