‘But still needs to find a way to be a good influence if he doesn’t’ is that a direct quote? Quite an interesting one if so. Don’t know if I got it word for word correct but pretty much what he said yes.I’d have to watch back to check Just looked…I’m sad!He said “and he can lead by example, and he doesn’t always have to be on the pitch to do that!he’s getting to an age where, whether he likes it or not he’s not going to be able to play every minute of every game.but he can still have an influence on the whole football club”

Besides Hoggy and Nicholls no one seems to do any shouting the communication on the pitch seems poor. I don’t think that will be the case.in any team iv played in the higher level you play virtually everyone talks constantly it’s just some are much more vocal with it.There will be some that maybe are quiet but most will be as vocal as is required iv no doubt. despite coming across as a quiet lad, Kane is vocal on the pitch, noticed this pre season.

Interesting to hear duff also say many good things about hoggy but also stress that at his age he can’t play every minute of every game but still needs to find a way to be a good influence if he doesn’t. Wonder if that’s a pre cursor to him sitting Saturday out. Think it's a precursor to him not playing more regularly full stop. It's known that he expects to be playing and other managers haven't left him out. For me Duff is saying it in the nicest way, he's bulling him up and praising him but giving him a dignified reason publicly. About time that we had a manager who sees the same things as us. Last week we did well, played ourselves into a 3-0 lead (not saying we played bad because we didn't) but the football when Hogg went off was so much more fluid and the pressing was immense.

It would be nice though. It hasn't happened very often in the last decade. When was the last time Town scored 5 in a league match? It was more of a reference to when that Saturday game was abandoned at half time due to advertising hoarding blowing into the Town fans and the Town fans were singing that Northampton was falling down etc …. Funny at the time but guess you had to be there. I was there, remember Boothy queuing up with the regular away fans to get in. Wild weather. The advertising board came down a few rows in front of me, it was from the front of the roof. What really made the refs mind up was when the boards round the sides of the pitch were being flipped over onto the playing area or just adjacent. I couldn't make the rescheduled evening match due to work commitments so didn't see us turn the fixture round to win it over '2 legs'.

yeah - awesome stuff. We are not far off a full strength squad......which is rare in Town ! I felt awkward writing it, just in case I jinx it lol Oh aye. Look out for three injuries now in the warm up…..

I live in Spain these days but I'm over for tomorrow's match. The last game I attended was the 4-0 win over Wednesday last year when I walked out thinking we were pretty certain to stay up. What would have happened if we'd stuck with Worthy? Anyway, going for another 4-0 tomorrow and a few more Koroma goals. A confidence player who is currently overflowing with it.

Predicted:
—————————-Nicholls ——————-Lees - Helik - Lonwijk Sorensen - Wiles - Hogg - Evans - Headley ———————-Koroma - Marshall
Would love to see Bojan or Ladapo start to see how they link up with JK but I think Duff will more than likely stick with this squad. He mentioned he wants to create competition, if you play well you keep your place etc.
Would also love to see Kane involved, he’s looked excellent in the little minutes he’s had.
3-0 town.

Whilst I fully expect the same 11 as last week bar Headley for Miller, I’d personally put Kane in for Hogg on this one knowing Hogg shouldn’t be playing Saturday Tuesday Saturday .
Also be interesting to see how we rotate strikers over the coming three games , particularly if we take a 2-0 lead tomorrow .
3-1 Town - Marshall , Wiles and Ladapo

Even the Wednesday win we were shit the majority of the game, even the 20 minute scoring spell we weren't great, Wednesday just collapsed. There's no way (IMO) that squad would have kept that momentum up to the end of the season, they were already flagging. I guess we'll never know; he probably wouldn't have been as bad as Breitenshiter turned out to be, but I think his early momentum had already disappeared.

I think we need to take our rose tinted magoo's off for a minute. Last time we predicted we were gonna shoe a team we stumbled to a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury.
Feet firmly planted on the floor for me, I think we will win but probably 1 or 2-0

Where abouts are you Metch? I'm always over May/June so missed being at the last two play off finals. I've been quite prepared to fly back for a couple of days, but I never fancied the journey back to Spain if we'd lost. After the Schindler wonder pen I went down to one of the main areas for bars/restaurants in my Town t-shirt but didn't come across any fellow terriers.

In a place called Sitio de Calahonda between Fuengirola and Marbella, I've been here two years but I haven't met a Town fan yet, plenty of Leeds fans though. Where are you? But currently at my Dad's in Brighouse!

We'll never know but momentum counts for alot in those situations and it was sucked out of us after the Watford game Completely agree that momentum counts for a lot, as proved by Ipswich and Wrexham recently. But that's what I mean when I say it seemed like the momentum from his initial games had dissipated, if not quite completely gone. After seeing what Breitenshiter served up I wish we'd kept Worthy too, I just don't think he'd have kept us up. Not because of HIS worth or ability, purely because of the way the squad we had had rolled over previously. Every teeny-tiny setback seemed to suck the life/ability/belief out of our players. Myself and a few others have constantly said from the end of the season that these players got away with a lot of blame for some reason, when they were the constant through the shit (and better) managers. We've even seen it this season where a little setback sees our players fold, blowing 2 goal leads against 10 men, etc. Would have loved it if Worthy had stayed on AND kept us up, but I think his rightful place is with the kids. My boss' cousin only signed for us a couple month ago and Hassan loves Worthy already

Another game im fairly confident we'll win, although the last two home games were narrow victories where i was happy to hear the full time whistle, i'd be perfectly happy with 1-0 but winning by more is on the cards taking last weeks performance into account, still, another day another game so who knows.

Agree with this Mosher, much as I love Worthy too, he had a free hit there, knew he was in for a few games, couldn't lose by letting the reins off but I highly doubt he would've tried those tactics if he knew he was there for the season.

Hogg should not be playing full stop! Rubbish Totally, ex Town players laugh at some of the comments regarding Hogg, its like when you played against ex pros in the local leagues how good they were but no one on the touchline watching would notice. I'm not sure who (if anyone) has got more PL/Championship minutes than Hogg in L1 but I don't see a player better in this league yet, even at St Andrews......Lets hope Kane & Hodge get close when given the chance when MD gives his captain a rest.
