not powells fault that we have a thread bare squad he is just trying to do the best with a below average team who know that they will keep their place regardless as we have nobody pushing them for their spot. for example jake carroll coming on at left back away at Brentford!!!! few seasons ago we beat Brentford 4-0 at their ground Rhodes Roberts and ward tearing them apart with fast hungry young attackers now the boot is on the other foot at they have young hungry attacking pros and we have Vaughan isolated up top why cant we get chris long on loan or that Spanish lad they have from arsenal rather than edgar and miller

4th bottom every season, then! Aim high. You can aim where you like pal, we're in 15th.

third season running we're looking at how many points the bottom 3 have. Always looking over our shoulder though, aren't we.

After watching Town for over forty years I think its time to call it a day.How deano expects to sell season tickets after watching the CRAP football we have to endure week after week is beyond me.Powells substitutions are a laughing stock, the 3>0 win over Reading was possibly the only game I have enjoyed for a long time, all the fans around me in the Brit Res stand agree the defence and midfield are not good enough. Why do we recruit from Blackpool and Birmingham when clubs around and below us recruit from the prem and abroad. Please FA take Powell and his crap sidekick back down south im sure the FA had a big say in his appointment at Town....Rant Over...ffs.
You know that Reading game where we won 3-0? The one you enjoyed? Did you assume that Steve Clarke would be sacked, since that's the price to be paid for a 3 goal defeat?

tbh I really am not sure why Hoyle allowed Powell to bring in Edgar and Miller without some serious questioning, especially when he expects us to play a certain style, and neither of those players play in that style. Powell so far has a lot of weaknesses but he also has his strengths. The problem for me is that he doesnt seem to be learning from anything, such as substitutions, when you are getting dicked away from home, with about 20 odd per cent possession, it clearly needs some fresh ideas and some fresh legs. The Lolley situation is infuriating too, either he is good enough and should be given a run of games, or he isnt good enough and we should try and cash in. Why cant Majewski be given a chance when he is such a creative player and has been playing in a top side for the last few seasons. Why cant Gerrard be given the same motivational talk as Scannell was? Point is does anyone trust Powell to bring any BETTER players in,i don't. Why not? He hasn't spent a penny in transfer fees so far and we've done a lot worse than Edgar, Holt and Miller in the past. Give they guy a chance in the transfer market before your write him off Last week we were 12th for god's sake, get a grip

Absolutely slyman totally agree. Clearly people who go and spend their money will say they are entitled to show their discontent at matches but no good comes from this. It does drive away fans and it will drive away Hoyle. I'm not suggesting we should all be chanting his name at matches but as has been mentioned when we win the town forum is quiet but when we lose it seems everyone is starting a thread about how rubbish we are. As a club we've been from some dark days and we are pretty fortunate to be were we are now. I remember watching us play teams like Stockport county and Grimsby town in recent years and losing to them. We could so easily be in the same predicament as both these clubs. So moaners continue to moan, continue to berate whichever manager we have in place, continue to berate the club owner until you get what want. Then if things to do go pear shape you'll stop going and then I'll sTart going again watching rubbish football but enjoying it and having a laugh with my mates Hoyle should not be pissed off with the fans. He should be pissed off with Powell & the players who are not achieving what he set out to achieve at the beginning of the season. In any walk of life, if the paying customer aint happy, then he has a right to complain. Why should he be pissed at Powell? Ask yourself this.....How many teams currently above Town, have a smaller budget for players then we do? And how many teams below have a bigger budget? If the answer is close to zero and quite a few, respectively, then I must be missing something...

Notice your comparing us with probably the most rapidly improving side in the football league in the last 5/6 years. Just because Brentford have done exceptional, its got jack shit to do with town. If steady progression isn't enough for you, you obviously weren't born when we had to watch Huddersfield fall from where they are now to league 2 in the space of a few seasons.

Wrong. I remember being top of this division then falling down to League 2. What's wrong with comparing us to the likes of Brentford or Bournemouth? Why can't that be us? You'd compare us to.............Yeovil?

Bournemouth.....Are you pulling my pisser? Have you seen how much money they've spent? I think that answers your first question. You might also remember then, the last time we had a crack at doing what Bournemouth are doing, it ended in relegation and the club almost going bust

You would have thought that town would have a decent defensive record when managed by an ex defender who seems defensively minded. This is far from fact if going by towns abysmal defensive record , and this is just one failure by Powell that needs putting right sooner than later. There can be little or no room for error at championship level ,and it does help if we have players in those positions who have the ability to do the job. We must take into consideration that the poorly managed badly run clubs will again keep town at this level for another season , but the kind of football presently being played by town will not have fans queuing to renew their season cards.

Yeah but I keep hearing how Dean has spent £42m.
Yep. We had a crack and it went wrong. Or you could have a crack and it go right. Very right. It was only the sale of Steward that did it. Fine margins. I'd rather have another go to be honest, than not and never know.

Some people need to lower their expectations. Its not unreasonable for a mid table championship side to win a third, draw a third and lose a third. Of his 30 games thus far CP has won 10 drawn 8 lost 12. Not bad I would argue. Achieving what's expected of him with a squad of players he inherited. As had been said many times, if we are in this situation next season after he has had a decent opportunity to make some changes and work with the team in pre season then maybe some criticism will be deserved. until then... Spent £42m since taking over and only mid table Championship. Lower mid table, let's be accurate. I'd be pretty pissed off if that was my money.

criticism is fine, spouting on an on an on with constant negativity - what do you think that is going to achieve.
