Maybe just maybe we're going to announce it like stars in their eyes, Hudson walks down the tunnel then out comes (new manager) through the smoke I'd quite like a WWE-style entrance. All the lights go off, theme music starts playing, a single shaft of light comes from the centre circle as a newly-installed podium rises from under the pitch. Stood upon it, The Undertaker. Crowd goes wild. I remember Bobby Collins signing s manager on the pitch before a game at Leeds Rd

Read the article in The Mirror I linked to; he's pretty pointed about how it wasn't him that spent it. Is that misappropriation of funds? “If you ask me if I participate (in transfers), then my participation was minimal in this process. Different managers complain about this situation, it’s not just in Fulham, Jose Mourinho said something similar and modern football is going in a different direction. “In the end, it’s about the final say. People say, 'You signed Mitrovic in June.’ No, it’s not true. Mitrovic signed himself because he scored the goals, the supporters wanted him and he signed himself at a different price. “But I understand modern football, how the club is working, and I can agree or disagree on movement from the club’s side. But many clubs do it like that. Some teams give you the players and say, ‘Come on! Make the team!’"

I wonder if the timing of Wagner’s departure is because we need to move now to get our new man in, hence the announcement on Sunday. It could be someone out of work that has been approached about another job, that would prefer to come here. Or it might just be because after losing to Cardiff the last flicker of a chance of staying up has gone so we may as well get someone in so they can learn about the squad before next season. I wonder why we let VLP go though, I’d have thought the new guy would’ve wanted to have a look at him. Unless VLP demanded to go, or the new guy was consulted and knows enough about him to say that he doesn’t need him for this season. Nice to see that we’re moving so quickly though, there has clearly been a succession plan in place. Would like Jokanovic or some guy from Europe with top flight & Champions League experience, like the guy Southampton have just got in. We didn't lose.

It's got to be Jokanovic ..it all fits .. He turned the Forrest job down because he had already agreed to be our next manager in the summer....not thing that's got in the way he thought would be having a few months off...but obviously that's all changed now ... DH new that waggs was going at end of season..so it's clear that this appointment was already sorted... It's got to be Jokanovic it all fits ..and I know I will be happy if it is like most town fans will be .

Hudson doesn't yet have his UEFA A licence or his pro licence. According to the rules he can hold the position of caretaker manager for 12 weeks which wouldn't take us until the end of the season. With Skybet the odds for Jokanovic & Siewart have dropped to 4/1 in the last hour. am not a betting man but if I was iwoudnt be surprised with either jokanovic or siewart.! but as we know anything could happen

All it means is it’s someone who is currently employed, who as you say likely was set to arrive in summer. Just as likely to be Leonardo Jardim as Jokanovic.

Heard the reason VLP left was due to a non playing reason .... in the same way Marcus Stewart left. VLP was sent packing for creating divisions in the dressing room

Sky bet must not be aware of Hudson's coaching level Hudson can be in charge for upto 12 weeks without the license. Sky bet class any manager temporary or not as permanent if they are in charge for 10 weeks. So Hudson could be in long enough to be classed as the next permanent manager.

I know that however when the 12 week hits are we going to dump Hudson at this point (say April)

Sky bet must not be aware of Hudson's coaching level Read the line immediately above Hudsons name re 10 competetive games. He could manage for up to 12 weeks

Heard that we were talking with Jokanovic but you've got to see that Siewert would 'fit'. We have made a big deal about creating a legacy and an identity, one things for certain, we aren't going to dismantle our academys, appoint coaches to play the Wagner way etc and then appoint someone else who doesn't embrace that style of play. Siewert would be a ready made fit, understanding it from academy right through. It does make sense. The big thing though is that I personally believe that Wagner himself will have advised and choosen the successor. Who would he pick? Got to be someone from DATM, take your pick, but would guess the odds on favourite would have to be the one and only oti

It's obviously not someone at the club - they would announce it rather than let folk speculate.
I imagine we've been planning for wagners departure for a long time, with a list of potential candidates such as the dortmund guy being checked out
but jokanovic might have been put to the top of the list, im not wildly excited by him but i cant say why

If I remember correctly there’s precedent for going against this pro-licence rule... I think Gareth Southgate, a good few years ago now. Appointed before he had it and given some grace to gain it.
Perhaps our announcement on Sunday is Hudson, but we’re delaying it while we gain this exceptional permission from the PL. They only have to extend it for a few weeks given we’re very likely to be a championship outfit by the summer anyway.

Given the model we have both put in place, does the future involve ourselves and Norwich taking whoever is the next available Dortmund B coach at the time a vacancy arises ?

We get absolutely hammered on Sunday, and after the game Mark Hudson is unveiled as the new manager? Just remembered, when David Wagner arrived he was asked who he admired most in management in this country. He answered...….. Aitor Karanka…..Just a thought, he is unemployed.

Just been down to stadium shop to buy my son a ball. Guess who was there to sign the ball? None other than Alan Shearer himself. I will try and forward the pic on my mobile when I get home.

Watch this space, thats if you can wait that long. How much more speculation can we manage before the announcement?

Back to back league and cup doubles with Partizan Belgrade, left by mutual consent. A league championship in his only year in Israel. For some reason he took on the bottom team in the Spanish second division for the last 5 games of the season, won only one game and they were relegated. Fourth manager in five weeks at Watford in October 2014 and won promotion that season. Promotion, from nowhere earlier in the season, at Fulham. Having worked for the billionaire at Fulham, who demanded immediate success and who gave him too many players to choose from, (not a problem here) he might like working with Dean. Only been sacked once, I think. The Dortmund guy is the same age as Hudson, but fully qualified perhaps. If we could get around the licence business, why would we appoint someone like Siewert when our own guy has been with the club 4 years and has been learning from the Master? I hope it's one of these three.
