‘IMG have a 12-year strategic partnership with Super League and the Rugby Football League to "reimagine Rugby League and its competitions in the UK".’ Reimagine it into not sport. For it to be sport, a team’s position needs to be decided on the field of play. I read that as “IMG have a 12 year strategic partnership with RL to fleece as much money as they can from the dopey executives who run the game.” Mind you, I’ll bet those execs will be getting some decent ‘benefits’ during that 12 year period. |
