Didn't get beyond half time in this one. Had some essential DITS to do. But looked a nailed on 0-0 to me anyway. Never looked in any real danger of conceding, but then again, although we had shots on goal, their keeper didn't make any saves I wouldn't expect any reasonable keeper to make. We still looked scrappy passing and receiving to me, though light years away from our recent diabolical performances. Here's hoping we continue to improve after the international break....!!!

My son has moved to Totnes this year. At least 2 Town fans in Devon.👍 Totnes is quite quaint in its own way. Don't forget Sugy in Paignton too. Totnes is very “alternative”. My wife loves it as she’s a vegetarian!

You need something like 90+ corners to score a goal on average. Him isolating their full back in a one on one should have a higher potential XG if he had the balls to actually try and beat him rather than just kicking it straight at him. I thought Sorensen would be far better than Miller. It's actually the other way around with Miller being one of our stand out players and showing real confidence when running at defenders I was being a bit sarcastic. He couldn't beat the first man with any of his crosses. i I believe I said exactly the same thing about him during the pre season games.

Duff and us fans learnt a lot today I reckon. My 2pence fwiw Chapman has promise. Some fine kicks that actually found men. Miller is excellent at this level. Fight & determination. Exactly what was needed today. Helped set the tone. Is he in the senior leadership group - he should be based on how he plays. League one in general plays to Pearson’s strengths. He is worthy of a run in the side. Excellent attitude today. - Just keep passing it to.. Spencer - that’s his position & he MUST make himself available for the ball from Pearson, because he’s a good footballer & he started countless attacks today with.. Sorensen - Looked like he could’ve been the best wing back of league one last year again today but so much credit to Spencer - how he took it forward and used Lasse was excellent. This lad looks a big confidence player to me.. if we start havung more attacking possesion we’ll see the best of him. Nigel: Solid performance and can get better Kasumu: needs to be told that’s your position now for the season. Super performance full of confidence - exactly what was needed. That’s as well as I’ve seen him use the ball I think and his running and tackling was typically strong. Top lad is David. I hope he gets an injury free run in this side in this position. Wiles. This lad is still an enigma. Is he asthmatic? Why is he always seemingly gasping for breath? Is it just me that sees that. Maybe it’s just how he is. The fact is he has genuine quality in his boots. He delivered quality, well thought out crosses, passes and well he has goals in him.. around the edge of the box he’s extremely capable. How long has it been since we had a goal scoring midfielder. That was a goal of the season contender due to the move imo. Fitness & self belief come hand in hand imo. Hodge: I like this signing. Hes small but mobile. He reads play well and he’s a positive player who wants to get onto the front foot. Could be a key player in an attacking side.. Marshall: a professional hard working performance. Radu: Deserves a chance. Can he stay fit and get used the physicality because there’s a player in there I think. Ladapo: I couldn’t actually believe my eyes with his little Cameo. Showed some superb touches the goal but in and around link up, won headers.. clearly wasn’t/isn’t still match fit but if that’s him getting match fit then we’ve got a chance with him. Looked a threat. Added something. As did.. Herbie Kane: lovely touch skill and balance for the goal and he just looked a very good footballer in his small cameo.. Can we please try and keep these players, injury free, training and playing together consistently for a few games now because this is still league one.. We ain’t playing top championship sides every week.. who even is it up next Mansfield.. I reckon Duff will be buzzing after that showing and hopefully we can kick on now.. none of us want to be depressed by Town. Carry on playing like that and see what’s happens to the crowd and the noise at the mighty HTAFC... E I E I E I O… UTT Sorensen did well in the air defensively but otherwise I thought he was poor again. Some awful passes and continues to just blast at the defender stood in front of him instead of trying to work a yard space before crossing it. Certainly nowhere near the player I thought we would be getting. Peltier was a far better player if you compare to our side the last time we were at this level I would have to incline to agree on this one, did well to get into some good space but could never give off that final pass or cross. I’m pretty sure he was the answer to all the corners we had !

