Jan Siewert is yet again the cheap option. If we really wanted a return to the premier league sooner rather than later jokanovic was looking straight at us having taken Watford and Fulham up from the championship. They are trying to do the David Wagner approach again and I think this one is going to come back and bite us in the arse. Hope I’m wrong. We always try to save a few bob on everything it does my head in. Also get that Julian winter out aswell. Arrogant tosser I'm struggling to see anything in this guys locker thay warrants him getting the town job. The research I have done on him doesn't sound great. This is from a Rot Weiss fan: ”In my opinion, by far the worst coach ever to work for RWE - even ahead of the legendary Heiko Bonan.”

Got to give him a chance, but im afraid my mind will be made up in the first 30 seconds of his news conference...... first impressions are usually lasting ones and hard to shake off. I am praying he has some personality and talks of full throttle attacking football on the grass.

With their Dortmund B team 'cheap option', Norwich are having at least a good a season so far as we had in our promotion season under Wagner. No guarantee with any manager of course but from the evidence it looks like Dortmund's philosophy and appraoch is turning out some half decent coaches so let's see what happens before we write him off eh?

The guy was sacked at RWE all their fans wanted him out. Has no credentials even for a league one club. God knows what our players will make of this.

Wagner had no credentials at all before we took a punt on him. Just cos he got sacked from one job don't mean he's useless.

Jan Siewert - On site @ the club now. No doubt he's somewhere being asked what his favourite colour is for the HTTV video...

Communication with the fans has not been the same since Julian Winter came in. Apparently he leaks to press that we have our man but does not choose to announce when a press conference will be. Post match interviews embarrassing when asked what they know and press officer shakes his head! Even Sean Jarvis quieter than normal apart from season card reminder. Just feel that decline started at same time as Winter came in. He appointed Rebbe and oversaw signings last summer. Folk moaned at what Wilson and Webber, they took it to unprecedented levels with Rebbe. Folk moaned about Clibbens and now Winter seems to be the one getting the scapegoat tag currently. I absolutely love DH but he appointed each and every one of those. Anyone who thinks that Rebbe was SOLELY appointed by Winter needs to give his head a bloody good shake!

If it is Jan he will have my support but I do agree with some of the other comments on here about what he has actually done so far.
When David Wagner came to Town I had a lot of the same reservations. I did not know anything about him, had no clue if he would be any good, and I am glad to say he did a fantastic job. Having said that I think Jan is an even bigger risk because the chances of every coach coming out of the Dortmund B set up being a great coach is slim to none. So far there have been 2 I know about, I think 3 in a row is beyond a long shot but hope it pays off.

A UEFA PRO licence holder well before 36 years of age. The development team coach of the best team in the world once you put budget, success and playing style into perspective. Former Germany 18s coach, one of the very best National teams. Very similar coaching path/experience to our last manager who was unfathomably successful....

Dortmund know what they're doing, they're one of the best clubs in Europe for spotting talent both on the playing and coaching sides. They'll hardly have appointed some chancer to bring their youth through when that's one of the things they absolutely excel at.

I'm guessing he will be the youngest manager in the current prem, Silva and Howe both over 40 now. Siewert is about the same age as Clark was when we took him on but this is much higher profile.

Before David Wagner ... they were coached by Hannes Wolf who later won promotion from Bundesliga 2 to Budesliga with Struggart Now at Hamburg who are top of Bundesliga 2 So I’d say there’s 3 in a row - Not bad I’d say Are you saying 4 in a row is a long shot?

Of more importance can we think up a good song - perhaps "There's only 2 Jan Siewerts" as a starter for 10?
