Are you happy to have Jan Siewert has the new Town manager ? If so that's great. I personally don't think lightening will strike twice but let's see It already has, Farke, Wagners replacement at Dortmund is taking Norwich up. Looks that way and I took a look at their team sheet from the weekend and didn't recognise the name of a single player, seems like they have got manager plus recruitment spot on, no idea if a lot are German or not but seems Webber has done a decent job there again, shame he didn't stay otherwise we may be midtable by now with a decent PL squad and Wagner still in charge.

Communication with the fans has not been the same since Julian Winter came in. Apparently he leaks to press that we have our man but does not choose to announce when a press conference will be. Post match interviews embarrassing when asked what they know and press officer shakes his head! Even Sean Jarvis quieter than normal apart from season card reminder. Just feel that decline started at same time as Winter came in. He appointed Rebbe and oversaw signings last summer. Winter didn't appoint Rebbe, he was Wagner's man. So is Winter this week's scapegoat then?

I saw/heard a comment that they were the last club in the country to have an English scorer this season.

So is Winter this week's scapegoat then? Jarvis is commercial and shouldn't be commenting on any first team affairs or recruitment. Winter does seem a bit 'quiet' and the comms does seem to have gone down hill a little but I guess it hasn't helped that there seems to have been disagreements behind the scenes. There was a real lack of info in the summer when we were signing and selling players, big players like Ince, Hef and Lolley left without any real comms or explanation and there didn't seem to be any real attempt to engage with the fans as in previous seasons. It didn't feel right at that time and there were no real comment from Wagner on incomings and outgoings, I don't think he said a single thing about Hef and Ince going which was odd. Maybe that's a result of having full houses week in, week out. It needs to improve IMO and get back to how it was in the promotion season where the club seemed to be on a charm offensive and very open.

Winter might not do many Q&A sessions but I can vouch that he is very approachable and has helped me with things related to the club on two occasions in the past few months. No one was criticising him when it was going right and many were rejoicing when he replaced Clibbens, who was an odious creep by the way. Ask the lasses in the office what they think of Clibbens. I just think people are trying to find someone to blame and after already giving Rebbe pelters, let's move on to Winter. Who's next, the tea lady?

Got to say I'm very surprised anyone even intimated that we'd decided who we want/'got our man' or whatever to the media.
I thought we said absolutely nothing until everything was fully confirmed these days? No more empty chairs and all that.

The same German media stated we have agreed a compensation fee and that he missed training/game Saturday.

Although I'm using Google translate I can't see anything in there that says the deal's off and they're sticking to their story that we've had an offer of €300k compensation agreed with Dortmund.

Google Translate: Ingo Preuss is constantly answering the same questions. How about football teacher Jan Siewert? How is the actual state in this matter? Whether this coach has already opened for contract signing to England? Preuß, Dortmund's U-23 manager, was a bit annoyed on Sunday. "Signed is nothing yet" He could not suck the news so synonymous from his fingers. "Signed," he simply said, "is still nothing." However, the key facts, they are clear: 300,000 euros will be the transfer fee for Siewert - and the change in the Premier League to Huddersfield Town, which lost on Sunday still with 0: 3 against Manchester City - happen in a timely manner. The signs could hardly be closer. So dense that an English journalist in front of the cameras was asking a spectator who looked like Siewert in Huddersfield to ask if he was Jan Siewert. A question that, strange as the scene from England seems, was not unjustified. Because on Saturday in Dröschede, at Dortmund's first preparatory match in 2019, Siewert was no longer on the sidelines. The morning training in Brackel had the 36-year-old still instructed, then he lacked "for reasons of protection," as it was called. David Solga, Siewerts assistant coach, took over the lead role in the 3-1 friendly win over country side Borussia Dröschede. A game that had become completely incidental. Massimo Ornatelli, Dortmund captain, was standing in front of Dröschede's small clubhouse after the final whistle with a thick winter jacket and a beanie drawn deep in the face - and in the icy cold formulated warm farewell words in the direction of the departing coach. Sure, he did not even know what would happen in the coming days, Ornatelli said. "Should he suddenly not be there, that would be weird." In the summer of 2017 Siewert coach of Dortmund U 23 was "until recently a very integral part of us," said Ornatelli, who then to a multi-minute ode the only three years older boss started. "I am now 33 years old. Humanly, I have not had a better coach so far, "says Massimo Ornatelli. In addition to the football knowledge, this midfielder impressed first and foremost the way Siewert. "I'm 33 years old now," Ornatelli said, "I have not had a better coach on a human level so far. He encourages and demands, but also takes into account, has compassion and a good heart. Working with a team is his thing - and that will eventually be rewarded. " Great opportunity for Siewert Although it came as a surprise then, this great opportunity for Siewert to start immediately as head coach in the Premier League. External observers were astonished, as well as Siewert himself, Preuss and Dortmund's players. Although this football teacher already had a well-endowed offer from England last summer, then from second division Queens Park Rangers. Significantly more attractive, however, is the current one. I like the "so dense" bit.

Jan Siewert is yet again the cheap option. If we really wanted a return to the premier league sooner rather than later jokanovic was looking straight at us having taken Watford and Fulham up from the championship. They are trying to do the David Wagner approach again and I think this one is going to come back and bite us in the arse. Hope I’m wrong. We always try to save a few bob on everything it does my head in. Also get that Julian winter out aswell. Arrogant tosser
