Might be a controversial one this but…
…we do miss Ward’s hold up play

Surely Duff has to ditch 352 now. It's just so easy to play against. 3 5 2 is only useful when you have pacy centre backs who feel comfortable being drawn out to cover the wingbacks, and a midfield who can pass a ball. Nullify the wingbacks and we have fuck all, can't lump it up to anyone. Rather watch Phil Schofield hopefully get eaten on that embarassment of a TV show. Get him in as Captain, as he could teach the youngsters a thing or two about keeping it solid in behind.

Barnsley is massive now. Duff needs a win.
Somehow we're still only 3 points off 4th place. So however bad it's been the season is well and truly still on.

Quite a tough watch, albeit away at a team who is going to walk the league.
I thought for the most part we defended pretty well, although our lack of pace at the back was pretty painful to watch particularly in the first half and in the run up to the goal. I think the back five were all a solid 7/10. Plenty of commitment there and I think Chapman can hold his head high.
But really we didn't create anything going forward. I was hoping we might nick something on the break if only to shut up the cringeworthy Birmingham commentators. But really we didn't even come close to creating anything. I think Birmingham looked very comfortable on the ball, and played through us fairly easily without actually creating lots of chances.
Hopefully though it's a sign we can dig in against Barnsley at home and get something. I don't think anyone else has half the quality of Birmingham.

There wont be more than 12k there on sat - wiles, evans, kasumu tonite - absolute garbage. Cant pass a ball between them. As for ladapo - if we were monitoring during the summer then cartwright wants shooting. What were we monitoring? Hes worse than jon newby! To be honest the football side of the club is an embarrassment full stop right now. Don't agree with that. He broke up loads of play. He's not great on the ball but for me he was one of our better players on the night.

Ladapo was an absolute disgrace. A proper carthorse and the signing that should seal Cartwright’s fate. Bojan might not have been great but he was busting a gut and leading the press. I was actually impressed with him tonight, he put himself about more than we've seen so far. You missed the winky face emoji to show you were taking the piss/being ironic. Weren't you?

Disgusting.
The entire clubs riddled with failure, still. Nothings changed, Kevin Nagles taken a Championship club and placed it into League one and we’re currently on a feckless run of results watching a fucking god awful spectacle. We’ve been abysmal in nearly every game, I don’t connect with any of these players, i dont connect with the owner who I thinks a charlatan and I don’t connect with this club anymore. It’s defeat after defeat.
Watching that second half was like watching a football being thrown into a fenced off play ground full of 7 year olds, all we did was run about chasing the ball.
As for Freddie Ladapo, he looks like he’s won a competition on the back of a box of cereal to be a professional footballer. That signing alone shows me how well this football club is run. Failed to sign the right men so we pretended we were always going to sign this lad.
The whole mindset of the football club is terrible, the attitude of the players is terrible and we are being run just as such. We have no soul, no fight, no passion, no flare.

Do you think we can send Evans back to Bristol Rovers under the trade descriptions act?
Money back inside 90 days?

I think that could be it for Duff. I get our record is absolutely dogshit. But we can’t just keep blaming this on the gaffer. Sacking another on the hope we snag a miracle worker somewhere. I can’t see another manger getting a tune out of this squad consistently. I'd stick with Duff but admit the recruitment is deficient and has not attracted or identified significant quality.

I’ve gone through both games and not even realised he was playing. Yet he continues to pick him. Hodge was head and shoulders above everybody else in one game and hasn’t started since.

Didn’t deserve owt tonight. Played alright for 20 minutes but as soon as Birmingham sussed us out it was a comfortable night for them and should have won by a bigger margin. I can’t see any difference to last season, we’re still painful to watch in possession and we’re poor defensively. I worry for Duff if he doesn’t get a win on Saturday. Nagle was very clear in the summer that promotion was the aim and we look miles off a side that is capable of that. Promotion? Town will genuinely by lucky to avoid relegation

Wow..
That’s probably the most one sided 1-0 I’ve ever seen..
Like watching a non league team playing away to a championship club in the FA cup.. but without the effort..
Dykes. Their 3rd choice striker..did more in 10 minutes than radulovic or “we’ve been tracking him all summer “ ladapo..
They were calm and composed on the ball. Confident at playing out from the back.. had lots of movement off the ball and passing options for the man in possession..
I sincerely hope mr nagle was watching the game and was embarrassed as I was ..
We are a feckin shambles of a football team..

He’s persisting with a formation that would’ve been perfect with a back 3 of Balker, Helik, Spencer. Suddenly we’ve got the OAPs trying to play it in Lees, Pearson etc, truly embarrassing.

Pretty much playing a top half championship squad tonight. Behave. They’re a level above us, but let’s not get carried away. How many £20m strikers are there in the Championship?

Laughable that some thought we would be going toe to toe with Brum. Town are light years off. Wiles is so poor, please stop playing him. Lees is past it. Where is Kane? Injured I'm assuming. Having the same spine of the team as last year is absolutely killing us.

Absolutely sickening this. We are playing Birmingham City, Peterborough went at them and scored twice. Why are we so afraid to attack? Sitting in our own half all game waiting for may to score, pathetic. Where was the response? There wasn't one. Absolutely none existent midfield. No pressing, no urgency. Give iorpenda a game! Start hodge! Ladapo is a pathetic choice of a striker to bring in. We were promised an overhaul. We are still playing laboured football full of statues. Fuck off Cartwright. Agree with all this. Evans and Wiles are really starting to piss me off now, look decent first 20/30 mins then they go missing every single game & have terrible body language. They’re either unfit or have the heart of a flea, most likely both. We have no pace. The panic signings of Radulovic & Healey were bad but the signing of Ladapo on a 2 year contract is the final straw. Cartwright is destroying this club, get him gone right now or the fans will really start to turn

Lack of quality (that's a fault of recruitment), lack of confidence and it adds up to another season of mediocrity, at best. Mr Nagle wanted a promotion team. We've just played one, we have all seen the difference. It really is as simple as that I'm afraid. Mr Nagle needs a reality check and if he's serious about this club progressing he needs to make changes because we are miles away from where we need to be. I would add that some, Kasumu, Miller especially and couple of others put a shift in but if you don't have composure, quality and personality you aren't winning many games. You certainly aren't winning against teams with real investment and intent. Kevin M Nagle the worst American owner in League One. I say that not as a an insult, but a statement of fact He's clueless, and I don't really mean that in a nasty way. He genuinely has no idea what he's doing, he's employed a complete fucking charlatan to run things and he is based thousand of miles away.

It's absolutely pathetic and it's worrying as to just were the fuck we are going as a club. All this off the field investment won't be worth a toss unless changes are made and quick, god knows we're the next points are coming from as you just cannot see anything in this team but loss after loss it's shite.

Tough watch that second half. I think we put far more effort in than the weekend but came up against a far more competent opponent. Birmingham moved the ball and exposed us time and time again. I couldn't understand why we tried to play at the same pace though. Once the momentum is in their favour why not slow the game down? The two most technically proficient players were missing until Hodge came on (I'm counting Kane as the other) and not getting Lasse and Mikkel up the field stopped any chance of anything being created. Too big an ask when playing that formation for them to get up and down to be of any use in a game like that. There's no one there to hold the ball up but it was persistent long ball forward after 1 or 2 passes. Duff needs to take a long hard look at himself and become more flexible or he'll be out.
