Not confident at all. I've seen us win once in six years and am going to this one. This describes most season ticket holders! 😂

I think any team would have run out of steam, we were pressing like headless chickens, it was effective but unsustainable. They need to know when to press and when to sit. I thought it was telling that for all the pressing we barely intercepted a pass. Under Wagner we pressed effectively. Almost got us a couple of goals iirc so it wasn't all ineffective. You do see teams play like that for ninety minutes. Wagner's team never seemed to run out of steam. Bielsas Leeds team played at a ridiculous pace for 90 minutes. Bielsa's Leeds teams were absolutely f**ked at the end of every season. No coincidence that they finally went up in the covid season that effectively had a massive mid season break

Hoping the best as ever, fearful for the worst. Dread to think what the atmosphere will be like if we go in at h/t 2-0 down.

Need a team that’s going to take it to Barnsley from the off . Start cautiously and they’ll grow into the game and probably do us 2 or 3 looking at their scoring record .
Chapman
Spencer Pearson Lonwijk Miller
Kasumu Hogg Evans
Marshall Radulovic Koroma (sorensen if not fit and flip wings)
Inverted wingers to let Kasumu and Miller get down the side with Hogg tucking in to make a back 4 if needed . Hoggy in for derby day grit and use Kasumu and Evans as box to boxes. 60 mins in swap for hodge Kane and wiles with ladapo and Sorenson also available off bench .

On players endurance. You can see tablets on small stands in the dugouts, players data being analysed during the game to check I assume, on distance covered etc. this surely adds to the pressure players are already under to perform. The introduction of technology has made what was an Art into a Science...

I'm getting less impressed with Evans....watched him closely at Brum and he's turning into another Wiles..always running into 'safe' areas while pointing at everyone else..never gets close to a tackle as he always 'shadows'...doesn't have much composure. It's frightening we've now got two Wiles in the midfield..

Potential to be a great derby win, potential to be an atmosphere more toxic than Chernobyl if we lose. Either way an interesting game.

Ben Wiles still refuses to hand over the compromising photos he has of someone high up at the club.

That team has a lot more pace and energy than previous lineups. I actually quite like it

3-5-2 it is again. Duff keen to stick to his principles even when it could be costly.
Good to see Hodge in there though. Can’t see where the goals are coming from though.

Just thinking that we now have two mobile centre halfs in Lonwijk and Spencer to cover the channels, and Hodge and Kasumu will provide more energy than Hogg/Evans in the midfield

What happened to Iorpenda being a squad member this season? Is he injured?
Or does Duff simply prefer to rotate the same 5 midfielders in the hope that one of them does something that might impact a game positively for a change?

How does Wiles keep his place. The bloke is rubbish I think Wiles and Evans are two very similar players - midfielders with a goal in them, that have quality but fail to impose themselves on the game for large periods. Having one of the two in there is fine as they have been our main source of goals this season. Having both of them playing is when our midfield starts to go missing as we have no control in the middle of the park IMO

How does Wiles keep his place. The bloke is rubbish When MD mentions the word 'soft underbelly' Wiles is the 1st name that comes to mind...... Its another set of three at the back & in the middle to try out, a merry-go-round, who's next?

Basically zero attacking options from the bench if it isn't working

Great to see Hodge start and Lees dropped deservedly. But where are the goals coming from? I look at that and see Pearson as only our only threat (hope we get a few corners and set pieces)

Basically zero attacking options from the bench if it isn't working I don't see many credible attacking options in the starting line up either 🤦♂️

I’ve heard the Barnsley players have been told they have 4 days off next week if they beat us.

Good to see Kane back in the squad. Bit worried our top scorer is out and the others haven't exactly been firing or showing any signs of finding the goal. I would have put Evans in for Wiles purely down to his slightly better set piece delivery. Let's get behind them today forget about the shit over the last couple of weeks and give the lads some belief. 2-1 home win. UTT

Disappointed that Wiles is in there but at least there's some mobility in there alongside him with Hodge and Kasumu.
Pleased there's some pace behind both wing-backs as well.

Even in the warm up they look more focussed than us. We look very pedestrian I always notice this too. The opposition zip it about in the passing drills so much slicker than us, but that’s unsurprising as we don’t have much quality.
