Very professional performance, from what I’ve seen of the new signings they all look very good. Headley was excellent also. I do however feel it’s one season too many for Hogg, great servant but things just seem to grind to a halt when he receives the ball. Must have watched a different game, Hogg played more first time forward passes tonight than I've seen him play for the last five years.

Surprised again that there's negative comments after a win. Very professional performance and never in any danger, that's what you want when you should win a game, win it comfortably, and we did.
Thought Sorensen was superb, really impressed with Iorpenda as well thought they were the best 2 players in the first half. Headley, Kasumu and Marshall all played really well.
With regards to Koroma, yes he definitely should have had at least 1 but, he kept getting in to positions and kept shooting and running at players, he didn't hide when players often do when they miss a couple of chances. The time to worry is when he's not even having a shot. Comments about his body language are ridiculous and probably from the same people who said Billing was lazy despite him covering more ground and making more tackles than any other player when he was here, they seem to see how someone walks and make a decision on a player from that it's weird.
2 games in to the season, 2 very comfortable wins, 5 goals could have been plenty more and no goals conceded. Be happy, it's going well so far.

Paid $14.95 to BeinSport for the game but they failed to show it. Anyway most of the highlights are here
Well done Town.

Safe to say that Koroma has not enhanced his reputation. Did he ever have one (apart from being a mardy so and so)

Duff praised him in his post-match, so he doesn't think so. But you know best. You must have been absolutely apoplectic when he scored tonight. His finish was sublime. Premier league quality. You are having a fucking laugh arent you - Ward is dogshit ! - hopefully a benchwarmer or dressing room tidy uperer for the rest of the season now we have Marshall. Better still pay him off and get rid - offer him a bag of golf balls and a lifetime membership at a golf course far away and hopefully he will be off.

I think an adqministrator should not be taking pops at a poster unless the post is in breach of the rules. Doesn't look good, to me anyway. Oh I agree. I haven’t been an admin for two years!

Just listened to Duffs interview, anyone get the impression he wasn’t too happy with the turnout and performance of the crowd today?
Mentioned how good we were last week, but hopes with good performances the crowd will also turn up.

You're not going to get many more than 5,111 turning up for a First Round tie in the League Cup against Morecambe. A decent home draw, against a side that will bring more a few fans, will probably see the crowd double.

The tie was never appealing. Yeah more noise would've been nice, but a small crowd all in 1 stand with a comfortable win in a tie we were expected to win against a small team from a lower division was never going to lead to much atmosphere. Saturday will undoubtedly be better.
Oh and random thought, I'm sure Tog said the ticket office was open post match, but unless I wasn't looking properly, it wasn't open

Agree 100%.the last couple of seasons he has driven me mad with how if a forward pass is on he will take the easy option and go sideways or backwards.Ok coming on last night it was notable(and fairly obvious) that he wanted to get on the ball and play forward, between morcambe players to get Kane and wiles on the ball for the most part sometimes koroma. There was some nice one touch stuff in the midfield at times it just fell down once in the final third a bit with the final pass not hitting its target. It’s likely duff instilling that they can play those passes when in tne opposition half and not to worry if it’s given away because we will get it back. That was exaggerated last night as we won it back from morcambe so easily.

Good performance last night against a limited side.
I really hope we don’t have to rely on Ward, Koroma and Harratt too much this season though.

We played well. Although it's difficult to read anything into it. They made eight changes and were garbage. I agree. Eight changes from ourselves too and the way we dominated shows some squad depth, good to see Marshall get a goal and assist. Players approached the match in the right way, you can only beat whats in front of you and Morecambe's eleven were worse everywhere last night than Town. The game was over in the first minute. A moral boosting performance and scoreline from a side that has had some low points at home this last 24 months.

He won’t play enough games I don’t think. He’s a this stage simply a decent option to have,I think calling him garbage is a bit much but everyone has different view points. If we were to get Taylor in there is also the arguement of does he make the bench? At the risk of been hypothetical let’s say Taylor does come,he’s going to start games.Likely paired with Healey most games.Marshall then takes a spot on the bench you would think so judging by Saturday having 2 strikers on there it’s between koroma and ward for the other bench spot. On a side note folk suggesting we need wing back backup on the right hand side,I think we can safely say Kasumu is that option and a decent one too,if anything he looks more comfortable there than in midfield, wonder if he eventually is converted full stop like Sorensen.

Turton wasn't that bad? Poor old Hoggy doesn't fit this style of play, poor bugger trying to hit passes on the first touch went as expected....Koroma tries, I'll give him that! Harratt invisible and probably not going to make it here. Love Turton's character and effort, but very limited and usually has to take several touches to control the ball. when the ball is fired in at him at 200mph from Pearson five yards away, yea he does have to take an extra touch.

I know it was Morecambe but I don't think many EFL teams would have coped playing us last night. It was an excellent performance.

Really nice to see Hedley has found some confidence, his performance last night was outstanding, don't know what's happened, maybe new manager maybe distanced from bad eggs. Long may it continue.UTT.

There is always narrative though, such as comments above about Hogg,I agree in that previously he labours on the ball and rarely passes forward but if you watch a game for the actual game and don’t have any pre conceived notions of this or that it’s amazing what you actually see.

But he doesn't. He got three in a whole season last season. He constantly misses chances, and offers very little on the pitch whenever he's on it. That's why people think he's poor.

Just watched the highlights and Danny Ward looks to have taken young Marshall under his wing. They looked to have a real togetherness after their two goals. Marshall's pass for Ward's goal was excellent, it was still a difficult chance for Ward but his positioning and Marshall seeing the pass was the first time I have seen two Town strikers playing off each other like that for a long, long time. Also Marshall's persistence winning the ball back before his run and pass, plus his calm finish for his goal. Great to see.

Mentioned how good we were last week, but hopes with good performances the crowd will also turn up. Yes I got the same distinct impression, maybe wrong of course. I think what he has to realise is that we've been subjected to extremely poor football and failure, for a number of seasons now, and people had just given up on the club to some degree. The mentality shift takes time. We're never going to pull big numbers in against Morecombe, but i hope a fair few extra will buy tickets for saturday.
