He used to live round the corner from me, old Darren, when he played for Pompey. Was a good friend of Linvoy Primus (who also lived round the corner). My son is the same age as Linvoys boy. I used to take them to cross country. Happy days them in Whiteley, if you read this Darren.

Personally I think its a ridiculous thing to say - Premier League in 3 years. He doesn't have enough money to bring in a whole new squad of top end chmpionship players, and even if he did, there is no guarantee they would want to come play for us. Most players are on 2 year contracts, so they will be gone before we hit the three year mark. Just staying in this league will be enough for me, with steady progress season on season.

It’ll be quicker to get a Marstons from the fanzone than queuing at their shop. Offer coleslaw, chips or a ticket for the match as sides and we’re on our way. Extra ‘slaw please! Reminds me of when my cousin was at Uni in Portsmouth and the regular drinking spot was the Fawcett Inn A favourite hobby of sailors, I believe 😉 The Fawcett Inn was my local for quite a while, used to be a member of the darts team there. Happy days. |
