Remember him at York, big strong lad. Bet he does not get 10 more goals in his career. ; ) Did you or did you not state that Alan Lee would not even have 10 more shots on goal a while back (and was proved wrong as he has had 11 at a ratio of 1 nearly every 2 games ). just realised you may have said "shots on target". in which case you may be right. Loved the off tangent musings when you started off earlier this year but in all honesty much preferred when you showed your true colours talking about the violence in days gone by. It must be difficult to maintain your alter ego.

Calm down. Hopefully he will do well but let's not get carried away before he's kicked a ball.

WHAT A SIGNING! I just leapt up at my desk, pumped my fists in the air and actually cheered. Had everyone looking at me in complete astonishment.
Just watch out for him and Kay round the Barnsley pubs with him coming this close to home.
One of my favourite non-Town players, should rip it up at League One level :-)

Calm down. Hopefully he will do well but let's not get carried away before he's kicked a ball. Dont be daft FA - thats far too sensible! If the lad comes in and does as well as Novak and Lee have done thus far this season then will be an excellent signing.....................just gotta keep jordan fit and firing thats all!! As another "big man" upfront, just hope we balance knocking it up to him with playing it into him equally. Too often we do too much of the former and Lee struggles a bit with this against the more robust teams in our division - will be interesting to see how Parkin does in that regard, particularly against Morrison on Mon and then Rob Jones at the Wendies!

Good signing. so glad Clarky has gone in for a seasoned pro and not an unproven pre starlet. He's a big old unit too and will do Alan Lees job only better.

Did we not once have a player with that name at Town in "nineteen hundred and frozen to death?"

From the way everyone's talking AL might struggle to get back in isnt AL out of contract this season? if so, you might not be too far wrong and parkin might be his replacement if he does well.

Good signing. Not sure he'll be banging in too many goals over the next two months, but he'll be a nightmare presence for defenders to deal with. He'll win plenty of headers and link play better than Lee, imo. Very good in the air and nigh on unplayable simply because he's such a big, powerful player.

I once met him in a club in Preston, seems a top bloke and only had good things to say about us when I spoke to him. He even said back then that he'd like to play for us, given the opportunity.

From a mate who is a Cardiff City season ticket holder:
"He's more skillful than you would imagine a big man to be but has never really had a decent crack with us - personally I'm convinced that the only reason we bought him was the fact that he had a habit of scoring against us" - sound familiar?
"Not sure about his fitness tbh as he hasn't played for us for a few months but he's more than your average big bruising centre forward to be fair...should do a good job for you I would have thought"
Sounds OK. Well done Lee Clark for sorting it so quickly.

Great signing and timing. He has a great attitude- excellent for a loan player as he will have a point to prove.
Seen him have some awesome performances for Preston the year before last, including that 6-4 thumping of L666ds

After seeing Parkin we will realise how shit Alan Lee really is. Parkin will be in defenders faces without throwing himself on the floor and moaning at the ref and may actually look like threatening the goal.
I certainly aren't counting the days to when Lee is back in the side and if we could get Parkin to the end of the season I would be delighted.

Great bit of work that LC! Always rated him. Some would say he's a better player than AL, its a difficult one really. It'll be interesting to see if he plays well, keeps his place and gets kept longer.
Can you imagine if he starts getting a decent goals tally at the same time as JR knocking them in? Lee would be warming the bench...

I doubt Lee would even be on the bench! Only 5 these days, and that spot's for Novak, who can't be left out of the squad given his form this season.

He's not particularly mobile, but he's reasonable in the air, and a decent hold up player.
Quite similar to Alan Lee in fact.
