Cant see him going to be honest, the guy has said he hasnt applied. Fazackerley has gone from there too. Thing with LC and he come out with this before, in 16 years as a pro footballer he played only for 3 clubs so stays loyal and I do believe he wants to get this club up and move it forward. Not leaving im my opinion!

I think LC will stay he has already said as much. Jumping ship is not an option I think he will consider...... he has too much integrity for that.

Clark, imo, hasn't said he will stay, he has said he won't apply. That's different in my eyes.
I think he could go and by not applying he is ensuring the club would get a pay out if he did go. Thats how I see it though but I could be way off the mark.
My Foxes mate doesn't want him untill he has won a promotion with another club.

I would take it, if offered; if I were Clark. His reputation after leaving here would be good (rightly or wrongly) and he would have the chance to take a club to the PL and spend loads of cash, which hw obviously enjoys. If he fails and gets sacked by Leicester next summer his reputation will be in tact, as.long as he doesnt mess it up completely, and *everyone gets sacked unfairly by Leicester* so that another Championship job could be taken Should he stay and we fail to go up (a very real possibility - this is Town) he would probably be sacked by us, and.then where would he be...? A perfect opportunity for him to leave would be now. If he did leave, hopefully we wouldnt have any of this *first season not counting* nonsense and any new manager would be expected to take us up this season (much like at Leicester...) Time will tell... Everyone has a right to their opinion, but I honestly don't a agree with anything you have written. Not a single word.

I may be clutching at straws here but Leicester sacking his mate Faz surely wouldn't endear Clark to the job.

Skysports/skybet are the biggest rampers of manager betting markets going. Give it a day and Dale Tempest will be in the skysports news studio telling the world they have had a massive move for somebody after a rush of money at 25/1 and he is now 5/4 with them. Well anybody who knows skybet will tell you , you would struggle to get £20 on at 25/1 with them in these markets so it's not exactly going to be a 'rush of money'.
Best to completely ignore anything Dale Tempest says IMO

My opening line is "....If I were Lee Clark..." I am (obviously) not Lee Clark. If I were, those would be the thought processes running through my mind. Just as I have the same thoughts/ideas about my career and when/whether it is time for me to move on and the + and - of doing so You probably wouldn't agree with my rationale on the above, either, but there you go.

'If' he goes to Leicester I would be disappointed but it wouldn't be the end of the world. 2nd in the league with the squad, infrastructure and owner we've got there'd be a fair few decent managers that would come here.
That being said I wouldn't have thought Clark will be at the top of their wanted list. There's more chance of someone like Eddie Howe being offered the job.

Does anyone know where to lay Clark as their next manager? Looking at the HTAFC twitter feed and seeing that Clark's there for the open day today, posing for pictures with young supporters, plus the lengths he's gone to deny links with the job; surely it's a no-brainer.... he's staying!

Just can't see why him going to Leicester suddenly becomes this massive mistake. Better Salary, Money to spend. Great Support, Nice Ground and facilities, Good Squad and Great opportunity to progress to the Premier. Fuckin Disasterous.

Firstly Clark would never APPLY for the job - he's under contract here and only a complete twat would say he wanted to apply with the team where it is, the backing he has had.
BUT applying and being approached are 2 different things - I would guess with the media frenzy the Leicester owners would definately consider him, that means he might get APPROACHED.
Until he is APPROACHED none of you will know his true feelings as you're all guessing on his intentions - all this "he's going nowhere" is beyond laughable.
Have none of you been following football for more than 2 weeks? Loyalty has gone, players & management move like any other commodity - and we the fans have to live with it.
If LC isn't approached he will say things like "concentrating on HTFC" etc etc - because that's all he can say.
Can't fault the sentiments but statements like he's a man of honor etc etc - he owes DH etc etc - are just in fantasy land until an approach is made.

It will be the same brigade that thought Pilkington shoul have stayed "loyal", rather than bettering himself. Football is about Money and Success and has nothing to do with Loyalty. Ask Alan Smith.

If Leicester want him he will be off, and he'd be fairly daft not to. As much money as Deano is prepared to chuck at it im pretty sure they have more and combined with a bigger fanbase makes them a more appealing prospect.
Can't see them wanting him though, it would be fairly strange going from one of the biggest names in football to Clark.

I think Clark would be pretty daft to go to Leicester to be honest - he's achieved nothing here despite having clarte blanche to sign whoever he's wanted pretty much, been supported through a few ropey patches and 2 failed play off bids. The money men in charge of Leicester will not give him the same time as Deano has, he's going into a completely new environment, new players, and with the clock ticking as soon as he gets there. If he goes there and gets binned, then people will think he only did quite well here without achieving anything, which getting tremendous backing, and there will be massive question marks over his ability.
Some people might say 'what if he doesn't get us promoted and gets sacked at the end of the season'? I think Clark will back himself this season, it's his team and he must be confident after our start to finally get us over the line this season

Got to say this is a decent forum, lot of realistic people in here, the poster (koss?) that said, stranger things in football have happened pretty much is spot on.
One example; Big Ron, he had just achieved promotion and won the league cup with us, had the making of a really good side but he walked out on us for Aston Villa.
We did finish 3rd the following year (champions league place) in 92' but it was Big Rons side that did it.
I think Clark's already house hunting in Leicester, MON and their chairman wont get on imo, Clark looks a good bet.

First of all (off topic) your username? are you into MTB ing? just wondered lol. Secondly, Sligo rovers manager turned down a big move to high flying St Johnstone yesterday to stay loyal so there's still hope.
