After watching Town for over forty years I think its time to call it a day.How deano expects to sell season tickets after watching the CRAP football we have to endure week after week is beyond me.Powells substitutions are a laughing stock, the 3>0 win over Reading was possibly the only game I have enjoyed for a long time, all the fans around me in the Brit Res stand agree the defence and midfield are not good enough. Why do we recruit from Blackpool and Birmingham when clubs around and below us recruit from the prem and abroad. Please FA take Powell and his crap sidekick back down south im sure the FA had a big say in his appointment at Town....Rant Over...ffs.

1) watford? 2) wouldnt reference that, kind of idiots who berate smithies seconds, literally seconds after saving a penalty last season. shocking,

Clubs below us are recruiting from the prem? What does that say about our manager then?

Bloke who sits behind me has watched Town since 1950s and has said he won't be renewing his season ticket. Many will follow suit.

tbh I really am not sure why Hoyle allowed Powell to bring in Edgar and Miller without some serious questioning, especially when he expects us to play a certain style, and neither of those players play in that style.
Powell so far has a lot of weaknesses but he also has his strengths. The problem for me is that he doesnt seem to be learning from anything, such as substitutions, when you are getting dicked away from home, with about 20 odd per cent possession, it clearly needs some fresh ideas and some fresh legs. The Lolley situation is infuriating too, either he is good enough and should be given a run of games, or he isnt good enough and we should try and cash in. Why cant Majewski be given a chance when he is such a creative player and has been playing in a top side for the last few seasons. Why cant Gerrard be given the same motivational talk as Scannell was?

I see you're another who has had a perspective bypass. I am as annoyed/frustrated as anyone at the last two results, but talking about calling it a day when we are relatively comfortably in the Championship? By all means constructively criticise the manager/players/tactics - but such an over the top reaction to a poor result against one of the best teams in the league is ridiculous.

Why cant Gerrard be given the same motivational talk as Scannell was? This made me laugh Although to be honest, the latter has been no better than average the last few months, after being a world beater for a couple.

Why cant Gerrard be given the same motivational talk as Scannell was? Agreed. Powell has his strengths, as you mention, but he can be a little slow to react during games. It frustrates me sometimes too. RE: Majewski - I just think Powell doesn't fancy him - probably thinks he's too lightweight, but he's held down a place at Forest so he must have something about him. And you make a good point about Gerrard, although I think we've seen the last of him too. Shame, because despite what people say about his character I think he's well worth a place in a side with the second worst goals against column in the division.

Powell's Charlton side played dull football so don't be surprised what we are seeing.

I said it the other week and I'll say it again: seems a strange time to jack it in now we're potentially established in the second tier. Seen a lot, lot worse.

The last two games have been dreadful. Just heard his post match, he sounded very down. I still think he has to stay, we should be ok but these performances totally unacceptable.

Bloke who sometimes sits behind me has also been following them donkey's years. But given his only contribution on match days is to shout 'Gerrit fawrud!' when Town have the temerity to keep possession I hope he is one of the ones to follow suit.

That's really concerned me Nick, I would at least expect him to be euphoric after a 2nd battering in a few days in that London. You're right, he has to stay, massive overreaction yet again to a defeat.

Dunno, they were all happy when we had a sniff of a promotion, but since we got promoted and no longer have the chance of FA cup Round 1 glory against Slag Heap Rovers FC they all seem to be losing interest. Maybe folk just prefer watching genuinely poorer quality football?

Or maybe they long for a modicum of exciting football where we don't defend like school kids ! As displayed by the side we played tonight. A side just like us not packed with multimillion pound players / without endless resources / without 20k + crowds.

This Huddersfield team is not playing the type of football associated with our wonderful club and supporters . I can never remember any time in my 52 long years following of this club when they played such negative defensive type football , and the type of play we witnessed over recent matches seemed nothing more than a disaster waiting to happen. Powell will keep his job which is mainly down to other managers serious failures in this division, and Mr Hoyle might realise that something needs to be done urgently if the renewal of season card sales fail to come up to his expectations. Surely the clubs abysmal defensive record is a statement in itself , but Powell will try put things right when given the opportunity to put his own team together in the close season. The only way to progress in the championship is to have "championship quality players " that are better than the rest in this division , otherwise it will always be a case of the club relying on other clubs to fail.

Clubs below us are recruiting from the prem? What does that say about our manager then? That he can't compete with the likes of Warburton?

A tad unlucky in 1 or 2 thrashings er slight defeats but otherwise like er Brasil of yesteryear!! Fantastic football, really is, honest!

it's like watching paint dry. we have defenders who have the turning circle of an oil tanker. we have a midfield so soft as shit that they run away when the opposition has the ball. we have strikers who are so isolated they may as well still be in the dressing room.
yes. an entertaining watch guaranteed every week. Prozac on standby.

Got a bad feeling about it