Sorensen seems like a confidence player to me. He was flying at the start of the season and I think he’ll come good again - Spencer overlapping helps give him options so that’s vital.

Hopefully be the start of something much better but only ONE conclusion is acceptable promotion. Settling for less will not do especially as Mr Nagle is buying the stadium and I assume spending a small fortune on the team. Mediocrity is ok for that's entertainment prawn sandwich brigade but real fans want to see graft and passion not excuses from anybody. There are actually an admittedly small number of town fans who dont want to be successfull, they've admitted as much, premier league not for them, dont want to go anywhere near it, much rather bob around the lower leagues. Im realistic enought to know its miles away at the moment but i still want it to happen (championship then prem), dont know why some folk bother. True and the problem with that is clubs with no, graft, passion and most importantly ambition can and do go out of business. The real fans know you can't just a magic wand but they expect the club/manager/team to give all they can for a club they love and pay hard earned money to watch. The day football or any other sport becomes just entertainment is the day that sport dies.

A shout out to the fans in the south stand. I got pelted with what I think was only Coke a cola but glass bottles and flares were being thrown. Disgusting behaviour from the dingles. Hope everyone went home unscathed UTFT What a bunch of bell ends them Barnsley scrotes were after the game. Soon has they got outside they were casing problems and one of them threw a smoke bomb in to the Town fans going up the ramp. Gobbing it off all the way to Leeds Road just a small group of about 20 aged 12 -16 and just 3 Police trying to control them and it look like a large group of Town fans were waiting for them up Northumberland st as we walked on Southgate. If it’s the young ones we saw right in the top corner of the away end then o know what you mean. Absolute cards. No need for it. Think they’d have been the same if they’d won tbh.

The outdoor markets quite good though, picked up a smart leather jacket for a tenner there. I imagine half their customers were vegan and wouldn't touch leather.

A handful of their neanderthal boys were pushing the cops around ... wish the police had sorted em out 🤬 The moment you lay a hand on a police officer you should expect to be put down. You’ve lost any argument from that point.

Brodie rcb helik/Pearson central Nigel Lcb
This must be the starters at the back, lees needs to be a back up now id say.
Hodge needs to play, he’s always on the half turn looking to start things and I think Sorensen really benefitted from that too

It was great to see Town fans smiling again coming out of the ground, that was until fans were walking straight in to the Barnsley scrotes. That must be the youngest mob of louts i have seen at Town, surely the Police knew what to expect because that was just luck it didn't kick off.

Let's also not assume everything is as bad either. I agree; let's assume everything is middling! 5 wins, 5 defeats and 0 draws suggests exactly that.

Spencer had a great game yesterday, can't understand any negatives at all. He can time his tackle brilliantly and as has already been said, he was the perfect partner for Sorenson. That is 100% his best position for me.

I know we've got our problem "fans" but blaming us when they were chucking projectiles etc is a bit rich.

I was firmly in the Corberan camp, what he did with an inherited squad of average players then adding journeymen and lower league signings and moulding them into a genuinely good side (we finished third) was remarkable, a bad taste was left in the mouth when he left but we cant do much about that, he made a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Yeah I agree with that, he’s a talent. Considering how young he still is, he’s one of a few who could help us climb the leagues. Edit: I agree he is an orthodox full back, rather than a right side of a three but I think he’s good enough at this level that he gets away with it.

Hopefully this is the start of the momentum coming back for us. Bit more confidence around the playing squad. Ladapo looked alright, very good to see him involved in the lead up to Wiles goal.
I didn't give us much of a chance, so coming away with a clean sheet, 2 very decent strike and we were the better team overall and deserved the result.
Need the striker to start chipping with goals now

Enjoyed the chant of 'He gets the ball and does fuck all, Herbie Herbie Kane' leading him to tee up Wiles for the opener.
Nearly as much as the 'Der der der der der der der Kasumu, der der der derde der'

Yep, completely agree, what he did with that squad was bordering on genius. Doesn't change the style of football being turgid though
