Enlighten me how that was done with a newspaper? (Window cleaning is a 'pink job') After you've (or 'er indoors) washed them and squeegeed the water off, scrunched up newspaper is great for 'polishing' any streaks and remaining water marks off. with a vinegar spray as well

I used to deliver the bastards as a kid. No wonder I never grew much over 5 11. At one point I had a morning, evening and Sunday morning round. If you had a lot of posh houses on Sunday, it was a nightmare, Sunday Times and Observer. The ragtops were a piece of piss, yer News of the Worlds and yer Sunday Sports etc My paper round was in Fixby. So many Sunday Times and Observers I had to make 3 trips back to the shop te refil my delivery bag. I remember the great Jasper Carrot talking about this years ago. He said he’d got such a backlog of Sunday Times to read he’s only just found out that Churchill is dead. I had two morning rounds before I had to get on the train to school. Always used to like Thursdays when some of the more adventerous households got Titbits. Quite often there were raunchy photographs in there. just what you need before school

Papers still sell very strongly on a Sunday in my area but I think it’s the older generation that are buying them. I have the Yorkshire Live App on my phone which includes the Examiner. This week they have blocked half of the stories unless you subscribe to “premium “. Accessibility of news has never been easier, but my god you have to pay for it. I left the UK in 2008, but before I did, I would go every Sunday to the newsagent to buy a Sunday Times. And you had to get there reasonably early because before lunchtime they were sold out. Not just a newspaper but a huge ensemble of magazines and supplements. Takes all day to browse through whilst chillin with a beer in the back garden. I miss that.

We've been the better side since we went 4-0 down. Funny thing is, the game is on while I am working. been in a video conference the whole game. But every time I took a sneak look on another monitor, we had the ball and were threatening to score. Without knowing the score I would have lumped on that we won 4-0

Spurs v Fulham Just one English player on the pitch. De Cordova Reid has dual nationlity - started off English, became a Jamaican as well.

Well I for one will be pleased to see the game go ahead. We need to get the conversations on here back to football and away from all the other mundungous that crops up every time there is an International break. UTT

The last game Best, Law and Charlton all scored in, I believe. I was at that game. Unfortunately my dad never bought a program and always cadged a sneaky look at someone elses at half time.

Think with good reason, they made an absolute shambles of a golden opportunity, squandering money on shite, the mind boggles really how it went so badly wrong. We did waste money on shite and relatively lots of money at that. But, every PL club wastes money on shite as well, year after year. But when your infrastructure to find players is probably the 20th most advanced out of 20 in the division, then the chances of making good decisions become far less. With the fiascos surrounding our Director of Football roles, the lack of a tangible scouting network, a massive change on the youth structures and a whole set-up which was mid Championship level at best, it is bloody miraculous that we stayed beyond a season. Hoyle invested in Wagner and probably we exceeded his expectations. It has been done to death previously, but we weren't remotely ready for the step-up. People will talk about Brighton and Brentford as counter examples but both had spent a much longer period of time investing in their models and infrastructure, so that they had a decent chance of staying there when they eventually did. Luton, like Town, were clearly nowhere near ready for PL football and it wouldn't surprise me if they would privately be quite happy to get relegated in the first season to then use the money more progressively in the Champ. Nagel talks a lot about getting the infrastructure right with the intention of staying in PL if/when we make it. Think this is the right thing to be doing but at the same time, giving a three year period to set all of that up in the background and at the same time massively invest in the playing squad is exceptionally ambitious. I often think about Brighton - how for years we floated around in the same league, 1 or 2. I have been to the Goldstone Ground, old and dirty as it was. When that fell apart they played for years at some shitty athletics stadium with hardly any covered stands whatsoever. Now they are challenging for Europe and have a manager who is being touted as the next big thing in changing the face of football. They got it right (eventually) but it took a long struggle. We are still in that struggle, but I feel all you can do right now is ride the Nagle and see where it takes us. UTT

They can do what they like. I only go in the hope of watching competitive attacking football, and hopefully a win for Town. In the couple of hours a fortnight I'm in the ground I get there 5 minutes before kick off and leave on the final whistle. I don't really give a shite about the pies, half time bingo, dancing women, fanzones, some cock in the pitch with a microphone, dj's, beer, fried fuckin chicken or anything else to be honest. You? Maybe. For me a football match is an event that lasts more than just 90 minutes. Part of it comes from meeting up with your mates before the game, having a beer in a communal setting - preferably surrounded by other Town fans. Preferably noisy ones. It's a day out. Improving the pub facilities adds to the matchday atmosphere for me. Adding stuff for the kids will do the same for families. Exactly. Before kids it was into the Vulcan for a few, then walk to the gas club. When the kids started going it was into Pizza Hut and then if we were lucky a couple at the Ropewalk.

Thought he was our best player today. Wants to be involved in everything, never stops running, has a part in everything we create. Top player. I love Jack and stuck up for him when others were calling him 12 months ago, but for me, Helik was our best player on Monday by a mile. One of only a few to emerge with much credit 1st half. JR offered little in the first half as far as I could see. 2nd half he was excellent though You could be right, it's a game of perceptions. JR is easy to spot, tall with his tussly hair. Second half he seemed to have the ball all the time. MH game is a lot of tackles, and interceptions. I guess they both played a huge part in that late late equaliser. UTT
